Pokemon Trainer is the tits.

Everyone went nuts over the first cloud picture because Bowser's head wasn't all that hard to spot in the first place, and it definitely was a "evil makes it's appearence" type thing. Those other clouds... that's kinda silly. It's not an iconic moment, everything moves too fast...

What's that supposed to mean? Don't tell me you're one of those who didn't see Bowser in the clouds... But, let's say you didn't -- that's a pretty neat-o graph he has there. People like graphs.

It's been so long I actually forgot Reuben had been signed on this project...

I'm... not sure how I can survive for a whole week without the DOJO updates... oh man... ugh.

This has been a great week thus far. The new launcher minigame looks like a lot of fun to me.

For it's time, Duke Nukem 3D was pretty close to revolutionary -- or perhaps just an important benchmark if you thought it was thouroughly mediocre (I didn't!). Either way, it was the premier first person shooter. I still bet on Duke. Anyone else play the expansion where you saved the President? "Duke Nukem in D.C." or something it was called... you fought inside all the memorials, the white house, the Smithsonian, FBI headquarters, some secret underground high-tech facility, an aircraft carrier (or maybe a nuclear sub? I think both, actually.)... it was the tits!

Agreed, pester balls for the next item. Todd riding around on his Pokemon Snap buggy thing would be an awesome AT, too! As much as I love Pokemon, I'm surprised I never even thought to include stuff from Snap... I mean, I used to go to Toys R Us when I was younger JUST to play the Snap demo for hours...

I suppose the fact that they've shown "with friend" matches being chosen from a list of preset "rooms" might indicate that there are a multitude of options to tinker with before a friend code battle. Though, oddly, there wasn't any clarification in that regard, so I suppose I filled in some blanks myself subconsciously and... just assumed there was a "With Friends" update.

Am I going crazy or wasn't there a DOJO update that went over your options in the With Friends mode specifically?

Honestly, with how broken certain final smashes seem to be (Bowser at the very least) it doesn't look like money matches are going to allow them at this point unless all trends are bucked and they let certain other items not named Super Spicy Curry in. We'll see. ...

I say when the nubs get the pity final smash, you beat it out of them and use it on them! Assuming, of course, they don't use it while they're invincible (and they can hit you)

Hey guys stop picking on Atma, srsly yo. I <3 Ho-oh.

The concept of musical genres nowadays are truely meaningless once you try to move past the idea of "let's compare one band to another." Take, for instance, Boards of Canada. Hit up Wikipedia and it will tell you that they are classified as an "Intelligent Dance Music" (IDM) band, but does this really say anything about the music they make? You'd think it would imply that lots of dancing goes on, but if a lot of their music sounds I'd imagine there's not as much of that as the uninformed might postulate.Their music is slow, meandering, and sample/synth driven with lots of effecks and distortion... and the occasional drum machine or electric guitar to break up the less indulgent pieces. Obviously since they only use random sampled voices they don't belong specifically in this thread, but I thought it would help illustrate my point: classifying music is not only chaos, but also silly in a realistic sense, since so much of the criteria can be swayed by personal taste and opinion. So, yes.

Well, now that it's December... There's a thread in Smash Boards that goes something like, "every other month, Sakurai has released 3 newcomers at a time." It's such that we weren't supposed to get any newcomers in November so we'd get three this month... except we didn't even get ANY characters in November at all! The fact that they're still withholding the "unlockable veterans" from us makes me believe that any kind of pattern stopped once the delay was announced. I think IF we even get ONE character in December at all, it's going to be somebody like Cpt. Falcon or Luigi or Jigglypuff, etc. IF WE'RE LUCKY. Personally, I think Sakurai had a predetermined time table for revealing characters that he's put on hold for the extra two months that got thrown in the mix. I don't think we'll see another true newcomer until around Christmastime. The thing I don't like about friend codes, actually, is that some people don't like to bother to add random forum people (like me ). Maybe they're afraid of teh h4xX0rz?

Alanis Morissette's Ironic" used to make me hate her, too... but she really does have a lot of great songs. Remember Natalie Merchant? I love a lot of her songs, too. And since we kind of tripped into "90s alternative" mode, how can we not mention Ten Thousand Maniacs?! Love them. Cranberries, too.
