The only other one I know of is "Erana's Peace - Lamenting Guitars Mix" by MusicallyInspired over on VGMix.

The only way i'll be able to submit my work is if i have it in MPEG4 audio instead of MP3 layer, any help that anyone can give me?
In terms of file size, there's not going to be any difference between an M4A and an MP3. An MP3 encoded at, say, 128 kbps will be the same size as an mpeg4 audio file encoded at 128 kbps (give or take a few bytes). The benefit to using MPEG4 is that it's more efficient than MP3: a low bitrate M4A file will typically sound better than an MP3 with the same bitrate.
How long is the song you're trying to compress? Unless it's extremely long, there's no reason why you can't meet the filesize requirements.
EDIT: If you can't get it to work out, send me a WAV copy and I can compress it to OCR standards for you.

YE SHALL RECEIVE!
Fairly nice version done by JMR.

Haha, you beat me to it.

Again, that sounds eerily similar to the issue I was having. If I tried to manually re-align two recorded clips, they'd only stay in line for about 10 - 15 seconds before becoming completely out of sync....nor does it keep a constant pace.Have you tried using ASIO4All yet?
-
A couple ideas came to my mind.. the first was wiring a second battery in parallel.. somehow... while I take the dying one out. That way there is a constant source of power. Does that seem viable?
That sounds like it'd work fine, as long as the power source remains constant.
Or maybe I could get some black-market device to make a ROM image of this game?I think you might have your terminology confused. Making a ROM image won't backup your save file.
There ARE, however, third party devices and accessories that allow you to back up GB/GBC save files. I've had one of these for some time now, and it works pretty well.
You might want to check out this guide as well. It doesn't cover backing up your save file, but it's a fairly clear guide on how to replace the cartridge's battery.

I used to have the same trouble with my laptop. It too has a crappy Realtek audio device. Any time I'd attempt any form of multitrack recording, things would fall out of sync really quickly.
Try using ASIO4All. I'm not sure if it's supported by the software you're using, but it's worth a shot nonetheless. After tweaking the settings a little, all of my sync problems went away.

Since almost nobody in the world deliberately codes for compatibility with Opera, I'll bet this is simply an Opera problem, but just for giggles. Here's The OCR homepage in Opera:
Looks like this became a Firefox problem too. That's how the page looks in Firefox 3.0.

I envy you so much right now.I go see Rilo Kiley on Monday, Islands the week after, Wolf Parade at the end of July and The Faint mid-August. And I've already been to see Islands (back at school) and Wilco in the last couple months. -
Because he looks so damn happy.

Come on.. give it a chance! Just one listen through and you'll be hooked.
You know what... I might just sneak that one in, just to see the reactions!

I was just speaking to the dj I'll be filling in for, and it turns out that these weddings are not until mid July and early August, so I've got plenty of time to collect together some songs. Plus, there's one coming up soon that the dj will be in town for, so he said that I can stop by for a half hour or so, familiarize myself with his equipment, and generally get a feel for the job.
I appreciate all of the suggestions so far, guys. Thanks, and keep them coming!

Ask the wedding planner. It,s the best help I can give you, depending on the party they may want different genres, and it should be up to the wedding party to make that call.
The impression I was getting from the guy I was speaking to was that I would pretty much have free reign over what was played. He said that he has 2 - 3 CDs of stuff he regularly uses at weddings around here, but other than that, I have to decide.
Still, getting in touch with the families is a good idea. I don't really know all of the who, whats, wheres and whens yet, but I'll be speaking with the guy again this evening, so I'll find out then.
-
So, about 5 minutes ago, I told a local "dj" that I'd fill in for him and take care of the music for two upcoming weddings.
The thing is... I haven't been to a wedding reception since, like, forever, and I REALLY don't know that much when it comes to what music the average person listens to these days, much less what would be appropriate for a wedding reception.
If anyone could name a few of the more common wedding songs, and any other songs that would be appropriate (from OCR or otherwise), I'd greatly greatly GREATLY appreciate it.

I just emailed off my copy of the completed survey. Good luck with your study!

My sennheisers unplug from the headset themselves as well, so the cord is fully replaceable. They're HD590s. I'd double check for this first, since you may be able to just replace them with a straight thru audio cable.
Wow, I've never seen headphones like that. I definitely need to look for that feature the next time I shop for headphones.
I don't that that's an option for Gollgagh though, he said he has these.
-
I wouldn't recommend splicing the plug from a cheap set on to a decent set of headphones. While it WOULD work, chances are the plug you're attaching is poor quality and won't last long anyway.
Instead, buy a standalone replacement plug and solder that on to the cord. I've repaired a set of headphones using pretty much the same plug I linked above, and that plug lasted years longer than the original did.
As for whether or not you can connect the two grounds for the left and right channel: well duh! Standard headphone plugs only have one ground connection anyway.
Green is typically the left channel (tip of the plug), and red is usually the right channel (middle ring on the plug). The ground gets connected to the sleeve of the plug.
Another thing you might want to be careful of is the coating on the wires, specifically the red and green ones you mentioned. I'm not sure what Sennheisers are like, but some brand names have wires coated with some sort of lacquer rather than plain old insulation. From my experience, unless this coating is removed, you WON'T get a good connection. If you're patient, you can try scraping it off with a knife. (Depending on the quality / thickness of the wire, this can be very difficult to do without breaking the wires) If that doesn't work for you, you can just burn / melt it off with a soldering iron or lighter.

I know that Ryan (Random Hero) put together a WIP 5.1 mix of Battle of the Hylian Hero, but I don't know if he ever finished it. I might have a copy of it backed up somewhere, let me check around.
EDIT: No luck. The only backup I can find from that period only has a rough version of his Bad Fur Day remix from vgmix 2, and nothing newer. Unless Ryan still has a copy of it burned to a CD or something, I think it's lost for good.

It's funny that this topic should come up now... this weekend I have the projector from work home.
While full-wall gaming is indeed pretty ridiculously awesome, you need a really dark room or else everything looks really washed out and dark colors are difficult to see. Even in a completely dark room, the projector I have here (a Dell 2300MP, a quick glance online says it's ~$1200) still doesn't look that good when it comes to the dark colors, and I've tweaked all of the settings as much as possible.
That being said, anything with bright, vibrant colors looks alright. Playing Sonic the Hedgehog on a 2 meter wide screen is pretty fucking awesome.

I cannot figure out where (how) to buy this. And I need it.
It's on the limited edition of the album:

I'm only just starting to vote on the finals, but I must say that I'm enjoying this month's (non-OCR member) selection a bit more than lasts.

Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up [up]
is right. I never managed to get that one to work on the actual hardware.

Ahh. I knew it looked familiar, I just couldn't quite place it.Nope - it's New Super Mario Bros - the challenge mode code
That's not the game I had in mind. From what I've read, though it uses the same game engine, so you're close.Kid Icarus! But I can't remember what it's for...
It's the level select code from Sonic 3D Blast. Although, if you actually own the game, there's a much simpler way of accessing the level select:This reminds me of sonic for some reason, but I can't place what it is. -

As I alluded to in the thread title, the display on my Game Boy Advance (which I've had since it first came out) appears to be on it's last legs. It looks EXTREMELY washed out (well, moreso than usual) and only the most vibrant colors are visable.
I know that at this point I'm probably better of ditching the thing altogether, but I figured it'd be worth a shot to ask here; does anybody have any experience with this kind of problem, and if so, is it possible to repair it?
