  1. WHOA it's an early update and it's a double! The stage is Rumble Falls, my little ferret.
  2. I imagine that they'll have all the characters revealed either by the Japanese or American release on the DOJO. At that point, once everything's all nice and revealed and the game's out... it'll just sit there and help n00bs out, or just end up a nice place for pictures.
  3. In the Japanese he simply does a "I-i" once like usual... I think that lithe translator guy who introduced himself at E for All as the... translator... was just mocking Sakurai a bit. "He-he-he" is so rediculous it's near unreadable.... WAIT. Now it just reads "H-he." Did they change it a minute ago or was I just in a daze when I read it the first time?
  4. One of those 22 year old kids, maybe. Seriously... peach is hot.
  5. Personally, I think the tiger skin camouflage is pretty badass. But that's just me. Dark Link, though, is probably the "coolest" alt. color scheme. I mean, everyone seems to love the idea. My favorite is probably the black dress Zelda, though! Zelda really needed a cooler color scheme than "pink and/or purple." Especially since, well, she's wearing a dress. Pink dresses are pretty tacky. It only works for Peach since she's the quintessential dumb blonde... and yet... ...so undeniably sexy!
  6. I'm a bit late, but congrats to the new judges just the same. Always good to have more people keepin' the queue goin', yadda yadda.
  7. Also: zyko <3 Can't wait 'til they post "Keep out the Veldt". I wonder if it's the same version I've heard...
  8. You're a pretty silly dude. Nintendo doesn't want to create more competition for itself... even if it's with itself. More people buying "W II" (see what I did there?) will cause a dip in Wii hardware & software sales. Even though Nintendo continues to rake in mountains of cash, their third parties once again will jump ship. Also... this is about as cool of a final smash as you can hope for with the Ice Climbers. EDIT: ZING
  9. I patiently bide my time for this reason.
  10. Thank you, Mustin. Some other hip-hop artists who are above stereotypes and are out there trying to innovate or just make decent music are: Count Bass D MF DOOM Madlib Edan Vast Aire Koushik Beastie Boys Gorillaz Cee-Lo Diverse Aloe Blacc Matisyahu MED Percee P Method Man Niko Nujabes Ozomatli Psyche Origami RJD2 The Streets Subtle And, yes, even JUSTIN TIMBRELAKE to some extent. Futuresex/Lovesounds was a fantastic album. Count Bass D is a personal hero of mine. Go look him up. Everybody else on that list is not only QUALITY but also making a conscious effort to move away from hip-hop stereotypes. Go listen to some songs by at least two people on that list (maybe not Justin, though )and then try and tell me all "rap music" is stereotypical and/or negative.
  11. Totally coming out of left field and randomly commenting on KiC! It was fantastic! As soon as I could get it onto two CDs, I popped this baby in my car stereo and rode around town with a big, stupid smile on my face. "Beneath the Surface" is still probably my favorite arrangement of Aquatic Ambience... I still listen to the album all the time. This, for me, was the first truely "epic" remix project. I still measure all site projects by how they stack up to KiC.
  12. This game is simply a delight. Everything in and out, through and backwards is positively facinating.
  13. Well, looks like we can combine Super Sudden Death with any other mode of our choice this time! Sounds awesome.
  14. The sound quality is way better once you download. I'm glad of it, too, since everything was streaming so fuzzy.
  15. Though I'd have to say that any meaningful commentary would come from multiple listens, after hearing the whole thing once I'd say it's very enjoyable. I like IDM and similar music quite a bit, but this is definitely "IDM influenced." By which I mean that it sits in some kind of interesting middle ground. Sometimes I would swear I was listening to a melody I'd heard somewhere, but that's the thing about good melodies, I think: IF they're good, you feel like you've heard something like it before, but not quite. In that regard, I'd say that your strongest point is (oddly enough for somewhat ambient music), well, crafting interesting melodies. It's a lot of fun listening to all the sounds and samples that you use to strengthen these melodies, as well... haha, I wanna say "supporting cast"... There didn't seem to be any one "wow!" high point, but that's not really a criticism (or a compliment, either). Having an album that's full of equally (or nearly so) strong material is far better than a lopsided release with a few knockout tracks, though! Unless you're a pop star, anyway. Heh. I will say that the way each song evolves is very interesting. Several songs really brought to mind the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time for whatever reason -- perhaps the "garden" motif? Perhaps it's mostly the tone or mood and the massive (...what would be a good descriptive noun for...) reverb. ANYWAY enough of my mindless rambling. I like it quite a bit! Are you looking to makea few bucks off of some of these albums, or are they just for the love ala beatdrop? I wouldn't mind donating some coinage for a copy of Garden Art. EDIT: Ah, I think I know why I keep thinking Forest Temple... I think pixietricks's "Prayer" used a similar synth lead to at least a few of the tracks here. Perhaps that's what's throwing me off... EDIT 2: Whenever I hear 7 I can't decide if it reminds me more of "Left Hand Suzuki Method" or the G.I.Joe guy in the snowsuit... "li'le wankas!" Hopefully you know what the hell I'm talking about. ALSO THIS IS FANTASTIC in case that didn't come across!
  16. That was still a quality content post you made there, Dhsu. I lol'd. However, I'd say that the Zero Punctuation guy is infinitely more whitty and charming.
  17. Hi there, OverCoat! I remember you well. If the first few "Gardens" are a testament to the quality and scope of the rest of the album, then I'd wager that I would be very pleased to offer you my input. Right now, though, I'm just listening to that with my headphones on, though. I'll get back to you in a little while~ Haha! The Second Garden is pretty sexy
  18. So... who is manlier? Snake... or Captain Falcon? edit: PAWNCH!!
  19. Can anyone tell me what theme he remixed, though? The song's amazing, but I certainly don't hear anything particularly recognizable. I'm not complaining, however!
  20. This is excellant. That point at 3'00", right when that synth bass creeps back over the string jabs... oh man. I fell in love. The whole thing feels alive. It's always shifting and it's never repetitive or boring. The subliminal voice sample also add a lot of (lol) subtle depth. I'm gonna be listening to this one for a while... I wish it were about three times as long, cause that was about the quickest 4 minutes I've blown through in quite a while! Here's hoping we hear more from Radiowar!
  21. So long as they use a Vampire Killer whip, who cares?
  22. Even so, it's hard for me to believe that the "big three" characters of the Kirby franchise are going to be available from the VERY start. I mean, maybe a franchise having an unlockable character isn't seen as a kind of badge of honor like I thought, but even so... EDIT: Gah, okay, nevermind! Mario / Peach / Bowser Pikachu / Squirtle / Ivysaur / Charizard Kirby / Meta Knight / King Dedede all as starters seems both fair and sane.
  23. If we don't get Norfair this week, then I expect something that has to do with F-Zero, definitely. Falcon or a stage, whichever, but mark my words... I'd feel hurt if Sonic's stage got revealed and they saved the F-Zero stage for "last" among the revealed characters.
  24. I'm one of the ones who tried it but just got bored after about stock number 60 or so... About IGN telling us to expect more than three 3rd party characters, well... they'll post any rumor so long as it gets them attention. Until I hear it from the horse's mouth, I'm not biting.
