  1. I was thinking the same thing.... I think it would be cool if it were facing the opposite way the Mega Man bracket is, to make it like one big tournament bracket... but that might not be the best way to go about it since......idk, I think it would just look weird on the first post of the thread, actually. EDIT: Sniped
  2. If you guys are wondering why my votes are all so close together time-wise, it's because I just wanted to get voting overwith, and I was lazy, and---- Just kidding I had already listened to all the remixes pretty much as soon as they were released by Darke. Haha I didn't just vote randomly, which may be what it looks like to somebody who doesn't look closer.
  3. I was thinking along the lines of either really dark and drenched in reverb, or all-out dubstep 0_0 But first I need to learn how to wub-wub and yoi-yoi and all that jazz.......I mean dubstep......
  4. Exactly why I've been holding off my votes on the remixes of sources I don't know off hand. I gotta do a catfish's maw remix sometime.......
  5. I'll vote on the rest of the remixes later once I've become familiar with the sources
  6. Transition = hypnotic Maybe lower the volume of the mono synth during the transition a little bit. It drowns out the piano just a bit. Everything else is perfect about that transition, imho The leads are pretty simple, but you know what damn it, they WORK. For the atmosphere of the song especially. The percussion is a lot better too. My hat's off to you, sir.
  7. If Devastus has dropped out completely and Starphoenix submits.....well, anything, like he said he would, I guess he wins by default?
  8. It sticks fairly close to the source. Try to incorporate some of your own composition into it as well, not just changing around some stuff. I like your instrumentation, but production needs some work. Throughout it sounds very crowded. I'm not sure if it's just Youtube doing that or not (which brings me to suggest, use a file hosting website like tindeck or box.net next time ) The pad selection is interesting. It sounds weird at times, almost dissonant. But at other times it really fits in with the 'spooky' atmosphere quite well. Example: during the beginning and other parts like it, it sounds fine, but during parts like :14 and :21, it sounds kinda out of place. I like that progression at 1:35, pretty jazzy I like the percussion you have too and what you did with it. My main gripes about the mix include it's conservativeness and its production. Work on EQ a bit more, and instead of an abrupt cutoff ending, add some of your own material (creatively incorporating some source in there too, perhaps) and end it powerfully. Keep working on this one, and have fun with it
  9. I must have been the only one to see this I envy your sneakiness
  10. It was very necessary. In all seriousness though, I'm doing all I can to keep myself from posting a WIP here out of excitement
  11. Instead let's express our excitement by mashing our keyboards! dfjklajkl;sdi;wejkl;jkldioewerwu8q0reupdfas'fdas fdadfasjkflda fdjasjgdla;luit8pu43qqeriojfjkl;dkjl;vmkl;ajkl;l;jkm, kkm, kkkkk,k yyyyep Maybe it would be better to just contain the excitement....
  12. I spent 10:42 on it and it's 3:33 long; and my tempo is 170. That's pretty good for me, haha
  13. Speaking of taking my sweet time.....my mix is finished. XD @Gario: I call "Blowin'em Outta the Water" as my remix title.
  14. I'm takin' my sweet time XD No need to rush things. Especially when you take as much time as I do
  15. Thanks a lot, bro :D And best of luck in the compo!

  16. @Dracionator What plugin did you use to make that bitcrush effect? Hahaha I've been looking for something lo-fi like that for 'crunch' effects.
  17. Thanks a lot for the sigs, and great job on them as well!
  18. Glad you guys like it Well, here's what I suspect will be the final version now. I noticed some of the highs were a little painful at high volumes, so I brought the highs of the leads down a little bit. http://www.box.net/shared/svmmgcia8i I also added a clap for a fuller snare sound.
