  1. I would, but my recording software's up the fritz. Add on top the fact that I haven't voice acted in a while, and the only voices I've been doing recently have been an impersonation of Monkey D. Luffy and Deadpool because of costumes I have, and eh, you can see where I'm going with this.
  2. I STILL say that Fennekin is going to be Fire/Psychic. And besides, even if it's another frakking Fire/Fighting type, it CAN'T be worse than Emboar...can it?
  3. Not at all - as a person who dabbles in sprite editing, this has me almost tearing my hair out.
  4. Soon after the announcement, I was on Facebook, with the Pokemon Melbourne group. We've got a theory for each of the secondary typings for each starter, due to the second move that each one uses. Chespin uses a move that resembles Night Slash, although the animation also resembles the BW2 animation for Aerial Ace at the same time. As such, the current prediction is a new Grass/Dark type, although the idea of Grass/Flying would also be great. As you guys have said, Fennekin uses a Psychic type move (I think it was Confusion, might have been something else though), so everyone's thinking Fire/Psychic. Unless Game Freak wants to change their name to Trollfreak, they won't do another Fire/Fighting starter. Froakie uses a move that resembles Close Combat. Again, could be a Water-elemental version of Poison Jab or Flare Blitz, but I doubt it. As such, the Pokemon Melbourne guys have it placed as the Fighting type of the starters, with Water/Fighting. Notice the reverse triad here? Dark > Psychic > Fighting. Grass < Fire < Water. My friend and I were working on a fan Pokemon universe, and we had two of them swapped, but other than that, it was the same sort of thing. Now, the legendaries, the bird-thing looks like a Dark/Flying or Dark/Dragon type to me, while the deer NOBODY knows. It looks like the lovechild of Dialga, Virision and Cobalion.
  5. I love the song. I love it so much, I was considering figuring it out for an acoustic cover (-100 internets, but what can I say, it's not the first OCR track I've wanted to cover, and the creator of the first knows who he is, I was asking about chords via Facebook). And then I got...well, I think it's in F# minor. This is a problem - I have trouble playing chords in F# minor, and this song hits me where it hurts at the moment, because this is exactly the circumstance I'm currently in, having finished high school and had a massive fight with the girl I had a crush on, one of my best female friends. It fits the advice everyone has given me - one day I'll learn to move on, but until then, I'll be hearing this song and thinking of her. Hence why I wanted to learn it, I wrote an original song about how the way she treats me makes me feel (at the time she was ignoring me) roughly two years ago, and if I could get this song down, then I'd be able to have the two sides of the coin - the crush, then the results of trying to act on it.
  6. Up to Elesa, with two things that shouldn't be in the game yet on there - a Dream World Barboach I downloaded, and a Combusken I traded from White as a lvl 1 Torchic after beating Cheren. Man, Combusken and Magnemite own pretty much everything I face... Friend code: 2752 8974 6529
  7. I'm defiantly interested, nearly finished high school (month of exams left), so I have more time to experiment and mix... although I might prefer to collab, I really don't know what I'm doing on ProTools 8.
  8. I STILL play MS every now and then, when I'm not creeping on forums or running a website or (as is more common) playing music or other video games. Forget homework, don't bother with it. This song brings back memories...which makes me wish I had bothered putting MapleStory on my new computer. EDIT: Oh, wait. I just remembered. I WANTED TO BE THE FIRST REMIXER OF THIS GAME! I'd describe my style sorta like Level 99s (but currently nowhere near as refined), and I found the PERFECT base track while playing. Ah well, I didn't want to have to accept second, but meh, I concede defeat.
  9. ...As my title hints....I'm in Australia, and it comes out Thursday. I'm a semi-competitive battler, but I more often breed random junk. If anyone wants anything bred, I'll give it a shot.
  10. Hmm...I feel like requesting something new, something fresh. Something with only two remixes to it's name. How about...Metal Gear Solid 4? I'm looking at a track not yet covered, so any style, as long as it's done. The track? Infinite Loop. Source:
  11. Oh, hell no. I am NOT...ok...I am. I am requesting a soul cover of IceCap. Being soul, I feel it should have lyrics. Why? Because I am uncertain myself, I was thinking that today at school while listening to IceCap. "Hmm...I wonder what this would sound like if it was done in Soul....OOH, BGC MIX!" - my brain, as soon as the IceCap mix I was listening to finished. So, yeah. Source: ...I guess you want a link, huh? I don't think you really need it... oh, fine.
  12. Pop-Punk remix of Hydrocity Zone. Not much I can say, vocals optional, and yeah. Too tired to be specific. Source:
  13. Yes and no, those versions only sorta count. They were on the soundtrack as a separate track, a vocal version called "His World". I was more looking for another instrumental remix, mostly because I personally view the two versions as different, due to the altered instrumentation (Solaris Phase 2 has more instruments filling out the song, while His World is mostly the band, with the strings in more of a backing role).
  14. Yes, Sonic 3 Special Stage. It lends itself towards Electropop so well...although due to that, there's not enough of a challenge for any remixers. Add in vocals, then. NOW it's a challenge. Anyone willing to try? Source:
  15. ...let's face it. This song is one we want to see covered in a number of styles, period. We need more Wicked Child remixes!
