I checked out some gameplay footage of Amnesia............holy hell. I think I'll give it a shot. I'll have every light in the house on while I'll sleep (if I sleep) for the next year.

How did I manage to forget that game for a moment lol? I freakin' loved that game. I'll give this deadspace a shot too. I've heard lots of people talking about it but I don't really know much about it.

So last week, I found in the back alley by someone's garbage bin a stack of 21 playstation 2 games. All in good condition. So I took em'. Among them was Silent Hill 2. I had distant memories of the original game on ps1. So I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm sure I won't sleep for months now. I was wondering what other games will scare the $h!t out of me and what makes them scary. I've played Resident Evil 3-5 and now the first 2 Silent Hills. What else would you people recommend? Was Parasite Eve a horror game? I can't really remember.

Really? Most people seem to have forgotten the first MVC altogether. Because it's got to be the only fighting game where 80% of the cast wasn't even playable. Unless you're counting the entire Marvel Vs. series and not just the games specifically titled "Marvel Vs Capcom". 2 was an improvement over mvc1 in nearly every imaginable way except for balance. Out of the vs series for me it's either Marvel Superheroes Vs SF or Mvc3 that was the worst.

Sounding good so far.......is the guitar live or not? It sounds like it's not. If it's not, real guitar is needed. If it is real, in my opinion, the tone is bad. Other than that though I'm loving it. This whole project is really coming along. I've been working on an idea for the Silver Samurai theme. Having trouble figuring out how some parts of the song go though lol

Why was Sonic 4 so bad?

There's the problem.

When I think about it, me and capcom haven't been getting along well lately. Devil May Cry 2, SFIV (despite the fact that I used to play it religiously), MVC3 let me down......Worst of all is Resident Evil 4 and especially 5. Capcom is basically just slapping new numbers on the end of beloved series to profit from nostalgia. I want horror in Resident Evil. Not a haunted house shooting gallery. I want a street fighter game that rewards me by playing well, not by saying "You're getting your ass handed to you. Here, have an ultra combo that's twice as powerful as the super combo I'd give you if you were playing well". I want a MVC game that has a good art style and isn't rendered in such contrast that half the time I can't tell what in the hell is going on. I still wish they'd nerf the X-Factor aka "win by chip damage" mode. I guess those game weren't terrible, but I thought they didn't have $h!t on their predecessors.

Once again I'm gonna be the bastard who stirs up trouble. Street Fighter IV.

My new favorite team is Wolverine, Phoenix and Trish. I'm starting to get better with making longer combos with just one character. By bouncing the opponent off the ground, wall etc. and launching them again. I think bardicknowledge said in this thread how to launch the opponent twice with Trish but I can't remember.....I also enjoy spamming fireballs, traps and teleporting with phoenix more than ever but it makes me feel like a cheap bastard if I win that way

After the very positive response I got to a little remix of the character select theme I did, and Native Dialect's awesome remix of "On The Blackbird", I thought I'd post a topic about this game called "X-Men Children Of The Atom". I didn't see a topic for it already. Marvel Vs Capcom gets tons of attention, but this was basically the foundation for MVC!...I think. Anyone else still play this freakin' sweet game? I have fond memories of it. I got it from my Uncle for my birthday when I was a kid. It was pretty much the last I saw of him before he abandoned the family. I'm still crap at this game lol. It always seemed to be pretty hard in comparison to some of the other fighters of the time. But it's music just kicked ass.

I recently (today) got an email from a small software/video game company asking how much I would charge them per minute of music. Truth is, I honestly have no idea what is a reasonable price. I realize this is probably a difficult question to answer, but I was hoping someone who's done music for such companies would be able to help me out with this.

Guitars are live. I play them lol. Like I said I was going to do a pickslide or something for the intro, drum intro is in the original and you said the mix is so far too close, so I'm still working on that. Yeah the drums. I'm trying to find drum samples that would really work for rock music as all the drummers I know personally are crap lol. bass is just a synth. The idea for the arrangement sounds like a sweet idea actually. For the breakdown section.......could be a more ballad type interpretation of Gambit's theme? Damn, there's actually probably a lot I could do with this lol

Thanks! I was also planning on throwing in a bit of Gambit's Theme from X VS Sf actually. I think that using cartoon themes is against OCR guidelines though. Sad if that is true because I thought of using that in a bit of a solo. Actually.....even if it's against OCR guidelines nothing says it has to be submitted. I could make this like the ultimate X-Men guitar medley song lol

So Native Dialect's remix of "On the blackbird" inspired me to make a remix of a COTA song myself. This game was a fond memory of my childhood. This clip is about 1:28 long so far. I have it up to about 4 minutes including sections where I'll do some solos etc. but I figure there's not much point in uploading all that just yet. So what do you think so far? What should I do to make it not crap? Is it even worth the effort of getting it sub-worthy? Turn it to 11 Oh, note the silence at the start, I plan to do a pickslide intro there.
