Wow after Bleck's comment last night this thread just exploded. You see, the problem with fighting games is that there is this whole "man up and quit crying about it/practice more" attitude. You will never find a Capcom, Namco or SNK fighting game where the majority of players say it sucks. Even if it really does. If you say something is unfair or whatever you will be told to "man up and quit crying about it/practice more". So what happens is you spend countless hours in training mode because other players have convinced you to convince yourself that you and not the game suck.

Explain why?

Wait a sec can Thor dash cancel? If so, I guess the fact that he walks at the speed of death become irrelevant......... That's something I don't see many people doing in this game so far. Which is weird because dash canceling is super useful in this game.

Personally I agree with Cl0ckwork. I think the thing that really separates the scrubs from the serious players in this game will be blocking and push blocking. If you slip up with blocking just once in this game yur boned. As for Thor I personally think he's one of the worst characters in the game. He has the slowest walk speed and his range is meh. Most every character can easily out maneuver him I find.

That's why I love teleporting characters. Opponent is firing away then next thing they know you're behind em'. I love it when that happens cuz you can tell the person starts to panic and sort of mashes buttons to try to get away. I think Chris Redfield has the best anti projectile game.

Every time I see a Sentinel spamming lasers I start hearing "Can't touch this" in my head.

I don't think that one video is totally game breaking either but still, Chun, C.Viper and Akuma all have infinites I'm told. I've saw the akuma one several times. I'm saying if they patch the speed at which you can spam lasers and patch the infinite combos that should level the field considerably. People will be forced to really learn the game because they'd realize their cowardly strategies aren't nearly as effective anymore. Either way, people now have yet another way to beat my already weak Phoenix

Thought I'd share .....this game is gradually devolving into the broken mess that was MvC2. It's looking like Akuma is the best character so far. First his infinite.......now this. I mean I'd say that video there would be fair considering how powerful dark phoenix is. However if done right the attack is impossible to escape Capcom. It's patch time.

Think I accidentally trolled Bleck. Akuma also has a fairly easy to do Infinite. Capcom advertised it on the official facebook page today...good job Capcom.

Sentinel, Amaterasu, Dante, Akuma, Dark Phoenix or any spam heavy character.

Yeah, I have no idea how people seem to instinctively know what direction you pressed when you hit the special button to switch out. That being said everyone this game pits me against is a damn MvC god. Always many, many ranks higher than me. So it's probably just some pro instinct..........or I'm just totally missing something.

Awesome. Morrigan is epic. If anyone wants to kick my ass, and I know there's a few people who do, just add my xbox tag. I'm not the only one who uses it though! I don't play much video games though (I hate most video games) so it's pretty much always gonna be me on mvc3. The game hasn't crashed on me anymore but I'm paranoid of playing online now.

So this reminded me of the ocean. It's a more mellow track than what I'd usually do. I had to throw in a guitar solo too. Not a shredding one but a mellow, almost bluesy thing. Tell me what you think

There we go. I was always jumping right away lol I think my favorite combo in the game so far is with Morrigan. L - M - H - S. Then do L - M - H - Shadowblade - Level 3 Super Combo in the air. Yeah, yeah simple to do I know......but it looks freakin' sweet.

She's usually too high after the first two hits. I've landed it a few times though.

Actually you did seem that way but then again. On the internet you can't read a person's tone of voice so...... I apologize for being a jackass. Anyway, I think it was "Bleck" who just mentioned switchin' up the characters. I feel your pain........I'm still stuck in the mvc2 way of just pressing the button rather than holding it down. Many times I have had my character ko'd cuz I simply pressed the button to switch. Only to get an assist.....

Never said button mashing n00bs stood a chance. Not once. Read again. This is obviously beating a dead horse. Scrolling back through this thread to a time before the game was released, most of it was character arguments. Now every, "I'm so awesome, this game the best, and if you don't worship every aspect of it, feel my wrath" tourney player is slowly coming out of the shadows to allow us to bow down to their god-like status. Those who dare question this fabled disc in even the slightest shall be punished. Show no mercy and no remorse.
