Haha, believe it or not, I was pretty much feeling the same, writing solo stuff for an album (just put up 3 new tracks on SoundCloud, if anyone wants a listen! /bump), OCR album projects, you get the idea... And besides, can't be upset about losing to a worthy opponent with a groovy mix. I hope we may meet again on the battlefield in the near future... Let's do this thing, Amph. No idea what I'll do with my mix yet, and I won't get to start for a bit (drumline goes literally all weekend...), but whatever I cook up, I hope you're ready for it

Oopsie, sorry to disappoint, all; things've been kidna hairy time-wise lately, what with starting a new job + Sonic compo + prior commitments + original stuff and all. Shoulda said something about "D'oh, can't do it" but I figured my picks wouldn't keep anyone else from covering whatever they wanted. Thanks Rexy Still getting settled in, as it HAS only been one year for me. But I don't intend to ever stop learning!

Haha, a lot of the sub-genres of electronic are lost to me. I just call it "electronic" and move on, as far as labeling my stuff goes. Unless it's like, blatant wub or chippy, then I roll out my dubstep and chiptune genre labels. Either way, pretty nice track. I'd say the snare is a bit loud. Maybe not even loud, just harsh in the higher freqs. Check the EQing. Might be cool to add in some backing arps and some (possibly subtle) gating on that backing pad to switch things up rhythmically. What synths are you using? And are you doing your own synthesis or using preset patches?

Hey, thanks man! I'm glad you dug it. I agree about some of the Hill Top, particularly the segment right after the bridge between the first vocal section and the next part. And.. I don't THINK the vocals are sampled from that. If it is, Xarnax has some explaining to do Glad you dug it though dude! Also, let's get some more reviews goin' on. Thanks to Rex for being the first this round, I'm planning on doing some also once I listen through the mixes a bit more, but the main thing is that feedback is great for improvement

Haha, thanks Txai, but Meteo's point was kinda why I created the thread. You're probably right as far as recruiting vs. money. At least I know what my next sound library will be
