Hello, Black Mage Revolution. I just heard the first version of this song and this most recent version. This is amazing! - When I typed in the words 'paper mario shadow' into the forum search, there were four threads all by you and none by anyone else. Are all these threads for the same song? - The guitar work is amazing! I don't know if it was intentional, but the start of one of the solos sounds like the 'Song of Storms' from The Legend of Zelda. I like. - About 3 minutes into the song, the guitar solo fades, then gets loud again for half a second. You may need to adjust the volume parameters there. - The first thing that came into my mind when I heard the shadow queen laugh was the face of the 'curse chests'. Awesome and haunting at the same time. - I'm a little annoyed by the fade out at the end. It felt like it could have built up into a big finish. When are you going to send this in?

I remember this song, way back when RuneScape didn't have all the anti-scamming stuff, so people could actually learn what a scam looked like in a place where it didn't really matter that all your money was swindled out of you. I finished doing all the free stuff, got bored and stopped playing, but I check in every now and then. Anyway, the song: - At 1:10 and 1:25, the (what sounds like another) violin that comes in for two seconds is flat and kills the moment. Please either change it or (preferably) take it out. - The mixing of the R&B drums and the 3/4 nature of the song was off-putting the first time I heard this. Strangely, every other time I've listened to it, it's fit perfectly, so maybe it was just the shock of something different. Quieten down the snare a little, though. - I love the piano and string instruments in this. They should not be touched at all. - The ending is just a fade. I would have liked a build-up instead, or even if you cut off the last 12.5 seconds and put the ending there. But if you like fading, then just ignore the previous sentence. I realise that MMO games are not as commonly accepted, as they're not on a console or something like that. This has to be one of my favourite songs from RuneScape...that I can remember. If you can get this through, I will be happy.

I like the feel of this ReMix. Here's my feedback: - It doesn't exactly go anywhere. Maybe some other Super Paper Mario songs can be incorporated into the piece. - The highest note that synth bass plays at the start is a bit sharp, although that is masked when many other instruments are playing. If you can, please fine tune the bass so it is, say, 1/5th of a semitone lower. - Good ending, but the marimba keeps playing after the rest of the instruments. Was that put in intentionally? - I don't have any problem with the drums: I like them the way they are now.

This is great. I had completely forgotten about this song, so I looked up the original song, and decided that this version is much better. - It would sound really good if you could say something in Egyptian, such as "تأتي الحيوانات الأليفة بلدي. أدخل وعضة الدخيل.", which literally translates to "Come, my pet. Enter and bite the intruder." They really give it that Paper Mario feel. - After the evil laugh, the synth that starts soon after feels a little out of place. Maybe you could start it off being hollow sounding, and become gradually less hollow, like a lot of synth songs do. I'm glad that you've made a Paper Mario song. I really hope that this gets accepted.

This is quite good. I really want to hear the rest. - The opera voice (or maybe it's a violin) near the start is a little bit too loud, but it reminds me of Aquaria, which I think flows really well with the feel of this song. - The instrument the plays the melody a bit past half way needs to change somehow, but I can't put my finger on it exactly, so just ignore this sentence. Thank you for making a Paper Mario song. I love this game and can't believe that there isn't an accepted ReMix for it yet. I really hope yours gets through.

In retrospect, and in hearing my friends' opinions, I realise that this sounds a bit like "Uprising" by Muse. The lyrics are meant to come in at 0:48 saying: Marching on, toward the red horizon. Marching on into the great unknown. We have come into the eastern valley To find and keep the treasure for own. the same of which is repeated at 1:19. When the ocarina is introduced at 1:35, the still unfinished lyrics say: Marching on, higher and higher. ____________________________ ____________________________ Searching for the emerald eye. These eight lines are again repeated at 2:42. The "emerald eye" is what I decided to call the large emerald at the enterance of the tower temple. I have been stuck on these two lines for ages. Thanks for the feedback. There's not really any part that I want to remove to shorten the song but I'll consider it. Also, the harpsicord at 1:40, I'm just wondering what instrument(s) would better suit to replace it?

SCRIBBLENAUTS!!! This is a mixture of a few different songs from the game. It's the first time that I've tried to make a track that intentionally sounds fake, but it gives it a R&B feel. I didn't want to send it in without getting people's opinions, because there's bound to be some imperfections that I didn't pick up on. What do you think?

I'd love to do a song from Appolo Justice. In fact, I was in the middle of polishing my version of Ema Skye's theme (with the Blue Badger's theme). However, exams are coming up for me soon, so I will be unable to start any new ReMixes until after them. If you could remind me around late November/early December, I would be happy to have a go.

I LOVE Paper Mario! I'm currently trying to put all three title songs (from all three games) together in a medley, but it's kinda hard.
