Yes, that's the pose I keep thinking the reason Larry rejected it the first time was that it was too bright, but he didn't say anything. Oh well, I'm interested to see how it goes.
-
Yeah, King of Pillows's avatar is Yuji Horji (Misc1). Misc3 and Misc9 are Kazuhiko Aoki and Hironobu Sakaguchi. For reference, Misc4 is Akira Toriyama, but there's no sign of Uematsu's respective sprite (which looks a lot like Norstein Bekkler to me).

With pictures like that, it makes me wonder what the UK meet would have been like if it was more than just me and TCK but yeah, it's good to know you peeps had a neat time out there. I want to move to the USA...

The one thing that came to mind here is "Nice Legs". But hey, it's your call.
-
Is there a way for them to do that outside that aspect of the game, like pressing Z or R twice when you get near them?
-
I don't know about you, but I'm not really too sure on getting that game. I know that it's a new adventure for Mario and his first 2D sidescroller in quite a while, which I know I have come to respect when it comes to the wishes of the fans. However, I don't know about you but every Mario game of this type sounds like the same; go through the Mushroom kingdom, use powerups to make yourself big/shoot stuff/fly/be invincible etc, fight koopa/shy guy driven enemies, ride the occasional Yoshi, tackle ghost houses, climb pipes, collect lots of coins and eventually rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. I'm not saying it's bad, but I just want to see a DS Mario title (other than Kart DS/Superstar Saga >.>) that deviates from this tiring format, if you know what I mean.

Let me be the first - aside from the project coordinators - to welcome him on
-
He's a project manager for the OCR mascots thing. Also, I heard your tracks and I'll get back to you before I go to bed.

Talking of which...
-
Agreed. Also, much of us are dying to know how VGF75 turned out

Another neat show, I am sure There's definitely more content than previously stated, and so I'm sure to cast in my much delayed vote in the matter. BTW Cyan, Animal Crossing is on the GameCube. If I was referring to Wild World on the DS (which indeed had most of K.K.'s songs transferred towards said platform), I'd be showing a top screen AND a touch screen in the same topic.
-
Kyle, I got your message. ^^ I'll have my bio and stuff sent whenever possible. Also, if this project still has some problems come September, depending if there's any songs free I might even do a third track (unless you want me to work with cheap MIDI for a bit ).

Hah, well I don't know about you but I can't really imagine Helo being transferred to the GBA unless the console is really capable of pushing 3D graphics (not sure if 2D would work, otherwise it'll feel more like Contra than Halo). Still yeah, I understand that Rare would still be happy to do such handheld projects on the DS. But the sole question still remains; if Banjo Pilot (formerly Donkey Kong Pilot or whatever) was released on the GBA, did they even try to settle with Nintendo to actually keep the original Donkey Kong characters in it? I just thought that would be an interesting point to raise O.o
-
Nah, it's originally a N64 game. There was an attempt to bring a Diddy Kong Pilot to the GBA, but it got changed to Banjo Pilot and sucked.Reportedly, this port will have custom tracks. If so, I might actually buy it again. Yeah, I kept on thinking to myself "if I ever owned an N64, I want it with Diddy Kong Racing". It's good to see it move to the DS, but I'm a little confused on how it's out there. Given that the original was made by Rare, what would you think will be of the use of Banjo, Conker and Tricky considering Rare's owned by Microsoft these days? Just curious, is all.

Heck, I almost got Pokemon Sapphire. But then my brother was all... **dons cap and sleek british teenage male voice** "oh my God, Pokemon is a baby game. don't get that shit, you're too old for that. getting red and gold is a big mistake i wont forget. if you get it, youll be embaressed out of hell." **puts cap away** And so, with the money that I was hoping to use to purchase Sapphire, I bought Sonic Advance 2 instead. Oh well, I'm sure emulation will do suffice. Considering Diamond and Pearl though, I actually see the graphics to offer a fair improvement from the screenshots I saw for the GBA Pokemon titles. But the gameplay remains to be seen as to make me wonder whether it will still cater for younger gamers or when it will be able to make like Red/Blue and appeal to a wider demograph. Nonetheless, it looks interesting. Also, as part of the "Let me pimp a game that people haven't thought of" clan, I should point out Crash Boom Bang! as something to look into if party games are more of your fetish. Yes, yes, I know, there's some of you that aren't very fond of the Crash Bandicoot series for one way or another, and I in particular seemed to fall more skeptical over some of Vivendi's choices for development teams since Naughty Dog moved on, but I actually feel more in for this one. With Dimps (the development team for Sonic Rush) making the game this time as well as adding their own creative contributions on making this worthwhile, I think I'd be seeing into a more promising title in the series for quite a while. Here's my fingers crossed that it remains that way up to its release this October and/or they don't upset the rabid Crunch fangirl demograph with their render of said character.

