  1. Good deal dude. To be honest it was the rum in my system this time. Maybe you're Fry and I'm an angry pirate. Glad we're all buddies though.
  2. Sorry about being a turd-knocker last night. My bad Brandon.....Anyway, picked up Kirby's Dreamland 3. Great co-op game.
  3. Okay. Sorry about that man.
  4. says dude who trolled the Wii U thread for like forever, yeah whatever dude.
  5. After all of the trolling and negative press Nintendo fans have dealt with since November, I think we've earned the right to. At least we're doing it in our thread instead of logging onto the x-box thread and hating over there.
  6. It may just be a flash in the pan, but just from checking out all of the response it seems that there were a lot of users holding out to see what microsoft and sony were offering. I'm not trying to be a hater, but it is nice to see that Nintendo aren't the only ones receiving flack now and it is nice to see that people will take interest in Nintendo's system. The Wii U immediately became a more attractive investment within a few days. No I'm not saying that the Xbox one is garbage, but it does make the other consoles more attractive than they were before, although we'll have to wait for Sony's drm and full reveal, as well as prices. It's just interesting to see the new console war shaping up, and the next few weeks should be entertaining.
  7. http://wiiudaily.com/2013/05/wii-u-sales-increase-in-uk/ Alright Nintendo. You have two weeks to set up your counter-attack. Now's the time.
  8. Nintendoland is fun as hell. "Where's the online play?" That is a valid criticism. You're just trolling B-man. You need a girlfriend or something dude.
  9. You know ocre, these guys are right. Let's trade in our Wii U's and the games we bought so we can upgrade the video cards in our pc's. Just kidding. I don't think the Wii U is perfect. Obviously, like any console, it has many flaws that will be addressed over the coming years (red ring of death anyone???) But it comes down to this: Nintendo still has wicked IP. If you want access to Nintendo's ip, you're going to have to buy their consoles to play their games. You can pretend there is some fantasy land in which Nintendo gives up and develops its games for whatever you personally deem to be the "alpha console". But too bad. This is reality. Even if Nintendo games would be better if they gave out, they're not going to, at least until their bank is dry, and I've been told that Nintendo has enough to make three or four failed consoles in a row and bounce back. You want home console Mario Kart? You want Zelda? You want Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2? Oh wait...You want Sonic? You're going to have to buy a damn Wii U to get it. I'm not going to try and convince any of you that you should buy a Wii U. In fact, I told my brother-in-law to wait until this fall when there is a greater selection of games. But the truth is, you can log on here and complain and troll all day, and it isn't going to change anything. There's a difference between calling Nintendo out for their screw-ups and deliberately acting like a turd-muffin. But that's what the negative hype-train is all about, isn't it? I'm not going to let it upset me. It's a video game console. I have bigger problems. I have to watch over fifteen different windows and linux servers tomorrow. I will most likely get cursed at or screamed at tomorrow for things that I cannot control. But I digress - It really isn't about Nintendo. It's about respect. And I just think that some of you people need to mellow out, and quit hating so much. We know Nintendo isn't perfect, but it's a part of my childhood, a part of who I am, and I vouch that many others can say the same. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I personally don't like Sony consoles. Do I hate Sony? No. Sony is a company. Hired by people who make money and raise families and buy groceries. If someone bought me a PS4, would I sell it? No. I would keep it, and I would try out a few of the games. Would I troll Sony threads like a 16-year-old with a tiny penis? No I wouldn't. But if you feel the need, troll on. It's just some video games and this is just a forum that wouldn't be the same without Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Amiga, Commodore, or your Mom and Dad acting like whores. Man this is a good beer.
  10. A little of topic here, maybe, but I'm really hoping for a Super Monkey Ball on Wii U. Monkey Ball games always get mixed reviews but they're friggin' awesome. Okay - back to topic. I just wanted to add that.
  11. All of this Nintendo hate makes me want to go buy more Nintendo games.
  12. This should make you feel better:
  13. They did a bangup job with Sonic Colors and Sonic Racing in my opinion, but yeah they're not exactly the best in the biz anymore. Although I would love to see them do something with Streets of Rage, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, Shinobi, etc.. Probably not going to happen but seeing Sega, out of all the publishers out there (and once Nintendo's greatest rival) come to help out Nintendo...It warms my nerd heart.
  14. Ha ha. No, I meant that virtually anything can be deconstructed and pulled into a negative light if one tries hard enough. Personally I think Nintendo got the slap they deserved and they're going to get it right this year. Only time will tell.
  15. Brandon, I like you, but Super Metroid? C'mon dude. That's still one of the best speed-running games out there. For 33 cents as well. I'm starting to think that someone could bring you a brand new Corvette filled with bikini models and stacks of money, and you would still complain. I'm not mad at you, but LOL. Anyway, looks like Nintendo does have a plan for not hosting a main show at E3. http://kotaku.com/nintendo-re-writes-rules-of-e3-letting-the-public-play-508197374 (I know it's Kotaku. Sue me)
  16. Soooooo..... Sega just announced a Sonic exclusive for Wii U and 3DS, Wonderful 101 is dated for September, Super Luigi U is releasing as dlc for early Summer and stand-alone in August. And a Nintendo direct is coming on in about half an hour, so hopefully some bigger news shortly. Anyway, it's nice to see Sega teaming up with Nintendo again. Perhaps they will work with Nintendo again of F-Zero? I know, I'm pissing in the wind.
  17. I think people will take notice when the new Mario Kart drops this year. A refurbished Kart with a real online network, full video, full voice chat, true 1080p. Yeah, the Wii version has sold like 33 million globally, so if people don't care then, then maybe we have a problem. Throw in Nintendo's other ip with the same features, especially less-used ip like Star Fox and F-zero, people will take notice. 1080 p 16-player online Star Fox with voice chat and video? Yeah, people will give a crap. I know people who haven't touched a Nintendo product since the N64 who would buy that day one. So yeah, the Wii U is sucking pretty hard, but I'm holding on to mine as I get the feeling the company is starting to get it together. 3rd party support could still use a lot of work though, although I love how indie developers are gravitating to the system.
  18. If you're a fan of Hale Berry, then I guess it's not so bad. To each his own I guess.
  19. Legend is frigging awesome. Time Bandits is pretty cool too. Definitely not triple A movies but that doesn't make them bad. Now, I'll tell you what's bad. Catwoman. My older brother gave me the DVD. I watched it with my wife and we chuckled for the first half hour. Then it got stale really quick and we barely finished it. I don't know if I still have it as I have tried to get people to take it as they came over to my house.
  20. Bible Adventures on NES and Troll 1 and 2 on a dual-sided DVD.
  21. Forgot one - Thanatos' palace in Secret of Mana. The music, the level, the enemies, the boss. Creepy as hell. All of it. The music sounds like a nursery rhyme from the 7th layer of hell.
  22. The body weapon boss from Shinobi 3. The stage pretty much is him, just guts everywhere, he rises up from a sea of guts throughout the stage to attack you from the background, and when you finally get to him, he takes up a good portion of the screen. Also, Robo-Corpse from Contra 3. Contra 3 has a lot of scary bosses, but Robo-Corpse takes the cake. A boss that literally rips through the background to make his entrance, and he's just a lifeless, robotic beast that thinks of nothing but death. To Meteo Xavier - I always thought 7th Saga was creepy too. I've never played it. I just used to watch my older brother play and it just creeped me out.
