  1. I know that Pixietricks has had some fair contact with Claado. Maybe I should ask her when I get my remixed VGDJ intro sent to her.
  2. I have a day off tomorrow, so I should be able to float around the labs and get something down. I can access here from 11AM-10PM (which is like, 6AM-5PM on the East Coast... the timescale for a typical day on Harvest Moon, nerd fans!). I also need to set priorities on getting my next WIP on TO's Doom 2 project sorted out as well, but I'm sure I will be able to juggle both fairly decently
  3. I do listen, just that I have been doing so more recently, that's all. And when I mean that, it's been from 30 onwards Oh by the way, expect a PM from me in the next day or two. It'll concern something that would happen very, very soon on your show. *reads Caleb's comment* ... yeah, it's not everyday you see a chick in the PRC...
  4. Either that, or he's too busy thinking of other ways to promote fanboyism towards the FFVII project
  5. I must have missed that part. Care to elaborate?(also, Substitution, not Replacement, but whatever ) Ah, thanks. That's my fault for only getting 30 minutes of sleep or some crud that night. Anyway, that topic lead on from our discussion behind the FFXI soundtrack (the game which spawned the source material for the Peoples Remix Competition 61), where most people were speculating great things. I actually read a few reviews on the soundtrack and they were thinking it weren't the same from Uematsu's style, of whom did a handful of tracks out of the entire score. Then most of the people in the chat started hating on him, which lead to Larry starting to hate on Terra, which lead us both to relieve on that track getting "substituted" in said compo and thinking of the possibilities that would come out of it. We both think stuff like Time Circuits and Ice Cap and stuff like that would be candidates for sources in the future; for us the possiblities were endless. Ahaha, I think I rambled too much
  6. It's hard to remember, but I'm giving it a shot. VGF81 - * I came first to discuss my DoD and ORC tracks and discussing the concept behind the Popular Music Replacement Competition that's going on right now with FF6's "Terra", while at the same time still patronising Larry's pubefro and his donning of womens' underwear * Arek the Absolute gives in more scope to Milkyway Wishes and ideas for his incoming Megaman X 1-3 project. Makes fun out of Larry's pubefro. * Nineko calls in to mainly talk about his hacking exploit at OLR and why he did it, as well as deciding to start doing some serious work. Shares some Italian with the peers. Makes more fun out of Larry's pubefro. VGF82 - * Flik makes a return to the airwaves after so long to discuss what he's been doing all this time. Mainly spends most of his time over his fighting against the Flu recently. * Joe Cam phonejacks Shael Riley, thinking Larry needs some comfort on the air before the music starts. Guess not? * A mystery caller tries to imitate Shael. Because of no ID system, no one ever knew who the hell that was... * Shael Riley comes on to mention the remastering of his Toybox album and how Disk Mastah Smokabitch and Hella-Tight MC Fukkaslut left the OLR remix panel, as well as submitting "What Key Are We In, Cutsman?" to said site. * Geoffrey Taucer mentions a little about his musics and his turnout at the recent OCR meetups as well as the origins of his name and his irish whistle. * Kevin "Lorenzo" Sisk comes on to start discussing how his track in the FLMC "The Eleven Day Journey" was established, as well as how he lost nearly 100lbs (!) on a recent weight loss plan. * I'm too mashed to remember what chthonic and OverCoat had to say. Can someone help me out here? I hope this kind of helps O.o
  7. The Place We Knew is because Larry's still waiting on Chrono Symphonic, and Crystal Potion is because he played it before when it was up on VGMix. Does that answer the question? And... wtf, VGF is EARLY? Sounds like good timing because I just couldn't sleep X_x
  8. Maybe it's because he already played a lot of the Toybox material as it was earlier on in the year (or last year in the case of World's Worst Drum Programmer). I think it happens. O_o Once again, ever since it didn't get a formal announcement as such in the topic header after putting up the link three pages back, I have VGF70!
  9. Gray, you do realise that most of those things will still remain on him after he leaves Emory? That said, aside from the VGF MP3s and stuff like his contributions to OLR I can't imagine him recording his voice sometime soon, so that gets my vote. But be prepared, because this lion bites O_o()
  10. Sef, don't give up; there's three weeks remaining. Surely you can provide something good enough for the show in that time. I mean look, you finally got some of your original stuff played earlier on this year, so it should make a good (re)starting point. Believe me, a lot can happen in three weeks O.O
  11. That didn't stop me from calling you on VGFs 67 and 70 Speaking of which, I might call again if the lines aren't free given the situation on the playlists. You know, with the DoD and past OCR compos and possibly plugging a guest QnA spot I did on RPGamer recently O.O
  12. So much for the 5AM wakeup call O_o Nonetheless, two VGFs in one night? Now that will be interesting. Whichever happens, you know I will be there as the usual.
