Something very similar happened to me. I was playing Half Life (I'm a compulsive saver, so I quicksaved before going around any corner) for about 12 hours straight and finally stopped to pee at 5:30AM. I get to the bathroom door and stand there for about 5 minutes waiting for the menu to pop up so I could save and it would be safe to open the door. I then realized what I was doing and promptly went to sleep. Yup. Me too. I did that to a stray cat... Let's see...I used to live near CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network). It was always spotlit at night. As I walked home it would slowly rise above the trees, so I used to think I was on my way to Dr. Wily's fortress.

I'm almost there again. I restarted because my fiance got a copy for her birthday. She was at the end too on my cart, so I decided to play on the new one. I love boss battles like that. Paper Mario 2 ended that way and I've never felt so...exhilarated after beating a boss. I can't wait to beat Final Fantasy III.

Shining Force 2 got bad reviews? I downloaded a ton of GBA roms not too long ago and that's the only bearable one. I love it. Is this the one that came out at the same time the movie where they get the ninja zords did? Because I rented that one and played it endlessly until it was time to return it. The ninja zord was the best. Also Dragon Crystal for Game Gear. Repetitive, confusing, and THE DRAGON DOESN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING EVEN THOUGH IT EVOLVES! Not to mention the ability to end your game if you pick up the wrong item. I love it though. Every so often I'll sink hours into this game.

So far my attitude towards Zelda games is a lot like my attitude for Hawthorne's writings: There are a few that have completely captivated me and made me strive through all the complication to get to the end, while there are others I just can't seem to get into and enjoy debating their meaning and significance far more than I do reading (or playing, in case of the games) them.

My cousins are really into this game, so I had a chance to play it over Thanksgiving. I made a troll rogue. Pros: The controls took a little getting used to, but once I did the fighting was rather enjoyable. I actually had to pay attention to what was going on, rather than point and click. I also liked the menu system for all the skills. (My cousin had a mod so all of his 50+ priest skills were on screen at once) I never got to see a raid, but those sound epic. Also if loot becomes easier to get in BC, that may get me into it. I like how the characters look when they get all their gear. Speaking of looks. Beautiful game. All the character models and environments I saw were great. It definatly helps me get into character. Cons: One of the things that really put me off though was the traveling. Like I said, I'm short on time. I want to play my game, not sit back and watch a bat's ass for 20 minutes while it flies across a continent. Also server stability was a big problem. In the short time I played with my cousins they were kicked twice and 3 of the servers were down. Verdict: Not really for me. It seems like a game that really favors the hardcore gamer. I just don't have the time to put into it for it to be worth my $15 a month.

This was pretty big news so I thought you guys had already heard about it. http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/20/wii-being-hit-by-fatal-error-110213-could-be-funky-firmware/ Apparently quite a few people are having this problem and Nintendo is sending out a lot of replacement Wii's. If you want to maintain your save data you have to send it in for repairs which will take a few weeks. This should be in the Wii thread but I wouldn't dare... It already is because it already happened to someone in there.

Wait, have there been any major hardware problems yet? Compared with the broken Xbox 360's and all the fried Wii's the PS3 is actually a much more solid machine this time around. The only thing that is a clusterfuck is supply and demand aspect of the launch. I really just hope nothing serious does happen. I want to get a PS3 eventually, so it needs to succeed so it's around when I finally have enough money to afford it and a HDTV.

*sigh* Jesus christ. How is the PS3 having even more problems than even I expected? I've always found the Sony to be a very solid bet for consoles. My PS2 is still invaluable to me because of the awesome games and it's DVD capability. What the hell has gone wrong with their company? Why is this such a huge cluster fuck?

Same here. Nice try though. Maybe one day there will be a console with a time machine in it so it will be forward compatible too.

Curses! I wish I had the time or money to do this. I'll have to try for next time.

*hands twitch* That $20 price tag on the first WoW are making it mighty tempting. I may overcome my dislike for subscription games for this one.
