  1. The project forum. Ask me or the prophet for the address next time you catch one of us on AIM or MSN.
  2. Haha, I remember when Kyle came to me asking me to do a mix of this song for the project. I must say, after hearing this, I'm glad Dave got it; this mix is absolutely amazing.
  3. Fuck you, Dave. You have to release what sounds like it's probably an awesome mix when I can't listen to it. Hopefully I'll have my setup back together tomorrow and be able to listen.
  4. Of course he's going to say that about all of them, he's the diplomat of this shindig. Doesn't mean it isn't true (though actually I haven't heard Danny's mix yet)
  5. I think we can answer them. But let's not. Or at least check with Andy first
  6. Hehe, actually, it'd be pretty funny to have another one-song flood for Radical Dreamers, especially since it's basically an alternate arrangement of the same song as the original flood.
  7. I guess we still need to wait for confirmation from Brad on this, but I have no problem whatsoever with multiple covers of the same track, and I especially like Doug's take on it.
  8. Haha! Damn, I've wanted to do a mix of this with lyrics forever, and I really like the direction you're going with this. However, please don't publicly post anymore WIPs.
  9. Let's collab, doug. EDIT: actually, I'm already collabing with Ross on Star-Stealing Girl; I don't want to steal all the good tracks from the other vets, so if anybody other vets want to collab on this with DrumUltimA, I have no objections.
  10. As I have (I think) mentioned to some of you already, I think we may end up having to allow multiple arrangements of some songs, since it's such a short soundtrack. EDIT: also, I'm still not entirely sure I want to redo Canvas; It's a really great source, and I think a lot could be done with it that we didn't do in Canvas due to blending it with Relm's theme.
  11. We'd been planning the project itself for awhile; I only got the idea for the collab project shortly before I posted it in the xenogears project thread. Ran the idea past Brad and he liked it, so we decided to go with it.
  12. Right off the bat, this sounds pretty cool. Samples are nothing mind-blowing, but they're used well, and the soundscape is really neat. I'd make some more changes to that background when the percussion and guitar come in, though; you have a nice into/buildup, but then when it hits the transition into the main mix, nothing really changes aside from the addition of bass, percussion, and guitar. I sorta want there to be more punch in the transition, more distinction between the intro and the main mix.
  13. I always love your stuff. Really pretty soundscape. Strings are a bit faux at the beginning, but not enough to detract from the mix. The organ (if that's what it is) sounds really nice. The delicate crystaline leads are very well done. With the right vocals, this piece could be absolutely amazing.
  14. Absolutely amazing piece. The blend of ethnic and trance elements is unique and brilliantly executed. Definitely among my favorites.
  15. You're joking, right? This is far better than anything on Brink of Time. And no, that was not sarcasm, exaggeration [sic], or any other form of non-truth. dude all of Brink of Time was such a dissappointment, I was so pissed off by that. Fixed, and concurred.
  16. Even if it's a private vote, I would very strongly oppose the idea.

  18. The thing is, we would still have to chose among n00bs who are decently skilled, and can demonstrate the fact. It would be completely doable, but I think we would have to have, rather than complete n00bs, people who have already demonstrated their mixing abilities, but have not gotten posted yet. SirRus, Ellywu, LAOS, kung-fu chicken, etc. If we could gather enough interest among both the necessary n00bs and veterans, it could work really well, though, I think. In fact, I may even run the idea by Brad for our upcomming proj -- OSHITS!
  19. It's a unique idea, but one I very strongly oppose. For one, projects always have enough drama without intentionally inserting more competition. For another, which mix is "best" is completely subjective. Your idea is more or less a series of project-endorsed "favorites" threads. For a third, covering each track twice would be too big a project; if you've followed other projects, you'll know that it's a huge undertaking as-is; if you take that and all-out double it, it's never gonna see the light of day. For a fourth, n00bs of antisheep's calibur are in extremely short supply; what would most likely happen is that the veteran would win on almost every single vote, and I think some n00bs would find that discouraging. I think it would be a far better idea for each veteran on the project to choose a n00b to collab with, take under his/her wing so to speak, and the two produce one track together. However, as one who has done many collabs, including some collabs with n00bs that never saw the light of day, I can tell you that this would be a logistical nightmare as well, and I can't say I'd throw much support behind that either.