  16. ...PLOT TWIST! DUN DUN DUNN!!! Oh, and blue guy is alive. I just wanna know who he is.
  17. Eh, I started playing piano back when I was five, so around '99. Always had my heart set on guitar, but my parents left me with piano lessons for about five-six years, over a variety of teachers, until I finished primary school. It was mostly the standard classical blather, and I wasn't interested. However, I was a bit of a singer and lyricist, with a keen ear, and although my singing skills were alright, they weren't up to scratch. Come 2007, and I got my first guitar. Man, was it awesome for me. I learned fast, faster than my teacher expected. However, looking back, while he was decent as a teacher, I wasn't that good a student. I've been learning guitar ever since, although there was half a year where I didn't have lessons. In the same time, I've had about...oh, I don't know, three month's vocal tuition. Even so, I taught myself to play and sing, and from there, I've gotten into playing and singing almost by ear. I say almost because I still look up chord sheets for more contemporary things, and the chords are reasonably basic still, but I'm improving. In the last three years, I've gotten a new guitar teacher, written a song (completely), had said song recorded, using my trusty second guitar (first one died when the head fell off...long story), and then had the song used in a video/YouTube documentary (I can give links, it includes a little of me performing), and included in the attached free album. I'm still in the level of looking at chord sheets and doing covers, but VG remixing is growing closer by the day, I can feel it. Oh, and I'm decent at improv, given a few small pointers.
  18. Haha, depending on when/if it goes ahead, I can sing (somewhat), plus I play some guitar/bass, and a violin which hasn't seen the light of day in at least a year when my sister stopped playing... Yeah, better I just stick to voice and guitar if it does go ahead.
  19. Oh, I know. But, alongside the JagerMech (not yet in the Beta, I know that much), it's one of the two good long-range mechs, barring the Cat. with it's LRMs.
  20. New request time! Yes, yes. I know nobody really looks at mine, because they are pretty stupid ideas. I concur. But I still make 'em, because who knows, maybe someone will see the point. Now, here's my suggestion... Castlevania 1, Wicked Child. Now, the style? Rock. Celtic rock, folk rock, country rock, blues-rock, Boulder, I don't really care. Yes, I've heard the metal mixes of this song on here, but I wanna hear some rock. Source:
  21. Haha, I've been on the bandwagon for this for...well, since they announced it. My cousin and I are both awaiting this, and both awaiting the Clan Invasion. (Hell, we're both Clanners by trade and data in MW2, now that we play that from time to time). I love the look. Not a Founder, so I'm not in beta, and can't give anything away, aside for the fact that the devs. are awesome, the art style awesome, and that there's rumors that there is old, legally-banned designs being resurrected, if Harmony Gold could actually do something better with their time. Plus, a mech called an Awesome. How can you not love an Awesome with an awesome pilot?
  22. Alright, next request! I'm thinking...Launch Base Zone: Act 1 from Sonic 3. Because it's been covered plenty already, I'm leaning more towards an alternative rock/funk rock/pop rock sort of style, either with or without lyrics (what can I say, I'm a sucker for a good vocal mix.) 23. SuperiorX already announced that the SZRB is going to be a recurring project, so there'll likely be another one next year. Considering the amount of stuff available for Sonic to be remixed, it's a good idea. I wouldn't expect your requests to go ahead, though. A few of mine have, and that was because someone had already done it elsewhere and simply guided me through to it.
  24. Ahem. Well, alrighty then, seeing as my Azure Lake request was already complete before I even made it (THANK YOU DusK!), I've got three more intriguing ones. First, one that isn't on OCR. At all. Only one other song from it's game has been covered, and that was awesome. All the songs on the OST are epic, but forgotten in the gunk of glitches and ideas. That's right, I'm talking about Sonic the Hedgehog from 2006. Specifically, the awesome final boss track. Since it hasn't been covered, on here at least, I'm asking for any ol' style. Source: Ok, next, if you haven't heard of this track, you aren't a Sonic fan. Yes, this is Green Hill Zone. Now, my reason for requesting THIS track, of all tracks, is simple. I found a version with lyrics...which was a guy singing (and rapping), over the Sonic Generations remix of the song, or possibly a MIDI-rip of it. Blarg. What I WANT to see is an OCR vocal take. Again, like Solaris Phase II, I doubt anyone is actually going to do it, but it's good to dream. And yes, before anyone asks, I have already downloaded all of the Sonic Zone tracks. I still feel it was a shame Gario lost TBH. Source: Finally, there's Launch Base Zone from Sonic 3. Basically, I'm thinking either a pop-punk, pop-rock, or pure punk style MIGHT sound good with this track, again, with or without vocals (unlike either of the other two, one with vox, the other, without to fit with the song. If I wanted "His World", then I'd ask for that version of the song. Ahem, back on track, I'm just interested to hear what you guys could come up with within one of those styles. Source: Thanks in advance!
  25. ...Well, I didn't think it had been done. I honestly didn't think it had. Wow, DusK, you are AWESOME!!!
