  1. I seriously need to play Chrono Cross already... So I'll start with this song.
  2. Haha, thanks for giving the feedback though. Even "questionable" feedback can help an artist get introspective to improve. I think it's great that there's so many entries.
  3. Good round all! And no sweat, Hoboka, I get ya. I agree with a lot of feedback that I veered from the MnP style a bit much, so I'll focus in on that next round! I appreciate the feedback in this contest. I'm always trying to get my orchestral elements to sound more organic and full, along with improving my arrangements in general. Can't wait to see the next round!
  4. Intense, flowing, and with dynamic contrast. I enjoyed this track. Very Nice.
  5. Me and my friend Souperion are collaborating on something for this. Looking forward to this round!
  6. Awesome to join in this project, I love everyone's music. The cover art is great as always. See ya next year!
  7. Finally got mine named and submitted. Had fun with it.
  8. Congrats all around, fantastic music. Can't wait to see what TVG picks for his round. Oh, at @Dex, you asked what instruments I used. I used the Symphonic Orchestra VST from EastWest Music on PLAY.
  9. Hey, uh, technical question regarding the MnP compo... I ended up slipping a few measures of a different song into my remix. Is that kosher with the Meat n' Potatoes composition guidelines? If not, I can replace it no problem.
  10. I didn't like my first attempt at this song, so now I've scrapped it and have started with a new groove. Should have time to make it work!
  11. I need to finish a name for mine... Then I'll load it in.
  12. How is there already an entry? APZX composes like lightning!
  13. A classic, lovely Secret of Mana song. What could I possibly do to something so beloved and covered by so many OCR artists??
  14. I'd expect nothing less from you, looking forward to it! I'm making progress on my bonus entry.
  15. YEAH I'LL SEE YOU NEXT MISSION! It was a musical massage session to go through all that metroid in one place. Great work all around. And dang, TheVideoGamer, I do feel dumb now that I know what it is. I thought it sounded a little like Phendrana Drifts. Beautiful.
  16. Rundas flamethrowing Malkovich will never be not awesome.
  17. Voted. With such an assortment of songs, I had to evaluate them by overall quality and innovation to the source. Great pieces this round.
  18. I found something I liked about each variation. The first had a strong jovial vibe with that rigorous percussion and brass. The second's dreamy vocals gave a sweeping, almost cosmic feel. I assume that the third variation is around the 3:00 marker. That one sounded kinda plucky and playful. I am most impressed with the fourth one though. It has a thrilling grand sound. I enjoyed the percussion variety that accompanied the bright, almost airy strings and choral parts. I can say that in general, it all has a pretty nice sound quality, and I believe you're making impressive work. Keep it up. Also, I identify with spending a lot of money, and THEN learning how to actually make something good with it. XD Side note, I often find it helpful to include time stamps of pieces with multiple movements/variations. Then reviewers can easily navigate it!
  19. Got my entry done and in. I look forward to seeing how many metroid games get represented. Though I didn't help, by adding another Metroid Prime 3 track, haha!
  20. Bonus entry in. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's songs.
  21. I'll put my guess in my vote when the time comes. Way to keep things interesting!
  22. I'm always glad to find other people also make 7+ minute songs, haha. I enjoyed listening to this, I appreciate a little power metal on occasion. The bells around 3 minutes in got my attention, a nice break up in the song. And the harpsichord sounding section was quite unexpected and appreciated. From that point on the choir sounding chords helped flesh out some parts that could have otherwise sounded dry. I hope you'll get some more experienced feedback on this one!
  23. Wait, round 418 is going to be around christmas isn't it. I should pick a nice wintery source for the december mood.
