  1. (glances up from FFT...) TV? So now I don't have to mess with that pesky "Power Button" anymore in order to watch tv? Whew! Lifesaver! Call a doodie? I don't know any doodies. Isn't that a biohazard? You kids and your newfangled gadgets... (..continues poaching Wildbows)
  2. Surprised no one has mentioned, but Image Line is having an End of the World Sale. ALL plugins are $45USD, but you only get to utilize this in one transaction. So if you've been saving up for those $150 FL Studio plugins, they're forty-five bucks a pop if you get them all now. Check the site for details. http://www.image-line.com/documents/news.php?entry_id=1355105323&title=end-of--world-sale
  3. The sad thing is it's been over 3 months and I'm JUST NOW seeing this. SORRY. Dan - Thanks. You'll get to 40 one day. We can't all be teenagers forever like you and DarkCecil13. Larry - THAX!(?) $face - Donatello style. Thanks. gifman - That never gets old. Thanks dude. Nonamer - Thank you. Doesn't surprise me a bit, though it does humble me a tad. One of Disco Dan's super powers is to make people feel jelly doughnut squishiness inside. No, really. A jelly doughnut is pulled from hammerspace and materializes inside your stomach. It's wonderful. OCRE - Thanks kiddo! Mr. Strader - I appreciate the sentiment, and I would've rotted above Midgar for a while if those .rob2 = thirnks alot, animefreak. and you got it all correct, too. $face (again): Yup. Flash Strife: Yes, they are. +10 points for remembering that. +50 points if you have the AAY sig someone made several years back. +527 points if you can point out the first time I used it on OCR. Crulex: Thanks, fellow KI fan! B.Linds: A shout-out to you, just for g.p. *ahem* YOU'RE FIRED!! [/j.kirk]
  4. (correctly) assume I'm too lazy to look these up. Could we get a brief description if each one, por favor?
  5. Will this future goodness ever include Token and/or "All Systems Go"? I wouldn't mind keeping the secret another 9 or 10 years, but I fear Dr. Dre will release Detox before Token is out : (
  6. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/11/05/star-wars-sequel-harrison-ford-han-solo-exclusive/
  7. I'd forgotten about the animated short. It WAS nice : ) . It was also nice to see non-anime, yet classy looking animation. I didn't see "Aerith Lives", but "Sheng Long Was Here" about had me tear my wife's arm off with excitement. Ditto, though nostalgia trumped reason (but I still found it yummy).
  8. If you see a blue sky, no one is going to convince you it's yellow. Fanboy/unfanboy opinions are cool, but leave the vehement evangelism to your cause in PPR. This "yuh-huh, nuh-uh" is getting old.
  9. Wasn't bad. It's Toy Story for the video game generation... lots of nostalgia for folks from the Pong generation to today's FPS generation. Nice easter eggs and inside jokes too (Kano anyone?). The "damsel in distress" is designed to appeal to the 8-12 year olds who have no idea who Q*Bert is or that Mario Kart started on the SNES, not on the DS, so there's something for everyone. A couple characters were overly annoying for me personally, but all-in-all, it's worth checking out...but we're all biased here (obviously). The residents of Felix's building had me rolling with their animation though. I couldn't stop laughing.
  10. Random thoughts: **Read Death Star PR's statement >> http://deathstarpr.com/2012/11/what-does-disneys-acquisition-of-lucasfilm-mean-for-the-galactic-empire/ **this... *(from co-worker) Unless you've got $5B to buy it from Disney, quit your b....... *I'm looking forward to Iron Man trying to turn Darth Kermit the Frog back to the light side of the Force in the straight-to-video, soon-to-be Pixar classic "Tinkerbell Visits Fraggle Rock 2 ft. Axel Foley" (narrated by Mary Alice Young) *IF you're mad now, wait till Overclocked ReMix is sold for $300,000 and a box of E.L. Fudge. *Kidding aside, it'll be fine. Promise. : )
  11. SB4 is still in the works, so up till then (and even past it) there may be amazing games in the works that utilize online. Just attempting a glass half-full.
  12. I was a temporary employee of Foxconn 8 years ago working at HP. It wasn't child labor for me, but it was my worst job ever (worse even than when I was at Burger King). The only plus is that's where I met my wife.
  13. Mr. Wonka, I am a teacher of geography!
  14. Pfft... once a sjf, always a sjf. : )
  15. Final Fantasy Tactics OST on the go? YES!
  16. Droidsound. Also plays .spc and .gb files. Listen to your SOR2 and SMRPG soundtracks, or beek's "Margarita" on the go! Also supports some of the external nsf chips like VRC6 (Akumajou Densetsu 3; Alter Ego enhanced OST; etc.) and Battletoads' title screen's drums. A must for any self-respecting vgm nerd. Free! Be sure to enable 3rd party apps. P.S. I browse using Dolphin-browser also. Mustin's right; 'tsa must have (no pun intended, I promise!)
  17. How about Shnabubla doing a piano cover of zircon/sixto's "Subterranean Kamikaze" from TMNT 4? In the end I suppose it would come down to the talent of the artist(s). And just because something does not qualify for the submission standards doesn't mean it couldn't be posted in the Workshop forum. Can't post ≠ taboo. Can't post = doesn't meet site guidelines/requirements.
  18. The bottom line is you can't please everyone. If you innovate, you're written off as gimmicky. If you stick to tried and true methods you're written off as uncreatively formulaic. You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't. The same sun that melts the ice hardens the clay.
