Remember when the gamecube hit its stride they were shouting about the 'Big Three' games: Mario, Zelda Metroid. Ignoring Pikmin as its a year late, Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong... Only the Mario is a sequel to a handhold thats a sidestep from the Galaxy-like game everyone wants, Zeldas a remake and DCR looks good but its not Metroid Prime... It looks okay but... Alone its not as strong.

Its a fair point but remember they still are a 'very' small company comparitively. I thought on the wiis last few years they did very well supporting new IPs from outsorced companies (Xenoblade, last story and Pandora all excellent new IPs that as i understand it Nintendo at least partially owns.) My only big dissapointment on current announcements is Retro doing Donkey Kong. Everything else pretty much as i expected within variations. Is it enough? Not alone, there does need to be much more beyond this but its an improvement on the last dismal year.

FFXII is my favourite RPG on the PS2. Xenoblade was my favourite on the Wii. Go figure. I think the reason it has more critical acclaim amongst fans (remember though that FF12 got 10/10 from Famitsu when it launched, it was LOVED. It's just it launched RIGHT before the PS3 launched so it was made outdated VERY quickly) is that FF12 is compared to other FF games and some people regard it as... well, not doing what they wanted it to do. It might do a LOT of things right but it doesn't do some core FF things very well. Xenoblade on the other hand draws no comparisons, people go in not knowing what to accept and generall either like/dislike it on its own terms.

Remember when everyone was excited about skyward sword, but then at E3 they showed the Wii U Zelda tech demo... Sure, I was still hyped for Skyward Sword, but you got the sense bigger and better things were on the horizon. I'm not surprised they didn't usurp Wind Waker HD in the same way. We may or may not see Zelda U before the end of the year, but to expect to see it before WW is out seems a little churlish to me. After all, not long to wait

We now have six finished tracks And I've come back from holiday feeling refreshed and ready to wrap this thing up. Could everyone please check in with me, either with a finished wav (not mp3) ready or a rough date they will be able to get it in by. wavs should not be mastered, Argle's agreed to help with that, but please limit peak decibels to ensure there is no clipping. If every track being worked on at the moment holds and they remain the same length as the WIP I have the album will be 59 minutes 58 seconds long. Please, don't let me down, that'd be perfect And one final call, if anyone out there was thinking of doing a Wind Waker themed remix on pretty much any song and thinks they can do a quick turnaround get in touch. Our current track list is on the first post and though we're winding this up I'm always on the lookout for something that will make this perfect P.S. Looks like HoboKa's dropped Molgera. I have his WIP if anyone wants to try and soup it up and wants a crack let me know, or alternatively start fresh for yourself. As things stand right now that and Hero of the Wind are the only tracks that would make this album complete

It looks like we're also down the 'Inside the Pirate Ship' remix, which is a shame because that is a very important Wind Waker track I'm going to set about searching for a replacement in the near future but if anyone is interested shout out now!

G-Mixer - I'm sorry to hear that, I'll have something to announce about this track hopefully in next 2 days. Everyone else: Bit of news! I'm going to be off to Turkey come May 31st and away for over a week. As far as I'm concerned there's no point having a deadline when I wont be able to receive tracks so I'm moving it to JUNE 10th. It's an awesome SF ambient 'woah' mix. Been curious for a while actually what OC Remix's status was regarding including sound clips in songs. There's a few in this and I'm curious where they're from.

When I was very young the 'first' time I went into Sandopolis Zone Act 2... It got dark, I didn't know about the light switches. I died... I died very quickly. I turned off the console, walked away, and didn't dare touch the controller for at least a week. I was terrified by what had happened. When I eventually dared come back I found the light switches and I remember having such a rush, desperate to ensure that it NEVER got REMOTELY dark. Ever. Of course after a few playthroughs I know how to do it, where the switches are and not to panic, but that first time... urghhh...

I'm now expecting the CDs arrive in the post along with a letter from DJP announcing Zircon will never work with this site again as commercial interests have forever driven a wedge between any future collaboration EDIT: Only just discovered now that Olzen's left... Following Roy Khan leaving Kamelot last year that's 2 of my favorite bands down a singer (haven't heard the new album yet). On the flip side Avantasia just released something and I completely missed that until ten seconds ago.

It's May everybody I have received two final, complete, utterly finished tracks so far which in addition to the one I am happy with from myself brings our wav count currently up to 3.
