  1. I just bought the album as well! I'd been listening to it the past few days on bandcamp and it was definitely worthy of a purchase! Great stuff BGC!
  2. Damnit neblix, listen to your brother! You aren't supposed to post these things
  3. I voted for Jill too! She's only a few votes shy of #1 now! and @Larry: I couldn't find any song by Kate Covington (aka katethegreat19) on there? Did you have a link for hers?
  4. I was thinking it would be cool if we came up with some new shirt designs. What we have now is great, but they're the same shirts we've had for years. We have so many talented people here, it seems like it'd be easy to mock up a few new designs. Any plans for that in the future djp?
  5. Compared to impure sex? By the way, nice album BGC! I listened to a few of the tracks on bandcamp and it sounds pretty good. I'll probably end up buying this!
  6. Hey Cyril, did you ever (or have any plans to) expand on your Blade man track from the GRMRB 2011? It was awesome stuff.

  7. I GROW RESTLESS! WILL NO MAN (OR WOMAN) CHALLENGE ME? Seriously.
  8. I like it! This song sounds like it belongs on The Ataris' "So Long, Astoria".
  9. Nice start here. I like the variety in the instrumentation used thus far. Don't really have a whole lot of criticism, other than what Rozo mentioned below. I like where it's going though, can't wait to here more.
  10. Hah awesome! If ya do, maybe I can get a shoutout when this thing gets posted (in 2 years) Hmmm... maybe. I can hear the resemblance, but I was really thinking those riffs were directly from a specific Sonic zone. Maybe it just sounds like it should be. Oh well. A lot of the little things I mentioned in my last post don't really seem to bug me after a few more listens. I think I was just used to the old versions. I'm still a little torn on the ending though. At first I was thinking something with more energy, a bit more punch to it would sound better, but now that I've been thinking about it, the whole song is pretty upbeat high-energy, so the more chill, laid-back ending may actually work better. That's entirely a matter of preference though, from a production & quality standpoint, what you have now is solid. I'd say this thing is ready for mod review.
  11. If there are people who still don't like vocal remixes after hearing this song, then there is no hope for the world.
  12. Nice update! I like the expanded intro section starting with the new little part from :15 - :28. Sounds slick. The offbeat syncopation at 0:50 - 0:52 bugs me a little bit cause it sounds a little out of place, but that could just be because I'm so used to the previous two versions. The more I've listened to it the better it sounds. Great use of the sound effects at 1:13. Perfect placement for them. What is that new part on the wah guitar starting at 1:15 - 1:45 in the background!?! I know it's from a Sonic stage, but I don't think it's from Death Egg. I can't place it and it's bothering me. Sounds good nonetheless though. I still don't know how I feel about the first part of the transition section (2:48 on is absolutely fantastic though), I think I like it more than the previous version, but it's hard to tell. I still feel like it meanders a bit. Wah guitar > organ. I like that section much much better. The organ just wasn't meshing well. The guitar does the trick though. Sound effects at 4:00 again nice. 4:02 has that damned background piece that I can't place. Again, nice. The wah guitar shenanigans at the end are good, I like them. The ending still doesn't scream awesome, but overall I like it the best of the 3 versions thus far. As for names (not like you were asking ), I like to give my songs terrible punny names based off the track I'm mixing. So we've got "death" and "egg"... hmmm... you could go with "Funk till You Die" or "Funky Side Up". Enjoy.
  13. Somebody get Random aka Mega Ran to record that Concrete Man rap for us. EDIT: oh yeah or the Bronx Rican would def work too!
  14. Haha this is awesome. I too was wondering what happened to Concrete Man! However, I have to wonder if this is just another of DarkeSword's cleverly disguised attempts (see GRMRB) to have people make Mega Man remixes for him...
  15. This album is great! Top quality songs across the board. Pretty much every song could have been a direct post. Speaking of direct posts, where is Main Finger!?! His track was rockin' and he needs some more OCR lovin'. Great job though to everyone! I thoroughly enjoy this release!
  16. Great first post. I've been looking forward to this album! This was one of my favorite songs from the OST, so I'm glad to see it got such a nice mix here. Nice job k-wix!
  17. Oh boy, this is awesome. I must admit when I heard this song on the video preview, I was like "whaaaa?" so I made it a point to listen to this song first from the album. I absolutely love it. The vocals are over-the-top ridiculous, but in a great, too awesome to comprehend kind of way. I'm also a big fan of jazz, so the instrumentals are spot on in my book. Great job!
  18. Eh, what the hell, since you guys added my name to this official looking list and all, I suppose I can make some time to participate. I have some ideas for a mix against Search Man, but I'll face whoever, whenever, so someone just let me know if you're up for the challenge. I plan on going at a rather leisurely rate though, so just don't expect anything from me too quickly. And I'll go with Quick Man as my robot master.
  19. The completed tracklist looks great so far Jade! I can't wait to here the whole album. Hopefully it can still be released in time for the 15th year anniversary!
  20. That's good to hear! The previews have sounded absolutely amazing, so if that's any indication of the album as a whole, it should be epic.
  21. I'd take 60 very high quality songs over 80-90ish that hit or miss (not directing that at any particular album, just saying quality > quantity)
  22. Yeah I second the comment on the individual parts of the song sounding very clear and crisp (except for that damned organ), which is great. I was originally opposed to the artificial slap bass as well, but the more and more I hear it I think it really fits the piece. I'd be interested to hear what full FM sounds like, but I don't think a "believable" bass sound would mesh well with the funky 80s vibe I get from this track. VG sound effects when used well (like in tSoS album) and not just for kicks are great. I think they would work well in that part of the song.
  23. So I've watched the trailer for this a ton of times. I really really can't wait now
