  1. ps3 version has a higher rate of fail than the 360 version, by far. stick with the 360. my friend got it for ps3 and likes the controls of the 360 version, as well.
  2. mass effect, while feeling like a knockoff of KOTOR 1 and 2, was still an excellently done game that i felt was enjoyable, in all regards. the shooting was what put it apart, and that was my favorite part. by the end of the game, you can just rape anything in your path - it's awesome.
  3. chill pads do wonders, and they're like 20 bucks. beyond that? play in a well ventilated area (aka, not sitting on your lap).
  4. look into some of the good rpgs, like lost odyssey or something like that. xbox 360 should have been named fpsbox - unless you go the route of an action adventure title (GTA OMG GTA GTA GTA) then you're going to find that the haxbox shines at fps, and the other genres tend to be a little less loved.
  5. what types of video will play on the 360? i've got a bunch of stuff in matroska format (.mkv) and i'd like to be able to stream it...would i have to convert it to .avi or .wmv or something? how would i go about doing that?
  6. updated my old japon wip. PLEASE SOMEONE RECORD GUITAR FOR ME BY LIKE MONDAY SO I CAN PUT IT IN AND BE DONE JUST PM ME AND I'LL GIVE YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED. else i'm using the fake guitar lead i've got going on now.
  7. pyro is retardedly fun to play. i LOVE it. but the heavy's comments are way more awesome.
  8. did he report this on IRC before attending the hospital? best of luck for recovery for him...i should probably call him.
  9. my ping was hanging around 150 or so, but that's likely because of crappy port settings at college. come june, i'll be on my own purchased intertube connection and will then be fine.
  10. tv - what's the model? mainly i just want to know how the sound hooks up, whether it's HD or just nice SD, and what the connections are on it for video. and i'd like a price guesstamite from your site, since i need one and this would be a great way to get it.
  11. well, he DID blow it all in vegas, after all.
  12. hey, feel better soon. it could have been worse, i suppose - starblast (aka fatblast) could have been riding shotgun to you, and landed on you with the bike. there wouldn't have been enough left to id you then.
  13. it was a joke, but i think that no one got it. i typed it correctly.
  14. five dollars doesn't get you lights, son.
  15. seeing as my copy of orange box is currently MIA, i just registered a steam account and bought tf2. theprophetofmephisto is my ign. edit - how does steam deal with no-disc cracks for games? i generally download the nodisc as soon as i get a game, because i hate having to deal with swapping discs constantly. i know steam can 'import' non-steam games, but will it just break the crack? or will it continue to allow me to use said games? note that i own all of these games.
  16. got mine today. i appreciated the note addressed to 'mr. mephisto' =) jill, this is truly amazing. really, this is fantastic. i actually keyed in by hand the names of everything on my 360...which took forever, and shows just how passionate i am about this album. if you haven't gotten it yet, get it! i did have one question. being the remixer i am, i'd love to take my hand at arranging one or two of the songs on this album. will at any point your project files/midis or the vocal waves be available for such a purpose?
  17. i've gotta brush up =) i keep hitting the keys for crysis rather than the correct ones.
  18. what i'm trying to say is that the dual-core beta is a beta, dumbass. it's not the same client as the single-core full-release model. since i only run the client when i'm not touching my machine, i want to make sure it doesn't eat my hard drive or something while i'm not there monitoring system performance. and i'd like to run F@H on both cores when i'm not there. even if you run it, that's only a single-core machine (or at least a really shitty one, according to your post). things work differently with two cores running simultaneously (which is how it works).
  19. i require information as soon as it's available to the public. also, i'd love to know what company you're working for, since i seem to have missed what it is. edit: first poast lol
  20. i like goldrush, although like all the maps i have little experience on it. i just pulled out tf2 in anticipation of playing with you guys, and realized just how much i've dropped in ability in the last while.
  21. i was more looking for a reaction from someone who's used the client, actually.
