So a few things; a) my original partner Glyn needed to be at work so I brought along another friend they said the previous audition proved they wanted SPECIFICALLY Glyn and myself so we were disqualified for now but they liked my friend too. c) they said they'd call us if/when they shoot again... yeah... maybe. So... long story short, I got a little too cocky there. We didn't make it on this time around. I really shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. Maybe in the future, here's hoping.

So I might have a chance to make it to the next shootings for a ganeshow. :-/

Yeah. Now a game show. I'm having a good year. It's in production right now. All I know is there's a campy intro where we're supposed to take out cash from an ATM in a mall, then a screen pops up saying 'Do you want to play ____?' (replace blank with the show title) we act all shocked, and my buddy Glyn and I compete in a series of challenges and trivia questions. Apparently they filmed an episode yesterday, and the guy won the grand prize, $10,000, for successfully getting 10 women in the mall to offer him their bras within the time limit. I 'play' this Sunday. I won't tell you guys how I do, after the fact, but I'll let you know when if/when the show's on the air so you can tune in. WISH ME LUCK!!!

Just finished watching all the videos. Amazing work everyone. Another really great installment. Although I was pre-occupied enough to not join in this time I'm still, as always, very very VERY interested in what comes out of these little get-togethers both online and irl. As for my involvement; I've started a playlist on my ipod called 'ocrmvc ideas' and it's 9 strong, and I know I could double that. I would really like to do one again, and multiple friends have been asking me if/when they can get involved. Special thanks to the amazing Amy for once again, not only organizing this fun and inspiring competition, but also joining among the ranks of contributors to show their real life faces in the footage. You put a lot of effort in this time and that deserves some special recognition. ALSO; as the first ocremixer to do a video of her own song, this is easily, the most official video ever! Sort of... you know what I mean. GREAT JOB!

I'm reminded of a about the 'amen break' sample. Turns out they never looked to call people out on royalties of the usage of the sample because the task was and is just too insurmountable. The sample is used extensively in several entire genres of music, how are you supposed to hunt singular people down for that.And yet... A generic vinyl of 'original samples' contained it, claimed in the copyright details that the company 'owned' the samples, and sold the sample, unaltered, for a profit. Surely THAT was too far... right?

Another excellent episode guys. Sephire, if you're still popping in here from time to time, any chance the overwhelming response from teachers/doctors you tweeted might necessitate a pro-active company for gamification in these fields? I would donate to a kick-starter for such a project, heck, I'd donate regularly. I believe in the importance of it.

I can't even express my deep love for this song. I don't know another song to make me feel so physically every time. Not emotionally per say, just really stir a certain momentum in me. What I look for in good music, specifically, is that it has a message, it doesn't bore me, it emotes, it puzzles, it involves, it progresses, it's original, it finishes making it's statement in a timely fashion without redundancy, and pleases all the way through. This is one of the few tracks that achieves and in fact exceeds in every category. The only songs I have to compare it to AT ALL are Squarepusher's Boneville Occident and Aphex Twin's 54 Cymru Beats. In the running for my personal top 10 songs of all time. Thank you so much Sam.
