  1. Not sure whether I'll be going. I'll be in D/FW for part of that weekend, but if I do attend this, I'll only be able to go for part of Friday, as I've got a family thing the rest of the weekend. But I'm thinking about it.
  2. Sounds all right, but I think I prefer the main theme he wrote for SSBB over this, and that's to say nothing of the many awesome themes he wrote over the course of his FF career (or many other games).
  3. I'd totally forgotten this project was going on until I poked around OCR for the first time in months just a little while ago. What a great surprise to see that not only is it happening, but it's almost done! Awesome. Can't wait to hear the finished project!
  4. Wow, poking my head around OCR for the first time in months, and I see two projects that I'm very interested in nearing completion (this, FFIV), and another seemingly not too far off (DKC2). Can't wait to hear this stuff. Hope the release is sooner than later!
  5. Hm. I just read this whole thread, and I don't know what to say — or think. A disclaimer before I say anything else: I used to be very involved at the Chrono Compendium. I was a regular participant in the Chrono threads here at OCR that led to the creation of the Compendium, I wrote some content for the initial version of the site (including an article on Magus that I think is the only bit of my content that's still up) and I used to have some administrative privileges there. But I haven't been active there in years, and post there only slightly more than I post here anymore. And I had no involvement whatsoever in this project, to the point that I just barely knew it was even going on. I have to say that while I can certainly see that Zeality is fanatical (or "overzealous," if you will...sorry, couldn't resist the pun) when it comes to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, I've never seen anything from him (either in public forums or in personal correspondence between myself and him via AIM, e-mail, etc.) that would suggest he'd do anything like this. I also believe that Zeality really was not the main force behind this (truthfully, I think that agent12 listed a page back or so was), and therefore even if this whole C&D thing was faked, I'm not sure that it was him doing the faking. That seems quite out of character for what I know about him. Not saying it couldn't have happened that way, just that I don't think it did. Either way, I do think it's a bit sweeping to just declare that Zeality faked this whole thing because he's a nutbag. I recognize that he made a lot of enemies here, but it's for that exact reason that I'm a bit skeptical of some (not all) of these posts. But on the other hand...there do seem to be quite a few people expressing some doubts here. Some of whom don't seem to just be seeing speculation and using that as the basis for renewing personal attacks. If you'd asked me earlier tonight whether I had any doubts as to the veracity of that C&D order, I'd have said, of course not, it seems real to me. Now I'm not sure. I've only skimmed parts of the letter itself, and I haven't made any personal attempts to investigate the numbers or any of that. Really, I'm not sure what to think. I want to believe in what the Compendium says happened, maybe because I'm too close to the site. But I have to admit this thread has made me really think that something fishy's going on. Bah, I'm not sure what I was trying to accomplish by posting this here. I just had to react to everything I just took in. Sorry to drag up a thread that hasn't been posted on in a couple of days.
  6. Wow. This is really good stuff. I am entirely unfamiliar with the source material, and I often don't listen to mixes of tunes I'm not familiar with, but I just gave this one a listen on a whim, mostly because of who did it. And damn, great track. Also, nice cumshot at 2:17. Always fun to hear.
  7. And just in time to prepare to get hit by Tropical Storm Gustav. Yippee!
  8. Mustin lost his wallet? Man, that's no good. What do you think of Vol. 2? I think it's incredible.
  9. Tracks I love: The first five tracks, Acquatic Ambience, Mine Cart Madness, the forest and treetop songs, Dolliwop DoWop (or whatever), and the K. Rool tracks. Not that there's any bad tracks on the CD (well, I'm not a big fan of the Monkey Love track). Definitely would like to see a DKC2 project. There's so many untouched songs on that soundtrack of which I want to see mixes. Though I think it'd be hard to top Prot's Forest Birdcussion.
  10. And hell, the composer of the Secret of Evermore soundtrack, Jeremy Soule, actually made a remix of Terra's Theme from FFVI that was posted here at OCR about 6 months or so ago. Unless that was revealed at some point to be a hoax, in which case I'll just shut the hell up. Anyway, Kudos to all involved in this project for getting such a positive response from one of the original composers. Nice Work, Guys. Seriously.
  11. Thanks. I may just break down and download one of those. Lord knows I can get more use out of it than just this.
  12. No. Anyone's allowed to post, so long as they don't whine, bitch, moan, or otherwise complain about the project. Constructive criticism is welcome from ANYONE. Oh, I know. I was just messing around with ol' KWarp over there. I have nothing to say about this project right now, other than that I support it. And I probably won't have anything more to say until it's done.
  13. The Gang-Plank Galleon Part 1 and 2 arrangements are separate tracks meant to be played together without pause. Use the .cue files included in the torrent to burn the CDs with the zero second pauses in the right places, or manually insert zero second pauses yourself. Run-down of tracks which need a zero second pause before them (as mentioned in the Album Instructions readme also included in the torrent): (CD1) 02 - Hemophiliac - Swing, Monkey, Swing (Simian Segue) 03 - JigginJonT - West Coast DK Island (DK Island Swing) 04 - Unknown - Rest and (Re)spite on a Soft Summer Night (Cranky's Theme) 05 - Adhesive_Boy - Cry of the Chasmal Critter Chain (Cave Dweller Concert) (CD2) 14 - smh - Arboreal Ascent (Treetop Rock) 21 - SnappleMan - Thrash the Plank (Gang-Plank Galleon Pt 2) Anyone know how to do this in either Windows Media Player or Roxio Easy CD Creator? I know I could download something like iTunes to do it, but I want to avoid any downloading if at all possible. Quoting because it's at the bottom of the previous page and I actually want people to see it.

  15. Awesome stuff, people. Really great. I don't quite like every single track, but I certainly like most of them. A question: Is there a way to get both versions of the K. Rool battle on one track so that when I burn this to a CD it doesn't have that little moment of disruption? Thanks. Once again, this is some damn good stuff. [Edit] This is a DAMN good idea. That is one of CT's most neglected themes.[/Edit]
  16. Vwee! Post 1000 on this thread. I still say Zeromus from FFIV is the hardest final boss ever.
  17. This thread still lives? Well I'll be goddamned... OK, Ruby Weapon. Hardest. Boss. Ever. (Except for possibly Ozma from FFIX.)
