Just got back from seeing it in 3d. Takes awhile to get used to, but once you're used to the 3d.... holy fucking shit. It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

"everything is going according to plan" "I should hope so.... for your sake...." This exchange made me want to stab the script writer repeatedly in the face. THe music is sort of hit and miss. There are a few points that are very well done, and a few that irritate me almost as much as some of the strained dialogue (particularly parts where they took tunes from the game but dumbed down the chord progression). EDIT: WHAT THE FUCK is there a cast list somewhere? One of the actors looks EXACTLY like an old friend of mine...

Jill's credited as a background singer, and there are more than 3 lead singers in Mado Kara Mieru. And Jill is, I believe, fluent in Japanese.

Droning bass synth is very thin at the beginning. I'd experiment with effects and see if you can get a richer sound (chorus, flange, perhaps even a delay; you probably won't want all of these, but experiment with them individually) I love the other synths. The transition into hothead bop feels awkward. Doesn't feel like there's a logical flow between the two tracks. The bass in this section sounds like it has a little too much edge, a little too much grit, and I can't hear the actual pitch well enough.

I am already well known as a nerd at work. I've gotten several of my students interested in OCR, and I have, on occasion, worn OCR shirts to work. I also have a number of students doing floor routines to OCR tracks this year, including passing of the blue crown, slick rippin keen, groove sweet groove, duck and cover, chocobo!, skyline, and Zoola's mix from the DKC2 project.

One friend to the forums (though she seldom ever posts these days) and several of my students to the music.

The website isn't done yet. There may be some other stuff (ie setting up mirrors, torrents, etc), but I think either Wes or Larry is handling that. And there's the 3 uncompleted mixes. I think that's it.

So you know: This project almost certainly will not be ready for release on the 11th. It will very likely be ready for release within the next month, though.

Jill, what tracks are you on for this? One of the voices in Mado Kara Mieru sounds a lot like you, but I can't tell for sure.
