  1. If you can give me instructions on how to hook a SNES control up to my comp, I'll do it. I imagine some manner of USB device must exist that would do it, but I don't know what that would be or where to get it.
  2. There was a remix in the gamecube version? I don't remember that. Anyway, yes, the title theme from Waverace is definitely one of my favorite tunes.
  3. Whoah, I didn't even know they were back together. AWESOME! I love Evanescence.
  4. Percussion is a rather annoying loop, not enough variation. Lead tone is too similar to rythm tone; make them stand out more, either by using a more cutting tone on the lead, a less present tone on the rythm, or by simply making the leads louder. Or better yet, some combination of the three. The actual performance, though, is excellent. Great writing and execution on the solos. I love the lead work, and I wish I could hear it better.
  5. Whatever the case, it was a very memorable moment. By far the best part though was how they were chillin' at the bar together the following night.
  6. Absolutely. What was best was when they first shook hands. Jake walked into the room without knowing dave was there, Dave didn't realize jake had walked in, but EVERYBODY else knew. The room went briefly silent, then immediately there was a buzz of murmering and whispering from everybody in the room. We even sent Jill to the other side of the room so she could take a picture that might include both of them. It ended up being unnecessary; the two eventually shook hands, and immediately the room erupted in applause. We'll post pics. As far as I can tell, their feud appears to be over. Huzzah!
  7. OMGOMGOMGOMG The prophet is going to ride in my car. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG ... Anyway, we're leaving. Last post before MAG, w00t!
  8. Holy fucking shit. The boss of the snowy mountain mansion... that has got to be the coolest fucking boss entrance ever.
  9. Just find one of us and we can introduce you to the others.
  10. I wouldn't mind a new sig. Something to do with guitars (preferably acoustic). If it could somehow be given a celtic feel that would be cool, though it's not absolutely necessary, and I don't know how you'd accomplish that visually. It's a minor thing, so if you don't have any immediate ideas for how to do it, don't worry about it. No text other than "Geoffrey Taucer." Font should be relatively plain.
  11. omgomgomgomgomg. Brad comes over the day after tomorrow. We leave for MAG the next morning omgomgomgomgomg
  12. Gah! I'm stuck in the lakebottom temple. Can't figure out where the hell to go. Anyway, this game is fucking amazing. One of the best games I've ever played, if not THE best.
  13. The best girlfriend in the world is never more than an arm's length away.
  14. Haha, sorry about that. It didn't take us that long to notice you weren't there, but then Bren said he remembered seeing you in Barnes & Noble, so we spent a lot of time searching there.
  15. Rail and Koala. All you need to know. And LuiZa And Pixietricks Though neither of them is available Yeah, and even if we were, I think we're in a different category than those two. A less... "outgoing" one. Still, wingless, if it'll entice you to come, I promise to give you a sweet little peck on the cheek.
  16. A preamp is more specialized. And more pricey. A standalone mic preamp generally give you a lot more versatility on one or two mic channels, but from what I've seen, a good mic preamp with more than one input will probably cost $mucho. A mixer is basically used for signal routing; that is, plugging a bunch of line or mic inputs in and condensing them down to a single stereo output. Of course, you'll still need a soundcard with stereo input usually, though some (but not many) mixers these days also have USB output. My advice would be to try the stuff you already have first; you got that m-audio interface and the two mics, right? See how they work. The alternative will cost more. If you do end up sending the USB audio interface back, my advice to you would be to grab a mixer (behringer is a good low-end brand, mackie is a good high-end brand) and an e-mu 0404 audiocard.
  17. Andy, do you have your strat at your house? Also, to those of you comming first to Port Authority: what time do you expect to get there? I'll be getting there around 11:30, so if you're comming in to Port Authority, give my cell a call sometime tomorrow after 10:00 am, and we can figure out if/where/when we'll meet before heading off to Grand Central.
  18. Teaching and critiquing are not necessarily the same thing. Nevertheless, if you think you can write a tutorial on arrangement, feel free -- I'd definitely be curious to see how you approach it, and if you do it any differently than I do.
