Awesome game. Game Freak needs to make more non-Pokemon games (<3 Pulseman too). >3rd gear theme< The game's music is great, but it's never struck me as something that'd be easily remixed: tons of manic energy with things going every which way and little in the way of strong, adaptable melodies (3rd gear's is probably one the best melodies). Then again, I'm pretty much the direct opposite of a remixer, so what do I know. Mixers are good at doing this stuff. I'm not going to post a whole copy of the game rip to download, but I can upload a few other sources for people to facilitate remixing of teh sexy. If you want the whole rip, I recommend going to the Gamingforce Forums and poking around the music sharing section there; look around for Dubble's "Drill Dozer ~ Screw Breaker Complete Gamerip."

Man, I've got two posts in a row. What's up with that. Yesterday's is about the Video Games Live CD discussed in [thread=11782]this thread[/thread] that'll be out in October, and today's has a video with Takenobu Mitsuyoshi and Rony Barrak improvising an arrangement of "Let's Go Away" from Daytona USA. The greatest video of all time.

Composer Spotlight? I still do those? What? Yeah okay finally done. Atsuhiro Motoyama is a cool guy so check it out. Now I can finish this half written piece about Twilight Princess for somewhere else that's been mouldering for a week and find something new to VGF about. I'm thinking Live VGM #2 but I'll figure that out later.

The new WordPress blog works for me. Enough to post a link to a review of and video of The OneUps' performance at Penny Arcade Expo on Friday.

That layout is a WordPress default setting, so the "new site design pending from djpretzel" is likely still in the works. It'd definitely be nice if that new design does say who wrote each post, though. Also, I haven't received new login information yet.

I was hoping to have another Composer Spotlight up tonight, but unfortunately things (Twilight Princess, packing, and working on some code) conspired against me. It probably won't see the light of day until Monday. I guess you leeches will just have to be content with free music from BioShock until then.

I actually thought Cerebral Rose Jam was quite good until I read that post. Now I think it's the worst remix on the site and want it removed immediately. True story. I also just posted about the music from Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!. For some bizarre reason, Yasunori Mitsuda worked on the game.
