A question concerning "dynamic music" in videogames
Baleshadow replied to al3xand3r's topic in General Discussion
That was the first thing that came to my mind as well. -
Cowl is okay, but Gridlinked and The Skinner are leaps and bounds above it, imo. Although, if you want action, Cowl has plenty of it.

Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. That meets every item on your list. Also try Gridlinked and The Skinner by Neal Asher. EDIT: Wow, that's a lot of Neals.

One of my friends bought DBZ:BT2 for Wii, and surprisingly enough, it is pretty damn fun. It probably has the steepest learning curve for any fighter outside of Guilty Gear, but after you get over that, there is fun to be had. And, also unexpectedly, the battle music is really nice. ps i think it would be ironic if we were made of iron :3

Best wishes, DarkeSword. You're a cool dude.

Did this a few years ago on a terribly boring afternoon.

Just yesterday I saw two PS3s at Best Buy. I almost picked one up, but then I came to my senses. With a new semester starting in little over a week, it would be entirely irresponsible of me to blow $600 on a console I wouldn't have time to use. Maybe in a month or so, after my savings recover from Christmas.

Do you know when this sale ends? I couldn't find any information on their website.

SGX - A Meal For a Whale - Electroplankton DONE
Baleshadow replied to sgx's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Wow, this is fantastic. After having played Electroplankton, I have to say I am doubly impressed. When is the album with the full version coming out? -
Kid Thinks He's on a Mission from God
Baleshadow replied to entropicdecay's topic in General Discussion
At a number of point through the movie, they both say that they're on a mission from god, as they are trying to raise money to save the catholic orphanage they grew-up in. So they drive a car through a mall and get arrested? No, they drive through a mall in order to avoid being arrested. -
Kirby with floppy hat and goggles = AWESOME Kirby with manly stubble and bandanna = AWESOME-ER Indeed.

I've been reading up on Touch Detective, and all I can say is that I want it RIGHT NOW.

I've had no problems whatsoever with MMZX. Buy it, it is an excellent game.

I just saw the trailer for White Knight Story. I have to say I'm impressed. Of course, it's by Level 5, which is one of my favorite developers.
-
Well, that's good to know. I thought I kept getting defective ones.

I'll likely get a PS3 around this time next year, when some more interesting games become available. As it is, I don't think I could afford both this and a Wii without some major sacrifices. I can wait. And really, I don't think it would enjoyable divvying up my time between two new consoles. But damn, does MGS4 look enticing.

Mega Man ZX is really fun and challenging. I can't wait to play more.

I've been looking forward to this game for months. I should pick it up this weekend. Does it explain the unresolved issues at the end of Zero 4, by any chance?
-
That's about the only problem I had with it. It's still an enjoyable game, though.

Not to take topic away from the DS, but it seems like the on-foot stuff could be more fun if it were implimented into a Starfox for Wii than it was on GC, since you'd be able to use the wiimote for aiming and whatnot. Personally, I think that'd make those parts more fun. The Landmaster on the otherhand, I dunno...it was really clunky to begin with. I didn't like it at all. I thought a little about that. I imagine the on foot stuff would probably work somewhat similar to Battalion Wars 2. I just hope they go back to the Gamecube art style. I liked that a lot. The current art style works for the DS, but I think it would be kind of silly for a console Star Fox. Same with the gibberish voices. But man, these endings are hilarious. Ending 9 had me laughing for a good couple of minutes. Too bad we'll never find out which is the real one until a sequel gets released, at least according to this interview.
-
I also prefer the on rails levels, but a few free range bosses would be okay. So would the Landmaster, as long as they keep it on rails and don't overuse it. I just don't want any of that on foot crap. Unless they somehow make it unbelievably good, which isn't likely to happen. I like how they gave you multiple ships to pilot. I hope they retain that in future versions. Playing as Wolf is great fun.

I'm still enjoying Star Fox. Story mode has some pretty funny lines of dialogue in it. Now, if only they would announce a Star Fox game for the Wii.
-
I am pleasantly surprised with Star Fox Command. The controls are very manageable, though you wouldn't think so at first. Barrel-rolling is a trifle annoying, but only because it draws energy from the boost gauge. Otherwise, I can pull it off pretty much at will. I still think the game would benefit from a traditional control scheme, but it is bearable. The graphics are quite excellent, as is the music. I don't know about the story yet, as I haven't gotten very far. We'll see how I like it when I've played more, but for now it gets my approval.

Because they don't send you a replacement piece. At least they didn't for me. Did they send you just a DS Lite? Or one new in the box? If it wasn't new in the box, how do you know it wasn't just yours but fixed? They just sent the system. The invoice listed it as a new system, the serial number was different, and all the system settings were erased.
