I'm sure there'll be a fine balance between file size and compression. Think of it; at least it won't be the pain in the neck that is maximum CBR -

I don't know about the 128kb MP3s. There's bound to be some people who just can't use the torrents whatsoever, possibly due to firewall situations and whatnot. -

Red Tailed Fox for the win. I just noticed that last night. -
TO, you know how my composition manages to stand. That aspect is at least finished off, but while I'm at home I can't work on the technical polish. This is why I feel I'd appeal for a collab partner to finish off the production.

Seriously, I'm not Kyle but I think we have enough for an album whether the tracks are complete or not. Now stop complaining and let him get on with it.

I'm not the chicken, but did you download the track alright at least? If so, it might have been with the way it was encoded. You could re-encode it (transform it into a WAV and then back into an MP3) and try that, but that's a mad person's opinion anyways. By the way, KFC gave me your Hydrocity track last night, and may I say that's among one of your best efforts yet. We're glad to have you onboard, House. -

If you want to offer advice, then it's a little late * but thanks anyway. I also take you're a fan of Xenon huh? Maybe you should pass your thoughts onto him for standalone mixes -
My track is literally complete, just that I still need to send that to you * Also, I understand that your heart isn't really in the track anymore, but if it isn't, you could still be able to pass the torch to someone else. That's what happened when Project Chaos was almost doomed to fail, and then SnappleMan came in to help KFC. I hope things go ok

Dhsu, that's old style naming. See now that we had "sonic2", "kirby", "doom", "chrono" and "sf2" being taken up now? I'm pretty sure that "tales" will be used in this instance. Also, we have good news to keep this well boosted. CHM and LuIzA's collab has just passed the judges, so we'll be in for quite the release by the time the project comes out

Larry for the win. That definitely ain't how the in-game dialogue pronounces his name.

I take the shownotes don't allow hotlinks? Because that's what I've been thinkin' when I saw the link to the Telediscount access numbers being omitted I think some people from outside the community would be a little bit confused. Anyways, I'll be sure to listen to the show. Street Fighter = <3

69's definitely my highlight. Or wait, now that I mention it, anything with Paige on the show must be considered a higlight, for more reasons than one
-
That would actually be so cool. I would do it myself had there been a couple of things not holding me back right now but we'll see what happens. Anyway, this is a method that I actually give all due credit to DistantJ. When I wanted to call onto VG Frequency for the first time, I mentioned it in the VGMix chatterbox and he pointed out Telediscount. He saw it as the way to be able to call his peers (was it his girlfriend?) from abroad. So I used that and followed the instructions to get onto the show the following Saturday... and many other Saturdays after that. For VGDJ I took that method and just replaced the WMRE number with yours. So, if there's any Brits reading this, this is what you do: * Dial the access number for calls to the United States - check here for the number, which sometimes changes once in a while. * When it says "please enter the number you would like to call and finish by pressing the hash (#) button" you just type 00 and THEN the VGDJ number. In this case it's 001 800 990 VGDJ (8435 if you can't see any letters imprinted on your phone). * If you hear the VGDJ intro music followed by our hosts speaking about the answering machine, you know you're at the right place. And there we go. A viable method for British users to call to VGDJ.

Alex, we can do it; just that we have to do something else to call to International waters. For proof's sake, I'll drop a message. I have time ever since my brother's doing exams this week and he won't catch me doing just one long-distance call. [EDIT: Sent!]

Yeah, it took me just over a month to finalise Dream Traveler. And look where it is now; on the project, and used as the project preview near the end of VGF's life. I'm still in anticipation, especially to hear how my peers' stuff turned out ^^ Also, what's all this about remastering on the front page? Is there something we have to do for that? (And do I still need to send my profile in? I can't remember if I submitted that or not.)

Dude, I know you're the man in charge of this collab and I do not mean to get into subject I'm not supposed to, but... don't you think it's too late to bring in more people? I mean, you guys have been working on this for over a year and we are all so anxious to see what will come out. I don't know. What frightens me is that bringing more people in will delay the conclusion of the project in a good deal of months... He's not bringing in more people: BrainCells already has one song on the project. Kyle for the win. Also, whatif he could be doing some backing music for the website? That's what I see by "short song" anyway. -
Listen, this project has been in the works for a while. Most of these people were around since the project kicked off last May, and I should know that because I cleared my first track in a month (only to briefly revise it a little later on). We're lucky for the most part on this considering that Kyle has one of the most user connections anyone can wish for right about now. So be grateful that he's finally going to be able to put this under polish.

Any song not done by the upcoming due date, which will be announced this weekend, won't be included on the final project. Not every song is completely imperative to the finished project (much like every song wasn't necessary for the SFII project). I'm going to be pushing everyone for this last month to get their stuff done, and if it's not done by the time the project is set for release, their song's not going to be a part of it. Kyle said it best. The initial scores for Phantasia and Symphonia were huge to begin with, and his initial plans back then were just to cover 20 of each. No matter what this is still going to be an epic 2-discer.

I got my Hammer sketches sent to you I'll get Copy set up tomorrow. -
Tell me about it. norg won't even respond back to me, even if I sent him PMs very frequently. I think we're both seeing some kind of irk down the line with people who are pretty much straying away from here :s
-
Eap... time was too short. I don't know if I'd do a piano part for the Final Boss collab, but rest assured I will do something depending on how my home setup will feel like. Sadorf wants me to take up Fruityloops, so I'll need to play around with that for a little bit. O_o

I did a quick search, he's from Dragon Quest 6. No wonder why he looked familiar: he looks almost like the priests in the NES titles. Anyway, yes, I still need to patch DQ5 and 6 and get around to playing those. Nice catch.

If I can get Darangen in here, he'd help you out with the Lufia identifications Also, I swear that old man looks familiar but I can't pin a name on it. Where did you find him?
