  1. This was a good one indeed. I love how the drums are always mixed. Sounds like one of those drum and bass kind of songs. Nicely done. Aneurysm is one of my top favorites.
  2. Staff Battle has a good compilation of instruments and Nintendo synth styles. The bass line is awesome and the number of claps, snares and hats used is interesting. The only thing I'm not too keen about is the volume of that "Kiddie" snare (that's what the hip-hoppers call it). Yes, it's also repetive but really hip-hop has allot of repetitive tracks. Just listen to the 13 minute version of Rapper's Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang.
  3. This mix defines Mega Man 2 techno mixes. The distorted effects, and the synths that all mix to form an awesome combination. I love the bass solos, and the distorted sample that's straight from the Quickman level. What really stuck out was the panning sample at 3'20" that's straight from the game (You don't even need headphones to listen to it). That just blew the song from number 3 on my list to 1 on my list of top Overclocked Hits. Two Thumbs Up! I want more from the Evil Horde!!!
  4. Woah, there was a sample there ("Pump up the volume") That's used way way way too many times in many dance tunes. Other than that, the song's good.
  5. I do and don't like it. I'll start with why I don't like it. Mario's a classic KIDS game that ALL KIDS KNOW ABOUT. Any kid that's sheltered from sex before they're ten shouldn't download it. They'll ask why people are moaning and kissing in the background and what the joke is if their friends are laughing. I like it though because the arrangement's creative but not really suited for a porno movie.
  6. (HILARIOUS!) I love it! It's laugh out loud funny! I downloaded it at 5 AM this morning and it's just brutally laugh out loud funny! I woke up my mom while listening to it on headphones! Anyway, I'd say it was a very creative experimental drum and bass mix with samples from certain European comedy shows that I wouldn't normally watch every day. I love the hip hoppers' samples at 1'00" min. I'm not exactly sure I'd reccomend this one for raves, but if your in the mood for stupid South Parkish music (it's not polka, but it has the feel), download it. Oh yeah, I think they bumped the bit-rate up just to get you to think it was a really good remix They brainwash you saying, "If you have a 56k or 28k, the time is worth killing to get the song on your hard drive!" Peace out!
  7. This is one of my favorites from Scott Peeples! I love it, I love it, I love it! I had a whole bunch of friends listening to it the other day and they were surprised that this was even a Zelda remix. They thought it was a mainstream hit! I'd say it's very, very creative even though it could use a few more instrument parts. Very good 16th-beat tambourinish hi-hats! The e-piano chords, and the flute melody are awesome (gives an old school rapper "Bust a Move" kind of groove). But without the "wicka" guitar thang, this remix wouldn't have made it. The feel kind of reminds me of that really funky tune (not sure what it's called.) It goes like this: "Who's that man? Shaft!!!!" Anyway, this mix is a definite download and doesn't waste any hard drive space!
