  1. Of course! The more, the merrier. Is it finished? I'd love to here a sample if you had one.
  2. Tuberz, great to hear. Any samples? XPRT, which track would you be interested in?
  3. Hi Everyone! Just letting everyone know that we still need Rappers, Singers, Writers, and Beat makers. Every track doesn't need to have lyrics; no need to put them on songs if it brings the song down, right? I've heard WIPs for three songs now, and they're all great. We can set a better WIP date once we have more songs claimed. The front post has also been updated.
  4. Sounds great, the interest is pretty nice right now. I'll put Sir Jordanius down for Knuckle's Theme, and The Joker down for the Ice Cap tune. Also, I'll put DCT down too. Maybe you two want to collaborate, or something? We can figure that out. I'll put DCT down for "Act 2" for organization purposes. But, a collaborated track may work out nice; I don't know how you two work. If anyone wants to collaborate on any of the tracks, that should be fine. It's really up to the remixers we have so far. If you have any WIPs they'd be great to have so that myself and other vocalists can start working on vocals to add.
  5. Sir Jordanius, A reggaeton mix seems like it would be quite cool. Want me to put you down for that, or do you want to find someone to collab with, or was that just a suggestion? Tuberz McGee, Sounds promising! Can't wait to hear what you two come up with.
  6. We can just do what makes you comfortable, you can rap if you like, or sing...doesn't matter to me, I'm not picky. As far as WIP dates...I'd like to get a good bit of tracks claimed. But, how does that process work as far as setting those dates? (I've already been shown some WIPs for different tracks though, and they're good) Haha, you like a lot of tracks! That's good to see. Um, we can throw that in, but would it be better to thrown onto the bonus tracks list?
  7. Sounds great. I had some different ideas for things. I'll put you down for Mystic Cave and Aquarium Park. Do you want to collaborate with anyone as far as the instrumental itself goes? Edit: Lyrics don't have to be on every track. It should go by if the lyrics improve the track. Never mind this, Edit Out: (Also, the initial plan was for me to rap at least a little bit on each track. And while I'd like to still do that (the practice would be great!), I'm not 100% sure if I could muster that many lyrics out. I'm definitely going to try, even if it's just a small intro or something on each track.) So, we do need to find rappers still. You sing, do you write as well?
  8. Yeah, I'll put you down for production on the Chemical Plant track. I can put you down for Mushroom Hill and Hidden Palace too if you'd like? Also, that Chaotix song is pretty legit. It is kind of outside of the scope of the project, but I think we can shimmy it in somewhere. Maybe as an interlude or something? (It also seems to have a few parts that sound like Labyrinth Zone, oddly enough) Suggestions are completely welcome! I contemplated putting that on the tracklist, but just never did. The track list seemed kind of long, but we could always break it down into "disks" or something, or work with it. True, no one's lyrics in this project will ever touch that haha. But yeah, your skills are definitely welcome. Lucky thing is, we can use rock sounding guitar (or even country?) to mix in with hip-hop beats and lyrics to get the desired effect. What kind of sound do you shoot for? Also, any tracks that you have in mind? Thanks everyone, things seems to be shaping up really well.
  9. Well, this sounds great. Is there a song (or songs) either of you want to collaborate on, or claim in general?
  10. More people can be too! Just gotta get them interested! @DiGi Valentine, Yeah, that would work. My goal originally was for me to add at least one verse to each song and then get other people to add verses and vocals too. Do you know anyone that might have an instrumental in the works?
  11. I was just curious, because I'm trying to work on music or a game that I have in mind. Would you be able to critique or make suggestions to some of the stuff I've done?
  12. Hey everyone, Just bumping the topic up a little bit to let everyone know there's still interest in the project! Hopefully we can find some more to keep the idea going! Also, I've decided through some useful advice, to not try as much to push the album in a story-driven direction. if the songs allude to the games that's fine, but it's best not to push it. This will be useful for people arranging the songs and for people looking to be help with lyrics.
  13. Gave it a quick listen...I have to say it's pretty fun to listen to.
  14. Also, if anyone wants vocals such as rapping, shouts, or just other spoken word, I'm willing to contribute on that as well.
  15. Wait, I was just asking if either of those counted as Game Over themes
  16. I'm in for it! If only just to get experience haha. I can add male spoken word and rap vocals if anyone needs them. I also know how to "rearrange" and add stuff in FL, if someone wants to collaborate on a piece. My most well known are the Sonic games (as always haha), but I also like the Mega Man series' themes, or the Streets of Rage 2 theme. Heck, I guess even Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has a "rematch" theme...AND the one if you lose to Galactus. That counts right? (I'm just saying this are ones I like, if someone wants to collaborate on them. I'm not a fantastic arranger just yet)
  17. Sounds really nice. Do you still work on projects for games?
  18. I've seen that site! Been a fan for a long time. So I can basically go there, load the midi file, and then rework it? Is that considered poor taste?
  19. So yeah, I need work on arranging. I feel that I'm pretty good with the program, and have a decent ear for what sounds good. However, I don't have the ear or skill to actually put the original "notes" in to actually rearrange it. What I mean is that I feel I could remix a song, but not actual build the original to be rearranged. I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out in that regard. Possibly provide tips, or a FL file with some chords to practice arranging, or something like that. Any kind of help would really be appreciated, thanks.
  20. Oh, on another note: I don't know how these remix projects work, but, I have a friend who may be interested in this project who isn't a member...is it alright if I recruit his help?
