  1. Got my iron cross again (though not as solid as it was in my competitive days). Close to getting the maltese back; my goal is to get my Nakayama (pull from back lever to iron cross) consistent by the end of the year; I haven't done one in at least a year and a half, though it was my favorite strength move back when I was still seriously training rings. My planche is still as strong as ever; I never seem to lose that skill no matter how little I train it.
  2. How am I only just now discovering this mix? Quite possibly the most relaxing piece of music I've ever heard
  3. After several months of slacking, I'm going to try to pick back up on rings-based strength. I can still do a planche on floor (though not very well on rings anymore). Still can do a back lever, and a very short front lever. But I've most lost my cross, maltese, and nakayama; I'm going to make it a goal to get all three back by this time next year.
  4. [/thread] apparently "[/thread]" is one cthulhudevoured character too short
  5. Count me hopefully in to hang out in San Francisco or San Jose
  6. Only just started, but loving it so far.
  7. Reapers are broken; I fully expect them to be nerfed in later patches. I still hate protoss (both playing as and playing against) every bit as much as I did on WoL. Zerg, though. Zerg is damn fun.
  8. Thoughts on the single player campaign: The campaign is way too easy, and the writing is painfully bad.
  9. Why do you always have the best sigs?

Also, is that you in your sig?

  10. OH SHIT I REMEMBER THAT GAME! I haven't played it in years, but I seem to recall really enjoying it.
  11. That's.... a really clever double entendre
  12. Just played through it yesterday, and my reaction can best be summarized as follows: meh. Characters were flat and uninteresting, music all sounded the same, controls were clunky. The plot in general was fantastic, but the game really did not live up to its potential.
  13. Ok, one more from ME3: I recently did a playthrough where I did not broker peace between the Quarians and the Geth, but rather saved the Quarians and let the Geth die. Oh. My. Cthulhu. "Does..... this.... unit... have...." I cried like a fucking baby.
  14. Mass Effect 2. When I first played the original Mass Effect, I couldn't get into it at all. Everything about it was clunky and awkward. The voice acting, the equipment menus, the controls, everything. When I picked up Mass Effect 2, I found that literally ALL of these issues had been fixed. The engine, the menus, the voice acting, the body language of the characters, EVERYTHING was so much tighter and more fluid and more natural, and so I could really get into the game. I loved it so much that I went back and gave ME1 another try, and finally finished it, and even though I still don't actually like ME1, I'm glad that ME2 convinced me to give it another go and see it all the way through, if only so I could have Wrex alive in ME2 and ME3. Also, I fucking loved ME3. Fuck the haters; a half hour of mediocre writing at the end does not in any way devalue the 20 hours of fantastic writing and gameplay that precedes it.
  15. Sexiest bass line I've ever heard right here.
  16. Might have to join y'all on this thing. I've been slacking WAAAAAY off since retiring from competition, and while I don't think I'll be competing again, I want to get back in that kind of shape.
