  1. Hell with the extended deadline; I got other things to do. But I think this is fine, sampled sax notwithstanding. A WAV is in the PM if needed. A "Crateria space pirates" mix... Super Metroid - "Just How Deep"
  2. Mine's almost ready. How much the work will be polished will depend on how early I get up next morning.
  3. Ars Technica: no link to my site? FAIL. I probably prefer they didn't, however, because once again the next update will seem to have taken a full year when it finally does happen. (Soon, promise!)
  4. Oh, I'm in (gonna try, anyway). Just didn't get around to announcing. I was sorry to miss the Antigravity thing, so I've got to make time for Origins. I have some ideas, and I'll try my damndest to do Jilly justice.
  5. That one's screaming "MIDI rip." And yeah, he sounds like one of those unseen kids manipulating action figures in any toy commercial.
  6. "I know you guys are having fun (giggle), but could you stop a sec and tell me why I am involved with this?" I prefer to think the "actress" really said that about herself, and they just included it. That whole thing was a scream.
  7. We know that from your excellent MomUltima collab, which gets extra points just for the handle of "MomUltima." I just started my track, and I'm already well on the way. Guess you could call it sorta "chillout" with a heavy beat, Sweetback-style, Sweetback being the three guys from the Sade band who formed their own trio. I'll work on it some more at work tomorrow.
  8. Go to myspace and ask any teenage latina just how they can manage... it boggles my mind. I think I can make something happen with the "Crateria Space Pirates."
  9. It probably helps to announce which sources we pick. I finally picked a track, then realized a lot of us would be after the Brinstars. I don't think we'd wanna overload with the same melodies, so I'll pick something else.
  10. That's where myf's been hiding. Good to see he's still doing his thing. I should tell him I still have a Ryu verse I don't know what to do with. BTW, I've got something planned for OLR.
  11. I said I see nothing this month keeping me from coming. That's 4. Just like last time. Then we tell McVaffe to pick a date in future.
  12. There's not much in the way of OTAKON info yet, so any large update can wait. We need to at least see when the OCReMix panel takes place, and then schedule the big Meetup after that. I expect djlionzirkietricks are waiting for that info as well, perhaps then placing it in Announcements. Meantime, we can discuss travel and accomodations. I'll decide myself soon after I talk to several people.
  13. It could be the music's mood makes bLiNd happy. Hell, I love Luther Vandross, but his music depresses me after prolonged exposure. Anyway, the mixes don't have to sound somber. And thankfully we're not talking full-length tracks, so I'll see what I can do in a week. Hell, I did "Outerspacester" in two weeks.
  14. I'm thinking I can't hope to get ONE track done in a week, and wing's talkin' multiple! I'll try. I just realized: first track I listened to this morning on my Zen was "Urban Uppercut."
  15. Time is tight, people: only a month to go! I should talk... I only just remembered to renew my registration before the cutoff date. Unfortunately, it's as far as I got. My plans may be extremely last-minute depending on who's offering shack-up space - hotel or otherwise - who can drive me if there's a need (I can only give you gas, no ass or grass), and my cash flow situation. Now that the sponsored hotels at OTAKON are all sold out, how's everyone else situated, what are their plans, and who else needs help rooming up? I just remembered to give Don a call. Anyone remember how some of us had those OCReMix cards trimmed to fit in the rear of the OTAKON badge? Well, I'm silly enough to have my "membership card" design printed out on paper with my name on it this year, also for placing behind the badge. If djp's cool with it, I wouldn't mind doing the same for anyone else who's coming and asks for it. How 'bout it?
  16. All Best Wishes; Nothing But Hope. You guys start an e-anything for bLiNd, I'm in.
  17. I can't think of anything that'd be in the way from now till OTAKON (except lack of funds, of course), so I should be down for whatever weekend.
  18. Caressing my ball? Jesus... Nice action shot of Amy I; I was trying to capture something exciting like that.
  19. Next morning. Xerol was lapping after napping. Dave and his PSP. "Loco Roco" was the game. Amy entertained with her performance. Lovely. Wes on DS [correction - PSP]: Mega Man. Breakfast was kickass again. Seeya on the next meet!
  20. A friendly game of "..." what was it called again? Something to do with peasants and archbishops and stuff. I was king for one game; every other game I was pretty much Baldrick. pixie also played... ...along with Xerol and Vinnie, who kept winning... ...Amy did her thing, and Anna took Vinnie's crown and became drunk with power.
  21. Our combined light display could be seen as far as the next blade of grass. KulaKar reps OCR. Outside the Coldstone, enjoying dairy products. Ibid. We then headed back to homebase.
  22. Whatever works, right? Still, you had to see Wes' "police choke hold" technique. Kroze's was my favorite: his ball goes down the lane with NO SPIN on it WHATSOEVER. Barbecue. djp knows what wets his whistle. This grill became unusable after one session. Mizzu Supaakuru: AASOMMU PAAWAA!
  23. Finally, I'm relaxing and putting up pics. The usual exhaustion after a another great meet, made worse with that no-AC/traffic-laden/3hr. bus ride. Went right to sleep, then right to work in the morning. Dave's Rii-al bowling doesn't have flair of his Wii bowling. Dyne was damn good. pix eventually got the hang of things, while I got nice, then slumped; been out of practice for decades. Kats seems to be using an "imaginary-wiichuck" style.