  13. He only cut it short because material's been lacking, as it usually has been these past few weeks or so; no thanks to fewer subs to OCR, VGMix being down, some of the compos not holding enough spice as they used to and so forth. But yes, I believe that Larry is talking about this saturday coming. He's only doing 81 tonight so he can play catch-up with what he missed last week.
  14. I now stand corrected. We have a third, apparantly.
  15. Thank God it's the weekend; I could just set something like a near-to-5AM wakeup call like with VGF79. Once again, we Europeans are treated to the Larry Oji Breakfast Show™! And... damn, I just remembered; April 1st is the start of my Easter vacation. I don't even know if I would be able to call, but I will still attempt to catch the show if it goes on for long enough. Figuring out how to use a mobile in a semi-detached house without waking up any relations will be tough if it does happen Talk about pot calling the kettle black; you were on the edge of crying in two scenarios this past couple of months, being struggling to get the webstream working for VGF75 (I wonder when that would be put up for all to see though), and the end of Toyota Disco's reign on the OLR Top 11. That said, if you can do that, then Arek can cry all he wants
  16. o_O() There was me thinking that was June 3rd. Goes to show that I get my dates muddled up, doesn't it? Happy one year of OLR. I know that the site has a lot of projects getting started up, but also, so is here as of late. We have this one, Doom 2, Super Dodge Ball, Dragon Warrior, Kirby Superstar and Tales of Phantasia/Symphonia residing here alone, and there's many other potential candidates for officiality (is that a word?) in the WIP: OCR forums. Don't panic about strict regulations concerning site projects at OLR, because compared to us, OLR seems to be standing on terra firma while we're heading towards the quicksand direction (!). I wish I could stick by the statement with the Katamari project, but we did see that Jimbo scrapped the idea. (hasn't he heard of WIP deadlines?? oh well...) I'll still work on it a little more as a standard OLR sub. Before I forget, why the pessimism on thinking that we might topple you? You're the Mighty Sexophone, so I know you can push the power of the sax in some shape or form
  17. Well the only thing that instigated this project to begin with were the general public's reaction to Hedgehog Heaven. I don't know if we could instigate a future Sonic project, though if anything Sonic 1 would be perfect material for something like OLR to mess around with And Snapple, watch out for a finished WAV in your inbox pretty soon. Het and I have decided that the render I sent you last night would be the finished version for the project (unless Geoff and/or Xenon do better, of course).
  18. It's not necessarily the samples used in the clip (a reason why I would never work with 808 kits), but it's more like the kind of effect work that's being driven across. I will consider experimenting with what's been said in the thread, but even here I understand there's some controversy on the sample I've put up with. That said, if anyone knows any places to find reference drum samples, I should be able to find a better explanation for my intensions. And if anyone must know, that clip was done by Bentley Rhythm Ace. I'm expecting more missiles being hurled towards me after what I towed back, but that's the problem when the usual web browsing won't give me much else
  19. It took a lot of browsing, but this 14-second clip has the tone I'm looking for, although not quite as compressed as crazy as shown in the explosion further on.
  20. It would help if you mention which one Distortion? Flange? Delay? Nonetheless, what I'm thinking specifically tone-wise is late 80s-early 90s dance riffs, with artists I'm looking at here including the Prodigy, the Crystal Method and the Chemical Brothers. I could even point at Khalan's "DevilLab Acid" for the kind of mood to look for, but that's five years old and I don't even know if the effect remains now.
  21. I know this may be an odd question, but I'm hoping in one of my incoming tracks to manipulate the drums so that they sound really gritty and dark sounding, but I don't want to overdo it and be shrugged off as a noob when I do that () so I thought I'd come here for help. All I want to know is what kind of effects I should put on the drum kit being used, in what order and if possible in what quantities. If it helps, this is what they currently sound like. (Default demos for the win.) Thanks for the help in advance
  22. Even though we understand that time has to move on, it's shows like this that help make people much more aware of the sites that they currently reside. We can easily do with things that have felt more like a community thing, and it's that that I feel has been done right. Thanks once again, and... sure I'll wait patiently for VGF81 In other news, I have VGF70 for the people who want it. Or if I'm doing the wrong thing in waiting for Larry to make the release official on Paige's webserver, sure he can edit the link out or he can tell me to remove it O.o
  23. We could always ask DarkeSword, but does he have time to check IPs on edited posts? You be the judge.
  24. He usually lurks around MSN when I sometimes come on. If I see him I'll bring up the subject and see what he thinks.
