  1. Yo Darke: Could I get you to take me off my current team and add me to a new one with chthonic? We live pretty near to one another, and we've been wanting to work on something together for a little while. We thought this would be a good time. Sorry to pH & Superior X!! It's just convenient for me to team up with chthonic is all I think Rozovian is looking for a team. SNAG'EM. Ben will post his robot master picks later.
  2. Wait, this thing is tougher than Demons's's Souls? Pretty much all the gaming I do anymore is on a NES, kinda known for its difficult games, and even I called bullshit after a couple of days of Demons's's's Souls. Don't do this to yourselves...
  3. Same thing that's up with all of our stupid artist handles
  4. link (wip -- much left to be written) edit: Updated a bit. Looks like it's going to end up being collab with the artist formerly known as chthonic, so get amp'd. -- Man, it's been a while since I've posted anything in here, eh? School has been quite nasty. In lieu of studying for a major exam tomorrow, I decided to write some music because it's just been entirely too long. Here's what I came up with over the past couple or three hours. All sounds were designed from scratch except for the lead at the end I've come a long way with sound design. You'll see the difference if you compare this to any of my previous soundcloud mixes. The beginning needs quite a bit of fine-tuning and processing, but the rest is as it will remain. I'll be adding quite a bit more after the solo. Hope you like Critiques??
  5. Well, looks like this damn contest is off to a great start for both of us I bet Google raised an eyebrow at you when you searched "Which robot master lives in the CAPITAL OF SCIENCE?"
  6. CENTAUR MAN. Here I was thinking it was Yamoto Man. Regardless, "The Capital of Science" is such an awesomely stupid location.
  7. CAPITALS OF SCIENCE!!!! = name? Anyway, my robots are: 1. Flash Man 2. Spark Man 3. Elec Man 4. Magnet Man 5. Crystal Man
  8. pH & SuperiorX: name = what? My idea: The Capitals of Science. Totally retarded and remote reference to Yamoto Man's level (or was it Knight Man's?), but totally retarded enough to be our name.
  9. Why don't you just keep your stupid comments in your pocket!!?? Ohmigod, that movie...
  10. From demonspawn to hellbeast? Seriously, what infernal plane did he emerge from?
  11. One year closer to proving to all the haters that you are, in fact, immortal. Only infinity more to go!!
  12. Hah, yeaaah, I can't go to the OCR front page in class anymore. I about shit myself when the balls-over-tits girl popped up for the first time. Kinda would have been a bit of a faux pas if anyone had seen that.
  13. The beepz around 0:50 sound like the world's cutest bus honking its horn. Beep beep! ;o I loooove this mix, and it typifies PROTODOME's remixing tendencies perfectly in that it is both awesome and a Pokemon remix.
  14. Man, I love Mother music. Easily my favorite VGM. This remix captured the hyper-positive and nostalgic inspiration for the music, so it's a win in my book I wasn't a fan of the reverb or quiet percussive instrument or whatever that accompanied the opening percussive plinks. The idea was good, but the execution was a little distracting. If the attack on that effect were a little more subtle and it were more streamlined, I think it would succeed in creating a better airy sort of soundscape.
  15. Debussy. So good. Call me a pussyass, but Clair de Lune makes me melt, and it's easily my favorite piano piece to play.
  16. Chronic stress --> enhanced intracellular oxidation --> endogenous mutagenesis --> higher likelihood of developing cancer. I bet his lifestyle had quite a bit to do with his disease, but bleh, sucks he had to go out that way, and it was a 7-year-long, protracted battle with a cascade of organ failures to boot. The guy had serious balls (and vision, too, I guess) to trudge through something that debilitating to keep heading to work every day.
  17. Ohshit. My iPod is an orphan now Seriously, though, this guy enabled some major technological breakthroughs and was able to fight pancreatic cancer (!) for quite a while. Quite an impressive life.
  18. SNES cake: Press EJECT button --> reveal tiny stripper.
  19. I've got a pretty powerful computer that I built just a couple of months ago, and holding a single low note on the init patch in Massive takes me up to 10% CPU usage.
  20. Uhhhh: Counterstrike 1.6 Team Fortress 2 Super Meat Boy I don't game that much these days edit: I suppose I should have read the rest of your question. I'm an old-school gamer, through-and-through, but I feel like I've played most of the more celebrated old games on PC and the older consoles. Most -- not all -- new stuff doesn't particularly interest me. Take those two together and combine them with the fact I'm in super-grad school at the moment and you get a big, smelly shit pie --> I don't play games that much anymore. As far as PC games go, I suppose I'm most interested in complex games that only only a PC could support adequately -- 4X games & cRPGs. Else, I'll be playing a platformer of some kind on an old console.
  21. My story is pretty much the same, except I don't have much training, no one told me to use Fruity Loopz, and my story isn't all that cool. edit: But really, when did you start with all that music nonsense? And you're pretty jazzy for being classically trained
  22. I don't really like the way the chiptune accelerates in the beginning, especially around 0:23. The idea is cool, but the acceleration is very discrete. I think it'd sound better if it were more of a gradual tempo acceleration through that section rather than just playlist manipulation of the samples to speed it up. Less choppy. Bass = boners. Omission of my additions = not boners Otherwise, me rikey, and it's one of my favorite sources, hooray! finish.
