I'm working on shinedashing. I can occasionally pull off an effective two- or three-hit shinedash, but I'm not consistent enough to chase somebody all the way accross the screen with it a la zelgadis. I'm working on it, though. What's L-cancelling? EDIT: I thought you didn't even want to bother with that sort of play. Edit: Try using R. Hey, I said I was messing around just to see if I could. And I did try R. Doesn't help. I've gotten to about a 33% efficiency rate with the L button though. There's no way I'd ever try playing someone with this technique. I find it much easier with R. I normally shield and dodge with L, but I wavedash with R.

Haha, I remember when Kyle came to me asking me to do a mix of this song for the project. I must say, after hearing this, I'm glad Dave got it; this mix is absolutely amazing.

Fuck you, Dave. You have to release what sounds like it's probably an awesome mix when I can't listen to it. Hopefully I'll have my setup back together tomorrow and be able to listen.

As I have (I think) mentioned to some of you already, I think we may end up having to allow multiple arrangements of some songs, since it's such a short soundtrack. EDIT: also, I'm still not entirely sure I want to redo Canvas; It's a really great source, and I think a lot could be done with it that we didn't do in Canvas due to blending it with Relm's theme.

We'd been planning the project itself for awhile; I only got the idea for the collab project shortly before I posted it in the xenogears project thread. Ran the idea past Brad and he liked it, so we decided to go with it.

RADICAL DREAMERS PROJECT Progress:

Right off the bat, this sounds pretty cool. Samples are nothing mind-blowing, but they're used well, and the soundscape is really neat. I'd make some more changes to that background when the percussion and guitar come in, though; you have a nice into/buildup, but then when it hits the transition into the main mix, nothing really changes aside from the addition of bass, percussion, and guitar. I sorta want there to be more punch in the transition, more distinction between the intro and the main mix.

I always love your stuff. Really pretty soundscape. Strings are a bit faux at the beginning, but not enough to detract from the mix. The organ (if that's what it is) sounds really nice. The delicate crystaline leads are very well done. With the right vocals, this piece could be absolutely amazing.

Absolutely amazing piece. The blend of ethnic and trance elements is unique and brilliantly executed. Definitely among my favorites.
