all the sounds in this could change. Also, I didn't find out until after I had started that the track is in 5/4 (and 4/4, and 6/4 0_o) so it might not sound much like the original. I like some of the ideas, I don't know if I like the source. I'm just... mad at this mix and not sure what to make of it.

Dat be fine. I did wonder I doe seem to be a very common name.
Oh well, nice to see you.

For the record, I still picked the worst track ever to do this in
why do people make songs that randomly shuffle back and forth from 4/4 to 5/4 to 6/4? :raaage:

haha yeah... kinda went into a comatose state after that round and forgot about the whole thing for a while... lol
I have yet to read it, but I can say that I was using DSK brass. Maybe the problem is me and not the vst

Hey Mirbztastic
Do you mind if I do my song as a straight-up hip hop/rap track? I've been experimenting with that lately, and just wanted to check.
-
Hey Nutz,
Do you still have that collection of VSTs for Synth1 that you made? I'd really like to get my hands on it.

I have that one, The Otherly Opus, Tick Tock Treasury, Hello Mannequin, and My Grandfather, the Cubist. His first stuff does feel kinda uninspired (except The North Sea, that's a cool song), he seemed to start experimenting around the time of Tick Tock Treasury. He does have a lot of really cool songs though, I especially like the stuff of My Grandfather, the Cubist. I haven't tried his new album yet

I have The Art And Craft of Popular Music too, as well as Favorites at Play (his cover album). His new album, Dwarf Mountain Alphabet, was released independently tho, you can find it at http://joyelectric.bandcamp.com/album/dwarf-mountain-alphabet it sounds very 80s

I just read your question from March on the Concrete Man Album thread, and I might be interested, if you still care. at all. this one: http://ocremix.org/forums/showpost.php?p=846621&postcount=174

I just voted for the mix I thought was better. My mix was poorly mastered, and yours was better. Unless you really think mine was better (lol that's a funneh thought) you can vote for yourself

I think with some production the DSK thing can sound okay, but I'm certainly not skilled enough for it. so this round its industrial hip hop with about as much effort put in as cold poptarts for breakfast
I will try to listen to those, and I shall give you my unadulterated opinion lol

I'll have a nice bones wip of the base of the track soon hopefully, with all the basic instruments and samples that I'll improve in later wips
will be in a little later
EDIT: I hope that tomorrow morning isn't too late
cuz my head hurts and I should sleep
pologies

Isn't it glorious that I said "I'll get it to you in a couple days" and then this becomes the most INSANELY BUSY WEEK OF THE MONTH >.
I shalt not blame you if you kick me out, but I'm still willing to give it a shot when my life cools down (yes i should have done it earlier iknowiknow). I'm finally starting to get some ideas for it too soooo yeah.
sorry
