Good to hear. Well... I'm trying to juggle music learning and programming. On one hand... I'm trying to create a 'mix' (or, anything) that doesn't sound like a monkey slapped on the keyboard and hit 'Save' and trying to build a serious web application. Fun fun. :) Great to hear from 'ya!

  2. Howdy there! Well... as I'm not very good with the 'criticism' part, I'll give the 'feedback' part, if that's cool. The song is very catchy; I've listened to it several times in a row (and while I type this). As for any sound issues, personally, I didn't notice any. So, great job and can't wait to hear the rest!
  3. EDIT: *Nekofrog hops in.* Awesome deal. Another competition, another time. Good luck everyone!

*knock *knock Wow, almost a whole month since someone's posted a visitor message in here? :-o

How in the heck are you? :-o

  5. @neblix Oh, I remember very well - I have all of the mixes on my external hard drive and queued up on my play list -- quite amazing hearing the 'back then' and the 'later on'. Also, I disagree that you 'sucked. hardcore', but that's just my opinion. I really, really, really hope that this theme comes up in the competition; I've wanted to hear a remix of it, and Mega Man 7's Wily Station 1 ever since I played the games and listened to them... (back then)... , but I'm not sure if it, Mr. X's Castle Theme, that is, officially counts as a "Wily Castle" theme. Guess we'll see!
  6. @neblix, Prophecy, Sir_NutS, Xarnax42: Thanks for the encouraging words; I just see some of the names in here and feel like a dust speck *laughs*. Sorry for the bit of trouble. It did look like everyone already had a team and I was the only one left (and most of my friends are busy / already taken *laughs*). Edit: Only one team has two people now, and I see Nekofrog is still available, officially. That wraps things up nice and neat!
  7. DarkeSword, sorry for the bit of trouble and time adding my name and picks, but I'm going to respectfully request to back out; I just don't think my skills are quite good enough for this particular competition and everyone has a team ready to go (nice lineups, by the way!).
  8. EDIT: Hey man, didn't want to spam your message area here. :P

Just wanted to swing by and wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

  9. Well... I can put bars on the screen in LMMS and make sounds... and apply some effects so ears bleed a little less... sometimes it sounds okay-ish. So, I'm good to go, right? Well, I'll just put down these picks... 1. Burst Man 2. Dust Man 3. Junk Man 4. Drill Man 5. Time Man ...and unless something changes soon, the next 6 - 9 (?) weeks should be open. Here goes nothing: first time entering one of these and remixing *anything*.
  10. They've been awesome; it's been like a Saturday version of the Smash Bros. Dojo [off-topic: fun times back then, checking that every day], except with cool remixes. Echoing SuperiorX here, you guys rock!
  11. I've gotta admit, that one was my favorite as well; I listened to it like crazy. pixelwave, 'grats on getting where you did and the wonderful music, man. As said before, please do stick around!
  12. Hey, what's up? Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for the friend request. :)

  13. Heh... didn't know you could delete the whole post... I thought that just meant the message in the post. How 'bout that. Edit: Sorry I don't know 'ya very well, but a happy birthday to you WillRock... enjoy that 21 while it lasts.
  14. Looks like I've stepped over my bounds with one of my comments... again. Sorry about my over exaggeration, a terrible habit of mine; I did indeed flip a coin, but my decision was made before that on whom I would vote for... just wanted to see what would come of the flip. I doubt you'll believe me, but that's all it really was. Sorry that comment's disheartening to you or anyone, I didn't mean it like that. I know each vote is serious, and I make sure to listen plenty of times to each remix, regardless of "genre" or nitpicky things like that; since my primary choice is based on enjoyability, it makes my decision harder and I was like "Agh! Both remixes are so cool! Which one?", but, as you can see, a decision was made each time. Example? Main Finger vs. Chernabogue - really dug Chernabogue's creativity and Main Finger's upbeat mix - took me the whole week to decide; I don't decide spontaneously nor through petty means. To tell the truth, I flipped coins a few times before, but never did before I had already made a decision - it was just curiosity, WillRock, nothing more. Again, I'm very sorry about that comment.
  15. If I remember correctly, that's one of the reasons DarkeSword votes last: to break any potential ties. If he votes and there's a tie then, well, I guess both remixers have to resubmit their remixes in the ultimate form of a showdown: in acapella versions.
  16. Some of the voters are probably having the same trouble that I did, at least for you vs. Main Finger - sitting there listening to both songs and trying to figure out who the heck to vote for because both mixes are, in my humble opinion, very cool in their respective ways. Heck, on one hand, you integrate both themes exceptionally well and make Elec Man just sound like it was meant to be mellow - rock or no rock, doesn't matter, it's awesome. The only "disappointment" I've had with you in this competition, WillRock, is that you didn't sing about Elec Man taking the midnight train goin' anywhere. Then you have Main Finger's mix of groove; again, I hear both themes present, and something about it just really draws me to it; can't explain, sorry. So in the end, I just had to flip a coin to decide... My point is, great job to both of you - this has been the hardest decision thus far for me, and it's probably difficult for some other voters too, and thus that's where all the soon-to-be votes are. That's my guess, anyway.

(Belated) 'grats on moving to the semi-finals! Wail on that geetar, hero, for everlasting peace! :)

  18. Dang man, hats off to you and the other Proto Men in round 2. Your mix kicked absolute axe! :) That is all. :P

  19. Not trying to stray too far off topic here... But those "resets" sound just as fun as inventory... especially with multiple skus and UPC codes 'in a box' and having to account for every little variation in sales figures and staying way over normal hours and....(at least where I worked) ...anyway, just wanted to say well done everyone on the remixes (the votes were ridiculously difficult for this round). (And looking forward to when (if time allows) you can finish your mix, Starphoenix.)
  20. That sounds awesome; can't wait to hear it! :)

  21. Hey there, just wanted to drop by and say sorry that time didn't let you submit your entry for the second round; retail certainly can screw with any extra time. Hope you don't mind my asking, but were you planning to finish your remix if and when you have some extra time? :)

  22. Mr. L

Just wanted to drop by and say "oh em gee"! 'Grats on the awesomely mellow mix you sent in for the second round!

  23. ... was hoping Starphoenix would pump out some serious muzak and Enigami would cast some shade on Heat Man's bright prospects for victory... but alas. (Hmm, I guess those weren't very... punny.) Are you two still planning to finish your mix, when you get some time, that is? (Please do! )
  24. Just finished voting... Dang, Proto Men, I wanted to vote for both of you to advance in at least 3 of the matches. Got what I wanted, though (difficult decisions, that is). Great job, and thanks for the remixes.
  25. True. (Awesome Jewel Man mix you had there, by the way). Wanna say thanks to everyone for their remixes thus far and their time and also those who submitted even their works in progress - please do finish them if and when you have time; they all have some great ideas!
