I absolutely love this project. Crash + Restore, Of Sea and Fire, Zeno Paradox, and Binary Chain are mind-blowingly brilliant. I could listen to those four tracks on repeat all day. EDIT: also, another track worth mentioning: oinkness's. There are indeed some production issues, but I love the arrangement, and the lyrics are right in the middle of that so-cheesy-it's-awesome zone.

Either Sabin from FF6 or my RenFaire character (by whose name I am now more widely known than by my own) I was considering going as Heath Ledger, by wearing a Joker costume but with leather pants and a cowboy hat, but I think that might be a bit too edgy to wear to work.

Ok, so here's the plan: I get off work at 2:30. From there, I'll go to pick up salluz, and probably get back to my place around 3:15-ish. If you are getting in before 3:15, plan on hanging around a bit before I get there. If you head from my place back out to Jones Franklin road and take a left, you'll find a really great sandwich shop called Jack Daniels (I reccomend the southwestern wrap). Head the other way on Jones Franklin and take a right on Crossroads blvd, and you'll find a shopping center with, among other things, a decent musical store. Call me if you need more detailed directions or other ways to kill time (though I probably won't answer before 2:30)

Salluz, will you be needing a ride from the bus station? Also, EVERYBODY BRING BLANKETS AND SLEEPING BAGS. It's getting fucking cold, and anybody who spends the night will be sleeping on the floor (though you're also welcome to fight over the sofa).

As much as he was bashing this game, it actually sounds like it would be loads of fun to sit around thinking up things to ask for to see how the game will handle it.

Ok, I think I'm gonna start with the appalachian approach and see where it takes me. May end up throwing in some of the more irish stuff as well, if that's where it ends up going.

So I'm looking at two possible directions for Farewell Song, two different styles of folk ballad. I'll let Rozo make the call on which one I try first. My original plan was to make it a slow and moody appalachian ballad, modelled closely after Ashokan Farewell However, I've also been toying with the idea of making it a quicker, more irish-influenced ballad, something like

I don't actually need anything as formal as what Brad's describing, but generally I don't release videos of my kids publicly unless I have express consent from them and their parents.
