When i have all the tracks, two things will happen. I will send some of you a zip file with all the tracks, for evaluation. Please be constructive, as we are looking to make this project sound as good as we can possibly make it.
Secondly, I'm going to go through and try and figure out a track list. This means that a)I want to try and get the mood of the songs to create a progression, as opposed to
following the game's level list. I'm still debating between the two choices. -
Are you using the decompression tool I provided? Make sure you extract the .sf2 files.

I do admit, it's a great song so far, however, if I may ask you to try and tweak some things to give it a darker feel (to match the general mood of the project). Some minor note changes (no pun intended) could make a big difference for the overall feel. Other than that, I have no complaints. Well done, so far.
Also, I haven't seen Bill in a while.
Dunno where he is, so for the moment, I'm dropping him from the list. However, Bill, if you do show up, hit me up and I will put you back on. Until then however, TO and Bladiator are working on a song for that track, so the updated list is as follows:

I am in the process of reconfirming, however, I will release all the tracks to the mixing team at once, for some reasons.
We have a lot of time, trust me. Sonic project comes out march 1st. Kirby will probably come out either before or after that one. I dont want our projects 15 minutes to be infringed on, nor do I want theirs to be infringed on by ours. We will wait, for we have time.
Don't worry on the confirmations. They are coming in, slowly but surely.

After this excellent 2002 release, Tamimi dropped off the face of the OCR earth, and I'm quite disappointed in that. Could it possibly be djp's anti-Arab (or anti-SE Asian) hate mail that I regularly recieve in my inbox?
Probably not, however I am still "expecting more" as the mixer himself so eloquently put it earlier in this thread. This mix is pure trance (not in the electronica sense) delight, with the kind of vibes I would find on a Pure Moods CD (which I do own) and the soft, soothing melancholic feeling that draws well upon the original. The live instrument recording only adds to the excellence of this piece in leaps and bounds. I have no problems with the other instruments (specifically that e. piano that is being scrutinized). In one word: beautiful. In two words: beautiful and sad.
However, i have a minor gripe with the abrupt ending, however, it can be forgiven. Please make more music, Tamimi.

Why do I like this mix? Let me count the ways. Could it possibly be the trippy, somewhat dissonant qualities of the mix, with a bubbling, liquidy feel that is somewhat reminiscant of the dollar store rods with the little thing inside that moved up and down when you twisted it, making a whoooooooooooooooooo sound. I dunno what they are called, but this reminds me of one of those thingies. It has an almost mocking quality, daring the listener not to like it, daring the listener to get turned off by its quirky, strange and squishy sound. The nah nah nah nah boo boo part only adds to the mocking feel. We hear hints of steel drums in the background, and other elements that give this song a bit of a caribbean taste, which adds to the swampy feel, i guess. Parts of this mix remind me of the soundtrack to Legend of Legaia.
Heh. Not the best of reviews, but i will admit that I like this mix, for all of its crazy ass mood.

As I said twice before, this is definately more of an arrangement than a remix.The word "ReMix" was chosen but is not necessarily appropriate, as the tracks here are more arrangements than remixes (think of this as the difference between a "remix" and a "ReMix," mmmkay?). Besides, "OverClocked Arrangements" would have sounded gimp.
