Gonna bow out here. I want to take this track a different direction. Good luck y'all!

After some deliberation and working through things Im 100% sure this is leaning more towards a ranger song than a bard song. Not very adventurous but i think the idea could be suitable. Plus im really early into it so there is plenty of uhh adventure to be had. Really rough in places right now but im mostly just trying to write at the moment. One thing Im thinking of adding is a final section that is reminiscent of FFVII battle editions of overworld tracks. Kinda like the temple of ancients vibe in part 2 of the remake. Anyway, source below
Gonna update this thread until the 30th when I come up with new progress -
Whoa!!! In the beginning I was like "hold up, wait a minute now!" And maaaan it just. I love how the motif and source, to the seasoned marble zone ear, is so apparent in so many different ways and yet it is very liberally spread. It's so free but super tasteful like a perfect sheen on a wooden deck or something. Love this dude, this was fantastic.

Updates on progress is certainly welcomed, yes! When I get the Discord channel sorted, that'll be much easier to achieve, but in the meantime don't hesitate to post whatever you're doing up on this forum page, by PM to me on here, DMs on Discord, OR via OCR Workshop or Collabs (I do stalk around those parts frequently enough). It will help to tell me what you're thinking of remixing, or informing me if it's an original song, so I can update the list and people won't end up doing the same sources.
When it's finished, I'd like for a PRE-MASTER to be sent to me, either as an attachment or a link to your G-Drive or Dropbox, etc. I'll probably attempt to batch master them myself. :) BUT, I do encourage putting ample time towards your work for this, making sure there's no unnecessary artifacts and workshopping the WIP with others. This isn't a closed-off, secretive affair, but at the same time, think of this like you would for AOCC or any OCR or Pixel Mixer-related albums. Similar process, just not as formal and there's no judging criteria. There is quality assurance / control, but just on a basic level. :DIf you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. Does this work for you, @H36T?
Yeah it does! Thanks for the update. Gonna get working at some point this summer

Hey dude, if you are down maybe consider joining the Halloween album collab? Just noticed this and your ghost and ghouls mix and thought you could be interested. Anyway, I like the sound of the synths you used!
-
I would also be down to help
-
Should we like keep you updated on progress or tell you what we are going to do at some point? Or is it like, once your finished just send it your way? I know we also need to get all the tracks mastered too...

First time hearing about it but after watching a video man...it's pretty awesome sounding. I don't really have a need for it so I'll be passing for now but I could definitely see myself really utilizing it if it was cheaper

For tentative interest I'd like to be put down for "As Before, We Are" from Horizon Forbidden West.

Gotta say, this has a lot of inspirational moments. You guys definitely hooked me with the beginning given my uhh tendencies for vocals haha. But what I enjoy the most is the rhythmic elements have a lot of flavor to them. They often given the ear not just new patterns, but new textures to enjoy as well. Nice track guys! Even though I've never played a Metroid game or know any of the music, this felt familiar in the best of ways.

I....may try! I'm a bit older so I'll be doing after 1999 if I contribute.

You're browsing OCR in between Inuyasha episodes, a Mama Celeste pizza is in the microwave. Jennifer Gardner is going to be Elektra in a new Marvel movie. MkVaff has released a techno mix of an NES game. The year is 2024.
I was going to say something but this....this is it lol. Great job MkVaff!

I've actually been looking forward to listening to this for a long time since I saw it in the queue. Cool take!

Incredible my man. Just a beautiful take on these two pieces.

It's always wonderful to see someone try a piano solo mix. This was really gorgeous too. The playing is great and the arrangement itself is adventurous but the essence is somehow still quite faithful to me. Makes me want a Piano Collections part 2! Thanks for sharing your vision with us.

The drop at 2:10 was built different lol. Super groovy

Even though it's before my time, glad to see old PRC mixes live on among the community. Really makes me wonder how we can continue it's legacy in a more modern way? Anyway, great job here and looking forward to your next tune!
-
Shout outs to you for your first mix! It was a pretty good one I must say. Thanks for sharing your creative vision!

I also got something in albeit an older tune. Like Hemo said, this has been such a great place for learning and I can't believe all the progress I made through this compo and mnp. Every piece I've gotten into accepted into OCR at this point has gone through either MnP or PRC. I hope in the future, we have other things for new artists that will be as influential to them as PRC has been to me. Thanks for all the hard work guys!
