  1. I'm telling you guys that I have been at work. My problem is, this week had me doing my exams so I couldn't get much finalisation done on the poses that I was requiring. Luckily enough it's bank holiday weekend, so if it's not tomorrow the sketches will be in within the next couple of days. Also, chances are that I may need to drop Copy for the time being and just focus on getting Hammer established first off. I think I tackled too much at a time. O_o
  2. You're the one to talk! Both of you, pics, nows! We better watch out, Rexy. I think pixie is gonna bust out the whip here soon. You're gonna be the lucky one; Pixie's whip is too large to strike you on your first try. Odds are it'll steer right across the Atlantic before she gets a chance to hit a surface with it.
  3. I'd love to but what's a chick without a camera?
  4. I'm just posting to say that I have got hold of the sticker today! It got delivered to the college post this Friday and I was able to pick it up today. I pass my thanks to the "VGDJ team". Now, all that leaves me now is wondering where I should put the thing...
  5. I understand your sister's appreciation in techno, which somehow ended up being a passion I grew into taking in from the days when working with Acid and whatnot. Today, my brother is more into the electronica scene than me but I actually appreciate elder mix tapes more than those from these days. I don't know if they're the same in your country, but trance mix tapes have turned more like hip hop mix tapes with these annoying MCs rapping over the top; in the cases of what he's getting, they're mainly doing it for the entire instrumental parts of the CD. That said, up until recently, mix tapes were listenable to me and now they're just plain annoying. Apologies to those who were offended by this, but there was something about that experience that I needed to get out of the system. Likewise, expect Vega's theme from Street Fighter 2 seemed to be the culprit.
  6. I don't know if this is a question suited for the lock, but it looks harmless enough. I actually uploaded my first remix on the web when I was 17, but I've actually been getting used to studio software since the age of 12. I wonder if I can find some of those old Acid demos stashed away somewhere... O.o
  7. I see the deadline. However, I do have problems; one of those weeks is spent away for Easter, and another is spent for exams upon return. If I don't get a WIP in time, odds are I'd request for a time extension.
  8. Probably depends on how the people percept the themes. I don't think the actual melody lines in the two zone stages change too drasticalaly from one another. If anything there's Angel Island's acts having different keys for their zones, but I've tackled that by focusing on both equally. Still, I just kinda wish KFC would come through with his tracks soon. The longer we have to wait, the longer my AI contribution would age (was done for nearly a year) and so would some other peoples' songs. O_o()
  9. Took a while for the response, but that was much appreciated. Concerning sizes and color palettes, much of these were shown like that in their respective games to begin with (with the exception of Balrog which I had to cut down to half the size). I had some trouble trying to resize Pikachu and the Tetris blocks in particular, which lead with some of these stretched out pixels when incorporating them as GIFs. I would work on these a little more, but given that I'm at home for Easter with such limited hardware/software, I can't do that right now. Unless, if there's someone willing to help me out on those icons that didn't quite make it, I will easily hump your leg like there's no tomorrow. Plus, if someone can actually make a better Crash avatar than I did (which when I did mine I took the original icon taken from Crash Nitro Kart on the GBA), I will seriously be greatful. I see little to no love for many of these PlayStation oriented "heroes", so to speak O.o
  10. I'd love to attend but it's too late for me Nonetheless, should I wrestle some free time I will be able to present more sketches over the Easter period.
  11. If it helps I spoke to him the other day about it. I don't know who to speak for in this case, but I hope his side of the story kind of aids the situation at hand. Concerning Joker though, I'll be able to PM him about that when I give him his feedback for his CoE track update.
  12. I think we all do. There's only a few more days until he will stop giving up his foot fetish for lent.
  13. I've had a try at some, but so far I could just come up with Klonoa and Crash Bandicoot. If I have time I'll be able to find more and put them up for trying out. [EDIT: Updated with Pikachu (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire), Sora and Riku (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories), Hamtaro, the girl and sprite from Secret of Mana, some long overdue coverage for SMB1 Mario (normal and super forms; take your pick), Eri from Metal Slug 2 (can anyone do Tarma? Most of the sprites I found for him were only just too big O.o), Curly and Balrog (Cave Story) and some Tetris blocks to compliment what Evilhead has already posted (separated to the line below).] (Mostly) Gameboy sprite hunting for the win. O.o LT: Some are too small or too dark. No point in some of these being so small though you probably can't help it given some are from the Gameboy. Klonoa, too small. Crash, too ugly, and I'm sure there's a better pic. Pikachu, too small. KH guys are ok. Hamtaro, too dark, not to mention hell naw. Just Purim from SoM. Get Super Mario in a better pose (standing, jumping). Took Eri and Curly. I spit on Balrog. Tetris blocks are TINY, no good. Use the 32x32 dimensions as best as possible. Thanks for the ones chosen so far.
  14. Hey, thanks for the comment on the track Your in depth coverage is much appreciated. It's actually pretty amusing that you liked the 2:44 bit; I actually did something clever there as far as the arrangement goes for that part. From then til 3:28 I put in some (slightly liberal) easter eggs relating to Castlevanias 1-4. Only Gray seemed to know about that prior to the mix's posting; I was surprised no one really spotted it up until now. I spoke with Liontamer on VG Frequency concerning the original version of the song just over 6 months ago, and I mentioned how it reflected some of my Summer experiences. That said, other musical influences I ended up feeling when incorporating some parts of the mix down included Chrono Cross (the opening progressions are almost remeniscent to the opening of "Time's Scar"), Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (the music box progression at 2:35 had a similar approach in mood to "Truth" from the game's score) and Starfox (5:22-5:39 has a chord progression that matches at least the first half of the map screen music; another track I've somehow grown fascination with). If anyone wanted to know that, now they do
  15. I know, I just wanted to play along. I've learnt a lot from the past two April Fools jokes here to know how to go around them.
  16. Oh, you know I played along I think the most hilarious thing that happened was that Kyle's and Arek's "project cancelled" jokes fooled Darkesword to the point of him deleting them. Nonetheless, I'll try to have something ready. It's a shame that two of those weeks from now to the deadline is Easter vacation, which would make me a little concerned on how to get around all this. Still, good to see this is all on tracks
  17. It clearly says on the new mix's page that we'd only be paying for OC Remixes. I'm sure that Podcasts are safe for now.
  18. If that happens, I'm on for the move. I've stuck on so long that I don't want to see this fall apart. I would have preferred a bit of a friendly-ish perspective for most of us considering there are still some of us that still won't get over the exodus. ThaSauce would be a start; they've even got a forum dedicated to running projects, so you can't really go wrong. Whichever happens, it's down to you.
  19. And where am I in the formulae? I know I tried to gather some people around, but I know that some of my own contacts have had problems just trying to come around. Still, that's good news concerning the website. Mad props go to you for doing so Hadyn
  20. You know for sure I will be better focused on the art side for three weeks when I come home for Easter on Friday
  21. I know, but how did you feel when Rayza and Aurora both left? I wasn't there much when they were hosting, but I'm figuring that you got used to the newbies fairly quickly while at the same time still thinking a lot about what the past presenters are doing now. As long as you remember the good times, everything will be okay
  22. We appreciate your offer Nineko, but I think Snapple meant in-house project people collabs. Nonetheless, sounds fun; if you want me involved in any of which, it'll have to be until after April 23rd, if you really want to know.
  23. Nah, I'm actually still in love with his Irish impression at the end of the last show We need something more like that.
  24. You forgot to edit it saying that those ahead of Larry's time or behind him by 1-2 hours are facing Tuesday and not Monday
