  1. Okay this bothered a bit too muchso i will answer right away. Why, in the love of everything that is sane, a remix requires a key change. This has bothered me long enough. I already made some changes to the original progression (Changing minor to major chords, change of harmony etc). This, itself is a chillout (Future Garage, Chillstep etc, name it how you want) mix. I don't feel, at all, that a key change is needed in the middle of the theme. The main motif is so short that adding any structural change of tit's harmony, will result in a completely different thing. IMO the main progression is perfect as it is and i wouldn't change it for anything in the world. There are different notes, they star adding up for a buildup. And yes, it's layered, i would like you to point out how is not layered.
  2. Absolutely, any feedback is appreciated!! You mean the intro?? I kinda wanted to be like that at the beginning to have a decent build up and "drop" at 0:43 And i think i know what you mean for hot, i will look into it. And yeah i messed up the export, i left it as "Cut Remainder" hahaha i will upload a fixed Mp3 later. Thanks!
  3. Name of the Arrangement: Menu 1 Original Game: SSB Melee Source: Link to Arrangement: Yesterday i tried to arrange this piece with a guitar and a recorder. Failed miserably at it, so i ended doing this. I hope you enjoy it.
  4. Game: Chrono Trigger Original Track: Corridors of Time Link to Remix: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/628213 A couple of days ago i was messing with my guitar, and found an interesting chord progression that i liked. I then randomly noticed that with some adjustments i could make Corridors of Time work in that chord progression, so i made this arrangement. What do you think?
  5. O no don't worry!!! Any feedback is good feedback, and i can totally see what are you trying to point at. The second section feels messy because, deep down i wanted it to be mesier and less mechanical and strict than the original. As you said, the song is a typical Call/Response example, but in the i just wanted to evoke a "Call" only, not a dialogue because in the end, it's a goodbye. The flutes are basically an improvisation of the D-E-G-F# motif that the piano was doing in the prev section, but in the new scale of the guitar (In the first section, the guitar was doing a Dsus2 -Asus2 - CMaj7, and in the chorus, F - CMaj7 - D5 progresion. Section 2 is a an improvistaion of open C chords combined with weird variations lol), so basically flutes are doing something between the lines of, D-E-A-G (A reharmonization of the original motif, going from D major to a a C scale that i am still not able to determine LOL). In the end, i think i will keep this "messy" part because for me it feels correct, in the end is a Farewell, and Call/Response doesn't represent well a goodbye after it happened, only when is happening. I can definitely see what are you pointing at glueing everything together, and i will try to fix this because you are right about that. I was thinking about bringing the piano in section b but i didn't want to clutter it even more. I will think of something though And i use a Samson C01u mic, nothing fancy, i denoise the sample, double track it, compress it a bit (a +2db gain, nothing noticeable) and mess with reeverb.
  6. Hey i enjoyed this, i think i am going to put in my Project:M Build :3 One detail though, this is not Post Rock/Metal at all, this is what post rock sounds like:
  7. Thomas Newman is one of my favourite composers and certainly he has been an inspiration to me, thanks !!! )Also, American Beauty is one of my favourite movies ever hahaha)
  8. I have never played Skyward Sword in my life, but i think Fi's Theme is the most beautiful piece ever made for this saga. So i felt like making a remix of it: Source: Fi's Farewell - Game: The Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword Link to Remix: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93823550/%5BFinished%5D%20Goodbye%20Fi.mp3 For the first time in my life i tried to be not conservative with a remix (Well, the first half is still conservative), but the the second half is basically my own take on the motif. I hope you enjoy it.
  9. (Weeena man jajajaja Cuando lo termine te lo muestro jajaaja) Uhm so yeah, great arrangementent!! hahahaha
  10. Another fellow Chilean, pretty nice arrangement, you even gave me a couple of ideas for an Swyward Sword mix i am working on ^^
  11. I am still stuck with conservative arrangements, i am not good at reharmonizing songs that sounds good to my ears, but well, either way, i liked the sound of this, i hope you like it
  12. Hahaha so i have the sound, and just need to make this less conservative and my own variation right?? I think i can make it work
  13. I think i have a great idea. Would some vocals spice this up haha? (Female)
  14. I think this game was one of the first ones that made impact on me so i felt like making a cover of A Wish, my favourite track from the game. Any feedback is greatly appreciated (I know is in youtube but any feedback that can help me make this OCR worthy would be good, i am willing to heavily change it in order to achieve that heh)
  15. Damn Gario you killed the topic :c (jk btw hahaha)
  16. Much better, i would soften the pianoa bit more but that's just a personal call hahahaha it sounds much nicer now. I would also boost the bass a bit in the solo, but heh, it's pretty solid as it stands, good job :3
  17. Yeah, the intro arpegy is the only metronomed one, the rest of the track is mostly an improvisation with the chords. The problem i have with FL studio's metronome is that is too distracting, i often get lost with it :ccc
