Hey guys, I posted about this in community, but I might as well plug it here where it really belongs. My band, Medicine Lake, just released it's first EP! You can find it on CD Baby or iTunes. Of course, if you want to try before you buy, two of our tracks are posted on our MySpace (as well as one bonus track!). Of course, if you hate myspace (which I understand fully), you can also hear them on our BandCamp. Enjoy!

I'm not looking to spend a lot on a big hd, just because I won't be using it that much. I was hoping to stumble on a used 20gb for like, 20 bucks or something, but it just depends on what people offer me really.

I think? It's for the 360, the kind that clips to the top. Is that considered older? what are the new ones? And yeah, a 20gig would do me just fine. I'm not looking to spend a lot, because I know I won't be playing a lot.

but it's SO GOOD! actually i was toying with the idea of arranging the lavender town melody forwards, but in a manner where I could write out the whole arrangement in retrograde after, so halfway through you'd be going backwards but I don't think I'm smart enough to do that ._.

The audition last year was pretty weird, this year it was a little bit different. The biggest difference is that there is an improvisation portion to the audition--the piece has two improvisatory sections worked into it, and part of the audition was auditioning for one of those two sections. It could be any instrument at all, including singing and poetry. Well........ I'm one of 17 finalists!! I auditioned for the "rhythmic improvisation" section on vibraphone, and they picked me for the final batch! So, now for the shameless whoring: I would wholly appreciate it if you all could vote for me! It's pretty easy, just go to their page (http://www.youtube.com/symphony) and click "vote," "solo improvisation," and then "rhythmic improvisation." My video should pop up! If I win, I get to play with the group in Sydney under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas (for those of you who don't know him, he is a big name BADASS conductor). Thanks guys! Hey guys! I wanted to drop in for a quick plug: A while back, I made a post about a show I was playing with my band, Medicine Lake. A couple people actually ended up coming to see it, which was pretty sweet! Well, we have another show coming up! But this time... it's because we're releasing an EP! We've been recording all summer, and I've been flying back from Kansas to rehearse with these guys and get ready for this show! We'll be releasing our CD at the show for $6, and everyone who buys a presale ticket from us gets a dollar off the CD!
