  1. Sure, but if you remember when they dueled in Empire Strikes Back, Vader was basically just toying with him through their entire duel; not until Luke (inexplicably) became a full-fledged Jedi could he go toe to toe with Vader.
  2. YES! ANOTHER WBG MIX! Always happy when I see anything by worldsbestgrandpa. And this mix does not disappoint. Live acoustic folk arrangements done right!
  3. To clarify: the tank drum parts were live; the rest of the drums were not
  4. I don't usually like orchestral arrangements, but I love this!
  5. Have I really not left a review for this mix yet? Top notch, one of the best mixes on the site.
  6. Ideally I'd like to display the vinyls themselves as well
  7. So I go the Journey soundtrack on vinyl, and I want to display it on my wall. What's the best way to do this? Also, the set came with a plastic sleeve for each disc; is it better to store the records in the sleeves in the jacket, or just put them straight in the jacket?
  8. There's an easter egg in this track that I don't think anybody's found yet
  9. What about chiptune arrangements, or arrangements that combine game tunes with music form other sources?
  10. Count me the fuck in! Don't have a room arranged yet; let me know if you have room. Am willing to sleep on floors, in tubs, in chairs, and in beds with other people in a completely non-sexual manner, and willing to pay my portion of the cost of the room.
  11. I don't usually like orchestral arrangements, but I love this one.
  12. My girls just had their first meet of the season, and kicked copious posterior
  13. I feel you; spent several years fighting that same battle, and I've been clawing my way back out of that hole. For the most part things are good now, but I still get the occasional downswing.Keep fighting, and best of luck
  14. Working on a couple tracks with ffmusicdj (Current remix-in-progress is a punk/metal arrangement of Gold Saucer from FF7). Hopefully we're going to do an electro-folk remix album eventually. Getting back into juggling practice. Cleaning up my technique on 3, 4, and 5 balls, working on some new 5-ball tricks. Had some reasonably long 6-ball runs today. New juggling balls should be arriving later today, and I'll be able to start practicing higher numbers again. New clubs should be arriving later this week, so I can get back in practice with those as well. Gymnastics meet season is about to start, so I'll be chronically short on sleep on weekends for the next couple months. Worth it, though, because my girls have been working hard and I expect they'll have a fantastic season. I'm about halfway through another playthrough of the ME trilogy. Occasional games of Dota (usually with either ffmusicdj or relyance or both). Planning an Aperture Laboratories test subject cosplay for Halloween and MAGfest. Annoyed that International Talk Like a Pirate Day and National Gymnastics Day happen to fall on the same day this year. That's about it. What's up with you?
  15. I like the feel overall, and I especially like the mandolin. I feel like it needs more variation. Perhaps have the harp trade off with some other lead instrument (a whistle or an accordion would be the first things I'd try). Also, the bass and rythm guitar feel a bit too samey throughout; a section in the middle where one or both drop out for a more exposed lead solo could work well to break that up. I also feel like it needs some higher-end percussion to balance out the bodhran, which is mostly mid and low end. A simple shaker would probably be all you'd need. All in all, it just needs more variation. An acoustic, folksy song like this needs to breath, and this one sounds a little stale by the end. It's an excellent start, though!
  16. Arrangement is really nice, but what really takes it to the next level is the tones! Both the Rhodes and the guitar sound fantastic, as is the guitar solo.
