Now that Bada(cartoon slide up sound effect): Boss Themes Volume I is slated for this month, is ARMed and DANGerous still going to launch on December 20 like JaDE ARaN HaRuNo had hoped?

I couldn't think of any hypothetical opportunities to use OverClocked to cut into video game industry profits even if I wanted to. I don't see how anything in O-Clocked defeats the purpose of buying the corresponding item or service from any game company. The only reason money is sent to O-Clocked is in the form of donations simply to keep it running or make the hard copies of the albums, which, the way I see it, doesn't circulate enough money to really "profit" off the music.
But even if we could prove their bottom lines weren't suffering at our hands... if they would shut us down to "protect" their IPs, they must think we're "invading" them. What constitutes "invading" an IP?

Remember that time when David Wise, Bean, and someone else collaborated on Serious Monkey Business' "Re-Skewed"? The OST composers came here to our projects to build upon their own previous work. Similar things have happened with other projects, IIRC. That begs the questions: If it would cost the game companies business, why would they do it? If our activities don't bleed the game industry, why would they want O-Clocked shut down?

A shined-up version of the 2010 preview? They're all better than before, if you ask me. Also, didn't I hear something about the final preview being deployed around Christmas?
-
Now we just need Trans-Siberian Tuning Fork and I'll be satisfied with the Lucid Dreaming singles.
-
What was that last track that Salluz turned in? Along with Pierces the Heavens, the front post isn't updated with it for some odd reason.
And what was the judgment on all the 1/2 and 3/4 finished songs?
-
57 tracks and counting!
By the way, is "Priority Nemesis" the regular boss battle theme ReMixed by Flexstyle? I noticed it just got past the panel and O-Clocked will now release it as a single.
And is "Premonitions" the ReMix for A Wound Carved Upon the Heart?
-
This album, above all else, sparks my interest in a Mega Man 10 album. What's the likelihood of such an album?
-
I nominate this for O-Clocked's Best Debut 2011.
-
Now that production is over, I must ask: Which of those estimated 8 or 9 tracks with 1/2 and 3/4 completion will be included on ARMed and DANGerous? Of those that won't be on the album, will they be posted somewhere else for whom they may concern?
-
The style I ask for is industrial rock. If there's another style you believe that would better suit this track on Delta-Q-Delta, use it instead.
Thank you!

Hang on. If ARMed and DANGerous were to be released around December 20, 2011 as JaDE aRaN HaRuNo planned, would you be allowed to release this in that same month?
-
Remember that time when I estimated this would release in September? Is there still a chance it will be released by September 30?
-
My 2 questions about this situation is:
*Did ABG's track for A Sorrowful Separation get rescinded for the same reason?
*Is it still possible for bLiNd to complete his other 3 claimed tracks, including the replacement track for A Sorrowful Separation?
By the way, it still says 9 tracks are claimed without a WIP. I only count 8.

As of the evening of July 28, 11 tracks are either 1/2 or 3/4 finished. In the off chance that these don't get finished, will they be at least appended to the album as bonus tracks?

Where's GTAHater?
He'd love this thread right now.
Yessss.... I love how everything turned out, and I concur with Draconiator's last post. And before I forget this question yet again: Seeing that Serious Monkey Business got almost half of its songs singled for O-Clocked, is this album likely to get more tracks than that singled?
Edit: And I don't know where you heard that, Strader, but don't believe it!

The reason people are so stuck on graphic quality these days is because of how much all the games suck... they just suck sooo hard... and the good graphics are there to compensate for how much the games suck. The games with lesser graphics (wii) that are actually enjoyable (not shovelware) are then laughed at by gfx-nazis. If the games suck then the graphics are VERY important.
To Strader: I should've expected someone to say that sooner or later. I think the problem is more like "half the most popular games since 2007 have been shooters, and there's little room left for innovation in that genre."
To The Damned: Stop cussing at me! I just remember the XBOX and XBOX 360 icons so vividly because they were written in acid green and/or silver. As for the years, with 2001-2009, it's a long story, but it started when I realized that if the 2 is removed from 2007, you're left with a famous character's nickname.
To DarkeSword: You're the only mod here I know of. If I've really caused too much trouble like I think I have, I'll surrender my account to the admins. I don't value my account that much anyway.

Okay but honestly, how much more powerful can systems get? besides, MS and Sony don't plan on releasing their nest consoles before 2014.
Right! And we all know how long after launch it took for Sony to get things in high gear! If you ask me, it wasn't until 2009 that the PlayStation 3's price had subsided adequately, and there was enough good software to make it worth the buy. The XBOX 360 launched at the beginning of 2006, and it had substantial software by the end of 2007, but the price didn't recede until September 2009 IIRC. The Wii launched in early 2007, and by May 2008, it had just over half the software to make that worth it. In October 2009, the Wii got a price drop to $200.
But in terms of system power, they do seem like they're reaching their cap. The graphics quality on games is almost exactly the same as 2007. So maybe the WIIU won't be quite as powerful as the 3rd XBOX console or PlayStation 4. I'm not counting on any breakthroughs, so it'll probably be by a reasonable margin.

Upon looking more closely, I take back my previous comments on the Wii U controller. It's definitely not the worst I've ever seen, but rather it's mediocre. As long as the controller feels tolerable to hold, and the people making games for it don't try and do too much with all the features of that controller, it shouldn't be that bad. The worst controller I've ever seen was for the Atari 5200, and for the Wii U's controller to be even half as bad is a bit of a long shot.

I was hoping we could measure O-Clocked's approval rating of Smash 1, Melee, and Brawl (individual approval ratings, not in relation to each other). Does anyone have any better ideas than a poll?
-
To Overflow: Mr. Game & Watch is among my top 3 characters along with Ike and Fox. Still, if you arranged the characters from whom I was best with to whom I was worst with, the gradient would be gentle (that can't be said of Melee).
On topic: I'm hoping they finally make Ridley playable, most of all.
-
My intuition tells me that the problems surrounding the Wii U ("Doubleyou aye aye you" would've made for a better pronounciation) controller are being exaggerated?
-
Anyway OT... if something good doesn't come out of this announcement, i may never watch an e3 again.. cause this is rubbish.
I know how you feel. I've already dropped all my anticipation for E3 2012. They already have a checkered past with E3 2008 anyway.

What is WRONG with video game controllers lately? First, Sony teased a boomerang controller for the PlayStation 3 in 2005. That was scrapped in favor of SixaxiS. Then the Wii remote/nunchaku controller gets all its potential wasted, now this! It's in their best interests to make it more graceful or design an all-new controller because controllers haven't impressed me in years.

I heard somewhere that this is only Volume 1. Will there ever be a second volume?
