Hey, I got your email. I was already planning to do a Metroid Fusion mix, so this works into my favor big time, and perhaps yours tew. The song from Fusion I was going to do is . This is probably off topic but on the topic of not so known video game music, I'd like to see more OCR albums that cover these soundtracks. I love all these popular games that are getting albums as much as any other person, but think if you like unknown games / music, then some homage should be paid... thanks for lissenin' to my PSA

This is a song that came to mind. I believe a few second source that is only 3 or 4 chords would work fine for a song like this. I was actually planning something like that my own self. You'd think a few second source would be easier for the jooj's to hear, rather than learning a full length source. Don't know why it should be considered a "source of annoyment" or frowned upon. Yeah, it'd have vocals, and an additional lead melody or two, but apart from that there's really not a lot going on in a song like this. Some drum changes and stuff. Anyway I'm pretty sure I'm gonna make a song like this from a short source so I'll let you know how it goes

I also get the impression that it could be either a chemistry (scientific) world or a lame card game..

"popular music" is usually built off of a structure of 3 or 4 chords that repeat throughout an entire 3 minute song. I don't see why you couldn't remix this.

Coldseed, haha... such a funny name. I probably would snatch that up too at first, just due to the name.. That block thing was supposed to be a creeper but I fail at block-based drawing. I forgot about those stickers.. There's actually a really cool story behind those. I ordered CDs once I believe from The End Records, and I wrote as an added note "Please send me some promotional stickers" and they sent about 100 of those identical stickers. I thought, surely they'd send various ones for many different bands. But nope. And the heavily used pick... I had new ones here, but I thought it may be more special to give you one that has been used on most of my songs up until now. It takes a while to file down the tips of new picks. I know it's probably no consolation for you but I really enjoyed the books and read them, and decided to share them in the spirit of giving & Christmas with D-Lux. I also re-used the box you shipped your stuff in... So it's almost like Steven gets extras + a set of our fingerprints.
