  1. I think Yahoo! is probably "worth" even more than that, since all the other values listed are multiples of 1000 and 2147483647 = 2^31 - 1. The calculation's probably running up against the integer limit of whatever language dnScoop's written it. My site, quiteajolt.com, is "worth" $556, even though it basically has no content. Yet another triumph over The Wingless.
  2. About fucking time OCR gets a Tetris Attack mix. Grabbed this first from R:TS, and I'm glad to see it made it here too. Perc's good stuff, as a few of the Js hit on. Such a delightfully over-the-top take on the final stage theme. <3
  3. Yet another dead awesome mix by an Australian. Killer source tune (Follin is the man) from a dreadfully underremixed game. Sure, it's not live piano, but I can dig it. :thumbsup: (the game really does suck, by the way )
  4. FINALLY, this mix gets posted. I've been waiting forever since djr first told me that he was working on it. And damn is it some sexymix at that. Everyone loves organ solos. And the crazy synth action at 1:50 is ballin'.
  5. Stuck in the same place as watkinzez. The only things I can come up with are "Aenima" as a misspelling of "Anima" for 22 Down and "Jenon" as a misspelling of "Junon" for 27 Across.
  6. Pretty much anything Darkwing Duck (NSFe) would probably be pretty easy, since it's halfway there already, but since it's an NES game, it'll require at least a little work in instrumentation.   7. I ranted about this in #vgdj, but it needs more airtime. Serious props to Snapple, and slaps for the rest of everyone who was at MAGFest. Shining Force should be part of the video game music curriculum for everyone, as well as the straight video game curriculum because it's a sexy, sexy series. Also, God bless VGDJ.

I'm not sure if anyone could possibly get the timbre and soulfulness of the original performance just right, but OCR has some talented musicians, so maybe I might be surprised yet. EDIT: Since the vocals are the trickiest part of the song to master, feel free to practice using http://epicgaming.us/sadorf/uploaded/CHz%20-%20NEWS.mp3. They're more isolated and more easily looped in this file, although, of course, there's no substitute for the real thing. It might just help a little bit when you start off working on the song, though.

If you want dat MP3, I only have two tracks in that form: Second Armageddon, the final boss theme, and The Symphony of Elemen, the staff roll theme (placed first in Week 47 of Song of the Week *pimp pimp pimp*). I've never seen a remix either. I know Jormungand has a healthy appreciation for the soundtrack, so maybe you could rope him into doing one. :]

It's like an Olympic figure skater beautifully starting a run that everyone in the stands knows, just KNOWS is going to get a perfect ten points, and then just stopping three-fourths of the way through and going over to the refreshment stand for a hot dog. (they have hot dogs at Olympic ice rinks, right) I agree with a few of the J's (oshit reality collapsing) on the drums, too: good writing, but more BEEF would've been nice. Breakdown at 1:34 is awesome. Kick in the crotch at 2:51 is awesome. Solo at 3:08 is awesome. Penultimate section at 4:21 is awesome. XD

  17. Never mind the fact that Phantasy Star 4 had superior tunes and storyline (especially taking the first three games' into account). Or the fact that, based on sound quality, PS4 could use a remake more than CC. VS. The numbers alone demand that the PS4 project must be done.

  21. Someday I'll release that one. I think I'm dubbing it VGF32.5, since the week after VGF32. It felt good winging it though. I'd never be able to have a detailed playlist on that one though; I forget what gold I had on that show. I've got a Super Low Quality™ copy; I think Compy recorded it. "Gold" indeed. Too bad you never got to actually do live judging. Drugged up Vig for the win, though. It was even more entertaining than his recent stint on painkillers because he actually called in instead of just hanging around IRC. Seriously, it's impossible to argue that any other show is superior.
  22. Yeah, that show was great, except for this one song called "Terra's Bad News." I don't know where Larry got it from, but that has to be the worst song ever played. Anyway, the best show was Bootleg #1. You know, the OC ReJects show. If only for Jazzing It Up, Hardman Style.
  23. I think this is my favorite of the Dirge for the Follin tracks that have been completed thus far. Raw in the sound, of course, but even for people who don't like that, the arrangement is fantastic and builds upon the original while never straying too far from it. All in all, a great track. In short: Binster, duh.
