  1. I think that's an understatement. If there's more to show then you'll get more attention.
  2. FL Studio and Cubase have the smoothest piano roll to me, if you could get a deal on a "starter" (student price for Cubase is fairly cheap) edition and get a hold of some free VSTs you could do pretty well.
  3. https://soundcloud.com/williamthurin/the-land-after-time What's your impression? I'm not sure if I should re-upload because of the pop, I'll wait and see if anyone comments on it.
  4. Reminds me of two steps from hell. The guitar adds a lot. Liked it.
  5. You really can't go wrong with Kontakt. I can't imagine how it's like not having Kontakt. As far as orchestral libraries go I would recommend Albion or Loegria from Spitfire Audio. In contrast to EW they have very nice support and the libraries aren't too expensive.
  6. I've come to the conclusion that it's the instrument used for the melody that bugs me. Anyways, nice and clean mix the lower bass notes are especially good, it has a little too much mid frequencies on the highest notes. I made a remix fast because I wanted to hear how the melody sounded with a different instrument http://tindeck.com/listen/ckpw I'm sorry, I feel like I shouldn't have commented in the first place.
  7. I'm torn on this song. The beginning of the melody just makes me think news intro theme but at the same time it has suspense and some progression. It's kind of driving me crazy not gonna lie.
  8. You're expecting something that you aren't getting and It already sounds like you find it very boring. It's harder to turn it around once you think that way. Ideally you should have no expectations and if you find something that interests you, focus on it.
  9. Thanks. Overfly is a great ending theme but the singing in the the chorus and intro is the main reason I like it. Takaku takaku ♪
  10. One of my favorite animes with music written by Yuki Kajiura (one of my favorite composers). I can't wait for episode 23 to air.
  11. If the cover had art from the games featured in the cd it would've been better. Instead they went with the Modern Warfare fps style cover.
  12. Cool I changed the title. The thing that made me want to highlight it was the divine blessing on the very last tick of poison and because I was so lucky the boss didn't go for an attack when I used it. It's great for background music. Looking forward to hearing it. I don't stream often because my computer isn't up to par for most games otherwise I'd probably try getting into streaming some more. With Kripp it's more like he does it because he enjoys it but he makes a living doing it at the same time.
  13. This music makes me feel good. Warm and relaxed. I had it on while streaming Dark Souls and I got a good moment that I highlighted so the music is in that clip. I'll take it down immediately if you don't want it to be. http://www.twitch.tv/hidun/c/1756541 Either way I really like this EP.
  14. The intro really struck me for some reason. There is too much low, low-mid frequencies and lacking in highs and high-mid. It has a very nice medieval/renaissance feel.
  15. I use Kontakt, Alchemy player and Renegade. I mostly write orchestral music but not exclusively. Thanks, I will.
  16. It's not a goal of mine but if I happen to make a remix that I'm very happy with maybe.
  17. Thanks for letting me know how you made the sound.
  18. Thank you, no I just made this for fun. Yes the string melodies are (it's two different patches 1st Violins and 2nd Violins one is a little softer) in the background a little too much I should probably have doubled the start of the attack with a detache or staccato patch. Thanks BlackPanther and Guifrog.
  19. The way wet and dry sounds are mixed as well as smooth and rough is really nice. The percussive marimba/mallet/drop sound is gorgeous. It reminds me of Schala's theme and Heaven's Tower. Such a chill song and a treat for the ears. I might just have to favorite it on Soundcloud.
