In as usual! awww yeaa magfest!

This was a superb round, for once I think I came up with something solid (for a week) That contains reasonable amounts of each source.

This is exactly why music confuses me sometimes.

Poo, this works so well with my theme but its not my week D:

I personally don't see a problem with 2 week compos. I actually really enjoyed the RMwtS style compos where you could really put some time and effort into a mix. I find 2 weeks to be just long enough that its easier to come up with something relatively polished but not too long that you feel like it drags on.

Whoa thats a juicy list! I also realized I can go back and practice on some of my older work that is for the most part done already. Should be set for a while. Thanks guys!

I tried having it play the Runescape soundtrack. (Why aren't there any remixes of that?)
Thats a good question! Someone just brought up how much they liked that ost the other day.

Im having a hard time with learning to mix properly on my own mixes. My compositions skills are pretty amateur so as a result i can't efficiently learn to mix on them. As a result Im looking to find precomposed stems to practice mixing on. Does anyone know of a place that just has creative common stems or something?

Not sure how Ivan does those middle-of-the-night listening parties. They are around 2 in the morning for me... Must be holidays @ Ivan's I guess!
Time zone differences is my guess. He's in Croatia

what a triumphant tune!

Tough week but still a fun round. It seems Mattrex got lost somewhere between sigma stage one and final weapon stage.

I liked the accessibility of DS2, I saw it as an improvement over DS1.
In DS2, everything just sort of branches out in separate directions, without much coherency between them. Every level in DS2 is its own isolated rabbit hole, and to get back to the hub? Warp to Majula. Very different from DS1, and I personally prefer DS1's handling of navigation better (lots of manual shortcut rewards).
Yea, I did like the navigation of the first game more, the storytelling, while still cryptic, was a bit easier to grasp as well. In ds2 they just drop you in and fail to tell you anything for half the game, sort of like Bloodborne. That said, I found ds2 to be hard IMO, with bloodborne being the hardest, but most rewarding to play. Excited for the 3rd game though.

Hey Hoboka! i have a huge favor to ask. is there any way to bump the deadline to like, maybe midnight on the 10th? I'm leaving town for a trip from the 6th -10th, so while ill have ample free time to mix, i won't be around wifi until a good bit later than 10am on the 10th. But if you can't no worries!

Excited to hear all the entries! It was tough, Sigma really stomped me this round.

I think the highlight for me is an open-world mirrors edge sequel. I couldn't get enough of the original a this comes as great news. Overall though, it's gonna be a good year for playstation, so many good titles

Suprised nobody mentioned any Ogre Battle games. Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis, is for GBA and super good if you like any of the FFT games. Theres another one for psp called Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together, that is just as good as the GBA game, and looks better to boot.
Seconded on Heroes of might and magic, although its a bit more of a resource management game.
