  1. Frack... I don't know how but I got my scheduling wires crossed and have plans for this Saturday right after work... But hey Taucer, want to get some coffee at Global Village some time?
  2. I never beat TP but got a fair amount of distance in and when it seemed to become a remake or anthology of "Zelda's greatest gameplay moments" I got tired of it. There are some cool new elements, but hunting down the 4 ghosts just like in OOT rubbed me the wrong way. If it's a new game, I'd prefer the developers to make a new game. If it's a remake, I'd rather them not represent it as something new.
  3. Dude, rock. I'm in Raleigh at NCSU, too. Labor Day itself I *think* I'm off...definitely from one job, not sure about the other.
  4. when i play it, i feel like...somehow i'm playing OCR - it's like the spirit, the concept of OCR, is in Rearmed.
  5. downloaded after midnight, thought i could play just a few minutes and go to bed...i couldn't stop until a few hours in...
  6. I'm still in this! Well...more or less...haven't been able to do DDR in a couple weeks as a couple life changes have been taking up a lot of time, but I'm down to 175 - still watching what I eat - so from the beginning of this thing to now I've lost 26 lbs.
  7. All I has is a PS2 and a laptop...so I will be getting the PC version. About frackin' time they revealed the release date!
  8. Not Paper Mario, but something from the classic four games - SMB1 through SMW. Eh?
  9. Good heavens - I've not checked in for awhile... But I'm still in it! Down to 175! BOOYAH!
  10. I almost cheered when her character got blown up...but I actually felt kinda bad for Batman and Dent.
  11. I really, really dig mixes with this kind of epic feel. The orchestration is big and it has that phat beat that kicks in right at 1:47. I didn't realize I was still listening to the same mix towards the end when I heard it for the first time; that's like finding a surprise dollar in your pocket. A 16 minute mix would be awesome. Kind of like a suite or mini-project or something.
  12. I want to sing...and dance. But I'll sing for the mix. I have a mic and decent recording software.
  13. Happy birthday, and thanks for all the fish! Er...remixes! Seriously, about 70% of my music library is comprised of OCRemixes. I really appreciate what you've done with this concept and website! Happiest of birthdays and congratulations on the engagement.
  14. Starting at 5:26 there's this crazy effect with an echo/reverb on the chimes (glockenspiel?) where it sounds like the echo is in surround sound; I can visualize the notes playing somewhere from distant parts in my head, not just in my ears where music is usually heard... How on earth is that achieved? It's wonderful! And overall I really dig the mix, that's just what sticks out as I listen to it now.
  15. CT - Dream of Zeal and Zelda 2 Temple Trance are two of the oldest remixes I still listen to regularly from when I first joined OCR in '02. Zeal in particular is one of my favorites that I played over and over and over again from '02-'03. I was going through a lot of crap and mixes such as this helped me chill out, relax, and keep things in perspective. I'm so sorry to hear he's down with this illness, but I will join in praying that this doesn't put him out.
  16. Maintaining at 180...faltered a little towards the week's end, but we're back on track today w/the DDR and a new weight routini.
  17. Check, check; mic check. Holding steady at 180 - last week was nuts. Back on the DDR pad again this week and hittin' the weights.
  18. Hmmm...good point. Pocketman, you have my words of support. Good luck! I'm looking forward to clips and such and when the time comes, the final product.
  19. Ah, that dream within a dream...
  20. So 60-pg script = ~60 minute film? 8-9 minutes of car combat leaves 51ish for background on Sweet Tooth and then run around on your feet style-fighting. Maybe call it "Twisted Laces" instead?
  21. Czech Inn This week was rather hit-or-miss. I exercised with no degree of regularity - hit the DDR pad only a couple of times and I don't think even touched the weights. It was the last week of classes and there's some...other stuff going on, but I've been careful about eating I seem to have gotten my metabolism going well since I started this whole thing and I've still lost weight. At the end of this week I'm down to 184 - a 17 lb. loss from the beginning. Overall I'm feeling pretty good. This week and next are free of class and I aim to get back on the bandwagon with vigor - shooting for a drop to 180 by Saturday. I'm really glad you started this, Steben. I'm not sure I would have had the same motivation to get in and stick with it.
