  1. This is awesome work. Great attention to detail and subtlety. I can't say a whole lot that hasn't been said already, accept that I do partially agree with those who did write negative feedback (and props to Adhesive Boy and endblink who are able to go against the crowd and voice their opinion). I was left during the whole song waiting for a more "meaty" I guess, melody or instrument to pick up the melody. But I understand that this is a really chill piece, so it is quite forgiveable because it does the chill part so well. If you never improved and kept making songs of exactly this quality, I would still be happy with your work. Great job. yayay
  2. Diggin this tune. While I'm pretty "meh" about the actual melody part of the song (decent, not terribly interesting), I like how this song is giving the vibe, "Yeah, this is VERY electronic, and if you don't like it, you can ____" The coolest part for me, is at 1:28 where it gets all ambient and chill. It's a nice contrast. The ending is a bit whacko though. I was totally expecting something electronic, but I get some brass upwards roll thang that sounds totally out of this style. Pretty abrubt, too. But otherwise, great work. MMmm. Crunchy.
  3. Quality stuff here. Nothing I don't like. Sounds good. I like the pause. Nice work.
  4. DJP said it all real well. This song fits together nicely. It's catchy, upbeat, and enjoyable. No strings or "real" samples, just straight up juicy electronic sounds. Coolness. Nice job, Zeratul.
  5. Neato. I like that synth sound with the bell at the beginning. My favorite part is the section at 2:34. Some real interesting sounds going on in there along with some really neat drums. You did great drum programming overall, but the actual samples used lack punch and you’ve kept all the drums pretty quiet. Maybe that was intended to keep the focus on the musical part of the mix. I can’t decide if it’s a plus or minus for me. Great work on this, however.
  6. Diggin this. Many interesting sounds are being used. You guys know how to use drums well and included a sweet guitar and cool solos. I love the ending. Awesome work!
  7. I'm much better at commenting on electronic stuff, but this is really freakin awesome. Super-duper samples. Super arrangment. It sounds really epic. Diggin the chorus samples. Great song choice. Congrats on kicking ass.
  8. Hey-I use a cs1x too! Neato. Nice job on this mix. Nice and chill, groovy, catchy. I enjoyed it.
  9. Hey-sweet job. This is probaly Mitsuda would have made this sound if he didn't have to make this for the snes sound hardware. Nice work. Very professional.
  10. NICE. I love how this remix is so different from the original. Everything has been said already, so I'll just add, "Nice work".
  11. Not sure what to say here, other than this is great. I can't imagine how it could be any better. Awesome guitar playing and recording. It really fits in well and sounds great. Very impressed. Make some more!
  12. I'm diggin this. Nice smooth, flowning drumbeat, interesting instruments. The synths that come in about halfway through are really cool sounding and add some sweet texture to the tune. This is really neato sounding and done really well. Only thing was the kinda cheap sounding flute sample used. Everything else used is real high quality and the flute sound kinda stands out. Not a large problem, though. Very cool. Nice work.
  13. In the beginning, I love the piano, whispering, and the strings....nice, atmospheric. I'm thinkin this will be awesome. Then the drums and bassline bust in: sweet! I can see this going places. Bassline is kickin and the drums are sweet. String parts sound real good too. This is quality throughout. But, during the second half of the song, I keep expecting it to get a bit more badass. I get a little tired of the main melody also. A section with just the bass, drums, and electronic sounds would break stuff up a bit and probably contribute to the badassness of the song. Is it just me, or is the song a bit too loud? Bass drum hits kinda sound messed up. Could be just me. Super good, quality stuff here though. Nice work.
  14. Probably the most creative thing I've heard in a long time. It all fits together so well. Congrats. Awesome ending. Damn. Good.
  15. First off, don't like the full guitar panning and I think it's a bit out of tune. Other than that, I'm loving this stuff! Sweet synth, sweet bassline, sweet beats. This is done really well and is very very enjoyable. Keep it up!
  16. Hmmm. I like. All the samples are nice n smooth. The wind sounds work well, and I like the drums that come in right after. The ending is great; it makes it sound epic and leaves a great impression. Only thing I don't like is the muted trumpet. Super good job!
  17. AAAHhhh. Chill and atmospheric. This is done very well and very professionally. Great samples used for the instruments and great arrangement. I'm having trouble saying anything else about this other than that there is nothing bad about this mix. This is great ambient stuff done really well that makes me feel like I'm someplace else. Great work! Lookin forward to more!
  18. Avien shows some great skillz! Awesome orchestration (mostly band, instruments, however), and great instrument samples! There's a lot of good stuff to say about this and people have already said it, so I'll comment on what could be improved. The ending climax is done well, except for the drum samples used. The crash sound is pretty weak, and the final crash at the end is REALLY weak and kinda sounds out of place. Also the final "stinger" note at the end of the piece does not have enough attack. The ending seemed a little less climatic than it could have been. Awesome work on everything else, however!
  19. This quite repetitive and boring up untill 1:42 when the main melody comes in. This is a pretty bare-bones trance mix with simple sounds that sound almost like this could have been a midi file. It's got a weird ending and the drums are sooo boring and weak. The melody makes it enjoyable, however. Decent stuff.
  20. I'm sitting here writing this review while listening to the song and eating creamsavers. I'm getting a totally smooth, creamy, sweet, buttery vibe from both the song and the candy. Well done and seriously laid back this mix is. I liked the strings towards the end of the song; they added a bit more energy. Sweet stuff.
  21. This is beautiful. I haven't actually played Morrowind, but my brother got it and I watched him play a while. It's got real nice music that repeats a lot. I can't say if I heard this before, but it sounds familiar. The samples used in this mix are quality throughout, the pauses in the music are used to great affect, and the ambience sounds used are awesome. I love the bells in the beginning and the rain samples at 2:30; they just totally transport me into the world of Morrowind. Music and games that can do that to me are awesome in my book. Super stuff. Download if you enjoy music.
  22. I have mixed feelings about the intro. On one hand, it's kinda out of place in a mix like this and the violin patch used bugs me, but on the other, its interesting, amusing, and Gecko Yamori gets to show off some jazz knowledge/skills. I think I like it. The real meat of this mix is done well. The song is structured well with good builds, some cool drum fills. The bassline is fast and staccatto, keeping the intensity high. Good synths used throughout (I do like the synth used at 1:52, except maybe hold back on some of the panning going on). The ending seems a bit cut off. More time should be given for the instruments to fade off of the final note and a little silence given so the listener can reflect on the awesomeness they just heard before the song repeats again or the next song in the playlist starts up. Good stuff here. I like.
  23. I love this track! The two best elements of this track for me are the AWESOME synth lead, and the great drums. It's all put together well on top of the orchestral part of the song. I think it should be a bit longer, however (what's with all these short tracks? Seems like I (and others) say this a lot in reviews). Otherwise, very cool stuff. Gimme more.
  24. This is a very good mix. I'm not familiar with the original tunes, but this stands by itself very well. Great drum programming that's kept interesting with effects and changes like at 2:20 is consistent throughout. This is good trance/techno stuff that keeps itself from being terribly predictable. The synth used for the lead melody is great and fits right in. Great stuff from Ryza.
  25. Hhaha awesome!! The cellphone is great. Guitars are played very well. I enjoy listening to this. I like the backwards guitar recording effect used once in a while. Awesome.