Randi's the boy you get at the start, and Purim is the girl with the blonde hair that comes with you. I also had a try at a pose with Popoie (the sprite child), but that didn't come through. Could that be something you might consider?
-
But that's what was so funny about it... Do we have any Secret of Mana avatars, besides the main character? There's one of Randi up right now, and he accepted what I did with Purim. I hope this answers your question. O.o

Consider it done The GIF that's used here had a lot of white space around it, so no resizing/pixel removal was necessary. LT: Yep, I know. Thanks for the quick help, miss.

OCR01474 - Jurassic Park (GEN) "Concerto for Velociraptor"
Rexy replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Saxophone breeding... heh. Something about that saying is giving me the most girlish vibes in my way of thinking right now. Thank you very much. Also, considering Forsaken World, I can't really speak on Darangen's behalf but I'm sure the reason on that is because in spite of some improving production work, the interpretation of the theme itself was too conservative to make it onto the site. That also had a very close vote to accompany it, so I understand your grief with that track. -
OCR01474 - Jurassic Park (GEN) "Concerto for Velociraptor"

I've only briefly seen my brother play this game when borrowing it from a friend of his, but I know for sure that Koeslch has caught the feel spot on. I easily like how he can make his sax sounds like things that it shouldn't really be (in this case the velociraptors), and the different moods established throughout this are sure to make great background music if you ask me. I think one way I can suggest that would have made it a little bit better were any further applications on EQs to actually give some of the instruments more punch, like more mids with the saxophone and some slight low-to-mid work done with the bass strings. I know the judges had gripes with the production in particular, which I had to agree with to some extent. But still, this is okay, and a very interesting arrangement with the work placed around it. I even read about a month prior to this getting posted that GrayLightning informed the people of Unmod about it, and I pretty much understand their shaken reaction to this. Heck, I too was surprised when I saw this in the "to be posted" section after so many resubs and all that. But still, what we are seeing is that OCR cares for the growth of various musicians, whether they abide the law, have been in trouble in the past, or have become disruptive to the point of being banned from the forums (which is the case for Koelsch here). Other sites aren't necessarily so lucky; I know that OLR has a policy that is "to not post material by banned users" (quoth Richter), and when zyko and I posted our collabs with him on VGMix after he got banned, eyebrows were raised around us, and in my case in particular I had to bring it up with the staff (namely Gwilym) to see if posting it would be acceptable. That said, I respect OCR's decision in accepting some of these banned members' submissions, as a way in making them continue to grow as musicians in spite of their previous actions with others. I now end this on a positive note. Koelsch, welcome to the OCRemixer clan. -
When I refer to modern orchestra, I'm mainly leaning towards similar stylistic traits to certain composers that use traditional symphonic backdrops coupled with elements that aren't traditionally used. For me, Yasunori Mitsuda's PS1 game scores come to mind when I describe this. I hope this helps out

Okay, so you guys saw that Gray is unable to contribute much music-wise now that his situation has fallen under. I felt rather saddened by this because I thought this would be a great opportunity to equal our compositional skills a little more in the track we would have been developing. Still, the track will go on. Either situation will happen concerning the track - * I will finish it myself and find a render for it. OR * I will pass the framework to another remixer (hopefully someone who has their roots in modern orchestra) and we'll pass the MIDI back and forth adding our own little bits to it, essentially him/her being the collab partner to replace Gray. But first, I gotta finish off Eagle Tower >.> My coursework is soon becoming a thing of the past, giving me more time to do music than ever. Man do I love the smell of Freedom in the mid-Springtime.
-
I'd quickly try another if I wasn't cramped for time. By May 26th I also got to finish off other project tracks too; I also got an entire timetable written out showing what I must do. Still, yes, I got your PM, and depending on whatever amount of time I have I'll see if I can get in on the collab.

You're the one to talk! Both of you, pics, nows! You've asked for it! It cost me £3.50 to use the passport photo booth inside the Student Union, but it was worth it... or so I think.

Don't blame me, I'm just finally escaping the pits of hell that are University examinations and coursework deadlines.
