  1. I sure hope this album comes out before Xmas... I thought it was almost done.
  2. This is quite possibly the best thing I have ever read.
  3. Perhaps ... actually I have quite a few ideas for a Quick Man mix that I've been wanting to make, so I may end up going that direction depending on which Robot Master I'd be facing. A lot will depend on which themes will work with the style I have in mind.
  4. Soooooooooooooo... how bout them remixes? I just want to thank all the artists for all the great music this compo produced and for Darke for coordinating everything! I had a great time listening to all the awesome music created each Saturday. You guys rock!
  5. Oh damn... this is going to be tough. I like both songs a lot. I think I'm going to have to listen through quite a few times before voting.
  6. This is pretty cool. I may join in at some point. The only reason I didn't do the GRMRB 2011 was because of time constraints, but my time has opened up a bit now. I'll let you guys know if/when I want to participate.
  7. @Metal Man, I think you are missing the point sir. Brandon said no black businessman has ever committed a crime. I'm not sure you can count Lil Wayne as a businessman. And what's a gangstat?
  8. Argh I hate it when that happens. @Gario: you got called out in the previous post man, turn in yo stuff! I am eagerly awaiting this album. The previews have sounded great, can't wait!
  9. I'm looking forward to the final matchup! Although it will be sad to see this compo end, everyone's done such a great job!
  10. Vurez has an awesome Pharaoh Man mix that I've had on my playlist for years. I think it's actually in the to-be-posted queue right now.
  11. Nice! Sounds like there are some pretty solid tracks there. I hope the album gets released sometime soon! Although it seems like the OCR album queue is sooooooo long these days (not that that is a bad thing though)...
  12. Ouch... that's rough. I had mainly just wanted to check out the website to see the proposed track/artist listing, since there isn't one on the first thread post. I stumbled upon this project pretty late, so I haven't been following it since the beginning. If you could throw the teasers up on box.net or tindeck or something, that would be great though, I'd like to hear them! Thanks.
  13. does anyone know when the new website (and teaser tracks) will be back up?
  14. I'm not sure if they have equivalent songs on the Alter F OST. The Alter F OST expanded on a lot of the shorter tracks that were used in the original Wild Arms to signal a boss battle or dungeon, etc. but I couldn't find a version of either... so I defer to one of the project directors.
  15. Yeah! Great job pixelwave! Your music was awesome, I hope you do stick around. You should polish up one of your tracks ("Toad Gang's Heist" was probably my fav) and try submitting!
  16. For a first attempt it sounds pretty good! I liked it! The "GO" voice made me think of the voice from the Bejeweled games (which also says GO at the beginning of a level) hahaha.
  17. One of my new favorite songs. Two things I love: piano and jazz. This song has both. I am ashamed to admit though that I've never played this game or heard any music from it. If this is any example, then it must have some good stuff. Great job!
  18. What is really creepy is 'Super Mario Blues' came on my playlist just as I was reading that post. No joke.
  19. har har har. It would be cool to see bLiNd participate in one of these compos tho...
  20. Nice to finally see this one on the front page! I've had a version of this on my playlist from a looooooong time ago on the WIP forums. Great job Jewbei!
  21. haha, yeah I figured neblix wasn't serious, and I wasn't attempting to single him out with my suggestion. I was just making a point, that in general, quite a few people seemed to have issues with the voting process, so I was merely offering a suggestion. But yeah, the more I thought about it (and saw some of the comments), it would be rather pointless because anyone even remotely familiar with OCR would be able to figure out who's mix was who's given the style, samples, production, etc. of the song, unless someone did something completely off-the-wall. In general, I don't see what's so difficult about the voting process. Just pick which song you enjoy most.
  22. I think perhaps next compo we should have some sort of "blind" voting method, where in the tags only the name of the song is available, with no artist info. Then when we vote we'd just be voting for "name of song". Of course, each of the artists would abstain from voting in that match-up to avoid giving away who's track is who's. It might not be perfect, but it feels like right now we're running into issues where some people are voting based on who they'd like to see in a future match-up, or are voting against an artist based on their preconceived notion of what a song from a certain artist should sound like. Sure, in some match-ups people may be able to still guess who's song is who's, but this might be a good idea in the future...
