Street Fighter 2 > Turbo > Super > etc. I don't see why you prefer the Genesis version though - It had an extra mode or two, but the graphics and sound were so much crappier. I'm no mixer, but I am a composer, so I'd like to give my opinion - I think that synth-pop might not work this one, because synthpop is generally repetitive and simplistic - The Brinstar theme just doesn't seem to work with it. Maybe, if you used a more bouncy beat as opposed to the war-drum beat that the theme normally uses, you might be able to do something impressive. But, don't get discouraged. It's just one man's opinion.

Hey man, no offense really. I agree with you to some degree - The violence is getting a bit old- My real point is that (from what I've heard) is that the game is going to be really cool and stand out amongst Wii games because it actually implements the controls in unique (and very violent) ways. So yeah, I'm just ruffling your feathers while I have the chance. And for your other comment - I definitely wouldn't want to play a rape game, but I wouldn't mind something like the Dead or Alive on the Wii console.

Okay, lets play some more half-ass mini-game comp or go on a picnic with Mary Poppins. I normally laugh at all of these violent games (especially with RockStar's cheap approach to recycling things for most of their games), but it looks like they had good plans for this game and that it effectively utilizes the abilities of the Wii controller. Oh well.

I figured out a really easy way to take out Balrog on Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Just duck when he does his dash punch and use two weak kicks and then a strong kick (ducking). So yeah, I've figured out that weak punches and kicks are great for setting up stronger attacks. Is anybody good with Zangief? I love how he has so many throwing moves on the Turbo version. By the way, Sagat is the easiest boss ever.

Well, if you based your assumptions off of a previous pattern (yoshi music and then yoshi stage), then we would get a Metroid stage or character because of Ridley's theme. But that's by assuming that the updates follow a pattern, which I am unsure of.

Exactly, like the downright lowly things that developers are doing with the 360 - releasing unfinished games, charging for additional content, etc. Oh, the horror. Anyway, I think that there will be a lot of new characters (amongst other new things)on this game. After, all , this is a new Smash Brothers game, not just a Madden NFL update. Although none of us can truly confirm Ridley at this time, it is more likely than not that he will be there.

I wonder if Nintendo might create additional characters and allow them to be downloaded after the game is released?

I'll give Umbrella Chronicles a try, but I hope it's not too shallow. On-rails shooters tend to get old pretty quick.

I have Super Mario 2 on NES, SNES (part of the Mario Allstars game), on the game gameboy advance (Super Mario Advance 3, I think), and I have it on an emulator on my machine. I prefer the original NES version, because that's the one in which my nostalgia is associated with.
